Very good interview. Helen speaks with great clarity and Iain asks just the right amount of questions and is not in the way of the answers. Thank you very much to both of you!
Thank you both! Helen I have listened to you on line but what struck me at the end of the interview was when you shared that the deepest and more intense samskaras came once you recognized the Silence that is always here. That has been my experience as well and has helped me relax into the continual allowing and feeling deep fear and sadness. A confirmation that I’m on the right track. What a journey! Thank you for your courage 🙏

Wonderful and thorough interview. He didn't let the conversation slip in other directions. He went right to the point of her out of this world awakening. Helen is just an amazing being. I've been following her satsangs some time. Her teachings are so pure and truthful that they can't come from any other than The Self. Thank you. ❤
Really open sharing and so much appreciated . This silence is truly beautiful .....the sound of it opened the inquiry . Thank you both so much for this rich interview .
Can relate to this path so much. To get to the point where we recognise silence rather than blissful experiences that come & go. The silence always IS no matter bliss or terror. I had many openings many blissful experiences & I got addicted to recreating them rather than fully being here & now whatever shows up in experience. We like we don't like & yet it IS. It's coming to the recognition that all of this changing & unchanging is who we are. At the same time recognising who we essentially are consistently is the unchanging. Only here is stability with the changes. That is like an anchor somehow even if a formless anchor!!

Thanks Ian, for such amazing guess. I have recently met her in Madrid and the experience was so warm and lovely. She realy helped me to definitely understand and integrate the Truth. 🙏❤
Thank-you Helen so much for your wisdom. It's been so helpful for me. I was especially struck by your statement that "pretty much every person I've ever met has this insecurity, this unworthiness, this fear that seems part of our human condition". I don't believe I'll look at others the same way. I certainly know what this feels like, but I guess we do a good job of hiding it for most of the time. I used to think anger and judgment meant that we were anything but in need of love, but of course, it means the opposite. All that is not love is a call for love.
Thank you. That interview has been so beneficial to me. I live in and understand nonduality and awareness yet I experience such pain and suffering from collective consciousness. I get confused if this is perhaps my own depression but I have such a good life but emotionally I feel this pain. Thank you so much Helen for saying that we have to embrace the emotions and feel them. It's like a weight has been lifted as my ego mind was thinking it was some kind of defect that needed to be analysed why I felt it and how do I fix it. I understand now that my next step is to just accept it and maybe consciousness wants to feel it through me. I have to learn to nit ask why and just allow it. Thank you Helen. 🙏
We loved the interview. Iain is so loving and lets Helen speak without interrupting with his own knowledge. Love that. The only thing I would’ve changed is asking Helen less about her past and more about how she lives now in peace and how it all led to simplifying her awakening teachings for everyone else. This was only discussed in the last five minutes of the interview. Her teaching is all about allowing everyone to realize the truth more easily than she did. And she came to these revelations without any outward teacher. Her VERY SIMPLE self-inquiry and contemplations are pure genius. The inner Guru is in everyone. Thanks Helen for your love and patience for everyone's process! You are Grace itself. ❤️
@@susanenglish3791 Peace, or the Self also doesn't exclude the mind. The ego excludes - it thrives on it; the Self includes all. Helen so often says this, and this very idea that the Self excludes what is is what hinders enlightenment.
Very interesting interview - thank you both. I have a potentially difficult question for Helen, if she sees this and feels like answering. In one branch of psychology there is a model of personality that sees it as being made up of a number of sub-personalities. It was first clearly described by a psychotherapist called Assagioli and it provides an explanation for one way that a person can deal with strong and difficult emotions by creating a sub-personality that does not include those difficult emotions. The way that it works is that if the sub-personality that has the strong emotions is in the conscious foreground and difficult, unmanageable emotions erupt, then the unemotional sub-personality comes forward and the emotional one recedes out of conscious awareness. Could that be what is happening in Helen? Could the silent space be a sub-personality within the overall self that is 'Helen' that can be used in emotionally difficult times? I'll get one of Helen's books and see if this question still makes sense, but I'm very interested to know whether Helen's experience is of a greater reality or whether a more psychological explanation applies.
That just seems like another description of what is happening. Through self-inquiry the "person" realizes that he/she is not the body/mind, but actually is the conscious. I would call this conscious the real personality, not a sub-personality. But a better way of saying it is that all personalities are seen from consciousness/awareness, therefore you aren't any of the personalities at all, those personalities appear within you. And you mistakenly (and through habit) identify yourself as that personality.
@@kevinmai2947 You would need to understand something of the dissociative process behind the way of dealing with difficult emotions using subpersonalities to be able to answer the question. It is certainly not the same process described using different words than Helen.
@@peter.forster I see. Then I would say it is different, because what you're describing is more of a defense mechanism due to the dissociation. Another ego structure is created and used to deal with difficult situations in a dissociative way. Sort of like spiritual bypassing.
I watched this with so much similarities, however I'm still in a place of recognising the stillness but a lot of negative stuff coming up. Guidance would be great 🙏

