ബുല്ലേയാ : ബുല്ലേഹ് ഷാഹ് എന്ന, 17-18 നൂറ്റാണ്ടുകളിൽ പഞ്ചാബിൽ ജീവിച്ചിരുന്ന സൂഫി പണ്ഡിതനായും തത്വചിന്തകനായും കവിയായും ഐതിഹാസിക സ്ഥാനം നേടിയ വ്യക്തിത്വം. ബുല്ലേയാ, ബുല്ലാ എന്നിങ്ങനെ പല രീതിയിലും അദ്ദേഹത്തെ കവിതകളിലും ഗാനങ്ങളിലും അഭിസംബോധന ചെയ്യാറുണ്ട്.അദ്ദേഹം പഞ്ചാബി സമൂഹത്തിൽ ചെലുത്തിയ സ്വാധീനം ഏറെയാണ്. ഇന്നും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ പേര് ബോളിവുഡ് ഗാനങ്ങളിൽ ഉൾപ്പടെ കണ്ടു വരാനുള്ള കാരണം ഇതാണ്.
Ranjha: ഹീർ-റാൻജാ എന്ന ഇതിഹാസ പ്രണയകാവ്യത്തിലെ നായകൻ. വാരിസ് ഷാഹ് എന്ന പഞ്ചാബി കവിയാണ് ഹീർ റാൻജാ എന്ന പഞ്ചാബിലെ നാട്ടുപാട്ടുകളിൽ പരാമർശിച്ചു പോന്നിരുന്ന പ്രണയ കഥയെ നിലവിലെ രൂപത്തിൽ popularise ചെയ്തത്. ഈ പ്രണയ കാവ്യം ഇംഗ്ലീഷിലെ റോമിയോ ജൂലിയറ്റുമായി ഒരു തരത്തിൽ compare ചെയ്യാവുന്നതാണ്, കാരണം ഒടുവിലെ പ്രണയ വിരഹം രണ്ടിലും ഒരു common factor ആണ്. ദീദോ Ranjha എന്ന യുവാവ് ഹീർ എന്ന അതിസുന്ദരിയായ യുവതിയുമായി പ്രണയത്തിലാവുന്നതും

ഇതിൽ തജല്ലി (tajalli) എന്ന പദം ഉപയോഗിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത് കാണാം. സൂഫി mystic discourse ഇൽ തജല്ലി എന്ന് കൊണ്ടുദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നത് ദൈവം ഒരു concrete രൂപത്തിൽ തന്നെ പ്രണയിതാവിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ വെളിവാക്കുന്നതിനെയാണ്.
അതുപോലെ മുർഷിദ്(murshid ) എന്ന പദം കൊണ്ടുദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നത് ആത്മീയ യാത്രയിൽ താൻ ഗുരുവായി സ്വീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന വ്യക്തിയെയാണ്. മുർശിദിന്റെ ശരിയായ അർത്ഥം വഴികാണിക്കുന്നവൻ/മാർഗദർശി എന്നൊക്കെയാണ്. ഈ ശിഷ്യത്വം സ്വീകരിച്ചയാളെ മുരീദ് (mureed) എന്നാണ് വിളിക്കുക.
