On the R7 slide, it’s a “Bubbits Improved Action”. Some also call it an Improved Browning tilting action. Thats why the top of the slide is closed off. Lockup is made at the back of the chamber instead of the front like most normal semi-autos.
The R7 carbon compact kind of reminds me of the FN 509, which I like. Good texture and features but a meh trigger. The KDS9C is a beautiful gun but too expensive at $1700. Hopefully the price comes down and stays down on that one.
I have been using the KDS9C as my carry gun and I am very happy with it. The 18 round mags work perfectly in a carry situation.

I got the Carbon Carry for under $1,000, with the threaded barrel and Holosun optic. Overall, I think that it is a better value.
I love my KDS9C. I do carry it every day
How is the grip texture? Does it stay in your hands when shooting?
@chltmdwp i got the enhanced grips and they are perfect. Highly recommend this pistol

So….that’s my R7 Mako… with more grip? 😎 Same trigger?
Upgraded, more ergonomic grip with a few more rounds.
Your volume is low.