can i hear that ( silence ) in the supermarket ect
adequate whole complete
silence
trying to find relief
dependable reliable stable
there was you and the silence
feeling of fear always there
restful quality
in the silence i couldn’t identify with the fear
less and less able to push against it
terrified
openness
being called helen
nothing there
when i went to look for her
not there at all
coming from this idea that i was a seperate being
wasn’t there at all
deeply afraid insecure unworthy angry
what was this _____ about
these feelings
the more i pushed them away the worse they got
contemplation
enough in terms of you finding answers for yourself to stay on this path
being open
if i was going with the thoughts i would immediately feel closed off
contemplating them felt open
realization that i can believe a thought or question if it’s true
intensifying emotions i took as me doing it wrong
supposed to come to see them
strong desire to live as this
had to keep moving forward
separate self wasn’t in control
something else was driving
who am i
inquiry
the question that worked was
what i am i
who am i intensified this idea of a separate being
what am i became much more direct
what was the point where you became the silence
shifted gradually
into the silence as being
argument with daughter
curious watching
emotion
completely allowed to arise
even if strong emotions arose
no ability to argue with this moment
this should be this shouldn’t be happening
love
just embraces
allows
not able to push against anything
silence stillness consciousness awareness
very very gradually
fear came back
just feel it
wanted it to go
this thing my mind showed me was negative
something in me was greater than that
a whole day of fear
begun to dimish then
never come back
odd flash
15 seconds
my body just needed to feel it
let it be felt
embrace something
( somehow the key isn’t it )
openness of the question
acceptance was tolerating it
i’ll feel you as long as you go away
completely with it
with no agenda
capacity in us
but not natural
can always love something more
loving something doesn’t mean liking it we are never going to enjoy feeling terrified or really angry
but we can embrace it
with the fear you’ve felt intensified
right back to where we started
it’s clear to me
there wasn’t a boundary between my energy and another person in the room
there is a certain amount of transmuting that that goes on
two terms
silence
vastness
are they the same or slightly different
they seemed different at first
it began to come first it seemed like a stillness presented itself to me in all those different times
ways of describing the same no thingness that we are
the same emptiness
how is it showing up today
how is it appearing to me today
set idea how it should be appearing
open up
and look
it must be here
if it’s infinite
it must feel like a sense of presence or something
looking
being with whatever was coming up
the sense that something has to be looked at
so people
have to be patient
alot of integration work can be done from that quiet place
there is some patience different
if we are doing it as and from that real self
regular satsangs all free
free on the site
in my own awakening
this sense in people that they should know how to recognize silence
i should know how to awaken
were never taught how to recognize that which is here constantly
we’re only taught to see things with our senses and our mind
no one in school says
here’s how you recognize that which is always here
contemplation work
self inquiry
surrender
letting go
deep investigation
some things need real looking when they come up
somethings can just be let go of
awakening is hard
takes a long time
only possible for a few beings
deeply passionate that it’s not true
i used to believe it was true
silence sense of stillness
7 books
2 book titles
reality check
dissolving ego
the last duality
alot of people stumble on this idea
how to manifest silence and the world of form at the same time
both books came out of the frustration
🙏
