    Wreszcie ktoś te bestje pokazuje i odświeża pamięć. Ciśnie mi się na język Niemcom ale innym narodom również się przyda. Moich Dziadków zabili niemcy w drugim tygodniu napaści na Polskę tylko za to, że byli Polakami!

    I can see why Pierrepoint was proud of his abilities. It's cold, hard, as humane as possible, as right as it could be for it's time! He also did the prisoners a solid by making death as sure as possibly painless without any unnecessary torture.

      @@kathyabbass5420 - No, the American sergeant did NOT do a better job! Unfortunately, you have been misinformed and have no idea what you're talking about. After all, you're obviously ignorant of the fact that American sergeant, John C. Woods, bumbled almost every hanging that he ever carried out, whereas, British hangman Albert Pierrepoint was a true professional who carried out precision hangings that killed the condemned instantly.

    At least he met a swift and painless end at the hands of Albert Pierrepoint which is more consideration he afforded thise he executed.
    The US Army executioner at the time John Clarence Woods was an inept butcher who lied about his experience as a hangman before joining the army.
    He botched many executions using the wrong drop.
    He was known to be a drunk.

    Good to learn about this awful person. A Note: The pictures labelled as showing "Inside a V2 Rocket Factory" are not V2's. They are V1's, the infamous "Buzz Bombs.:" Jet propelled rather slow missiles that flew over Britain. Then, when they ran out of fuel, sputtered and dropped: blowing up whatever they fell on. Far less sophisticated than V2's, V1's were also vastly more numerous. They used special launch rails to take off on the northern French coast.

    • @maconescotland8996
      @maconescotland8996 Рік тому

      British counter espionage "turned" some enemy agents sent to southern England to report back with map locations where V1s fell - they fed back bogus co-ordinates so that the Germans recalibrated the rockets guidance systems acordingly and they landed in rural farmland areas.
      The incentive was to either co-operate in this deception - or face the hangman's noose - a choice to concentrate the mind of such spies.

    Something has been mystifying me about these films. Whenever you show the lead up to the executions at Hamelin by the British, why do you always appear to show a roop of American MPs in the white banded helmets with American troops as audience in side hats, rather than British Redcaps (MPs) and British troops in berets? Very odd, unless I've completely misunderstood. (MP here is military police, not Member of Parliament!)

      @@d.srfc5547 That is a disgraceful thing to say.
      In England's reign of terror, the killed more people than the combined total that were killed in the two world wars. Why don't you read about the famine they caused in Éire between 1845 and 1852. They stole our food out of our country and ¼ of a population of 8 milllion people died of starvation. And how do you think they justified their actions? 'God sent the famine to punish the Irish for rebelling against the British'. They rejoiced in the nation starving to death, they said it was a good way of clearing the land of the Irish.
