Donna, I know you probably hear this all of the time but I appreciate so much how thorough and precise you are in your video tutorials. You patiently teach us helpful quilting tips but still have fun, and you help making a quilt feel not quite so scary. Plus, your energy and enthusiasm is so refreshing. Thank you! Yours is hands down the best quilting channel on UA-cam.
Your camera operator is so under appreciated; fantastic work. Clear and engaging shots that cut together brilliantly, so carefully considered and dynamic. A rarity in sewing and DIY UA-cam!!!
I am just stopping by to let you know just how much I enjoy your videos. I look forward to the new ones and I revisit the older ones often. That is all.
I can understand written french pretty well, but need Google Translate to help me respond: Quilting nous aidera tous a rester heureux, en securite, et sans d'esprit!
I learn so much watching your videos. I've read about value, but your demonstration on this quilt really helped me understand it. Wow, I didn't realize how much goes into longarming a quilt. Thanks you----Jordan Fabrics is at the top of my favorite quilting channels.
People talk about winning the lottery and buying cars, etc.,after paying off bills. I would be on the phone to Jordan Fabrics, asking where they got this long arm....I ❤️ longarms!
I watched this tutorial again the other day and used a new layer cake to make a quilt. It is super easy and I got it all done in a half a day! I love your tutorials so much! I learn some little tricks of the trade all the time. For instance… the way you stack same values then put one quarter of the quilt laid out and repeat that in the other Three quarters. What a fantastic trick! Thank you Donna!
Smart of you to re jig your site to stay in business while the store is closed. Great video. So fun to see how the long arm works. Thanks for taking us through it all.
Your method of teaching and getting down to the measuring so we can do it ourselves is priceless to me. I've admired the Gammill quilt machine ever since you were barely showing it. It's really amazing. I wouldn't be able to drive it myself because my hands are not steady and my eyesight is not the greatest; so I'm leaning towards getting an 'automatic' one. Your looks gigantic and I doubt that it would fit into any room of my house. I realize there are several different sizes but don't know where to begin. Even though I'm in Tampa FL, no Gammill stores are close by. Sorry for rambling but I love, did I say LOVE all that you teach!! Thank you so much!!
Donna your teaching is very good. You and Matt put colors together very well. I love the quiets ya’ll have hanging in the store. Great selection of colors.
I love this wall hanging. Donna you make it look so easy. Thanks so much for all the tips. What was really super was seeing the demonstration of the long arm quilter it was fascinating. Thanks for this. 🌻
Thank you so much Donna and Mat. We are in the UK and my husband and I are in a vulnerable category. We both watch and it is so grounding to listen to your dear voice xx
I love that you show the machine quilting of this quilt!! I've always wondered about the process. Thanks for having such easy, understandable tutorials!
Making this quilt in quadrants is so much better than the rows shown in the pattern. You’re right, it makes it it easier to get the quilt balanced. Thanks Donna, love this and I’m off to go cut some squares!
Thank you for showing how the long-arm works. Wish you could do an extended taping doing a quilt start through finish. Also would like to see more baby quilts for both boys & girls. Really enjoy watching you. You are a excellent teacher.
Hi Donna and crew! Yes I'm late to the party again but you know us beginners. It doesn't take much to distract us. The small version of this quilt looks wonderful. Those squares that Matt cut looks to be some Civil War Reproduction fabrics. I collect CWR fabrics for future projects based on actual Civil War quilts. Take care and stay safe!
LOVE LOVE LOVE this channel. Donna and her team are the best. Her tutorials are so clear. I was lucky enough to meet Donna while in her store and she was very gracious and kind to me. Meeting Donna was the highlight of the trip for sure. Thank you for so graciously sharing your knowledge.
