    If you think Atrioc is bad. Wait till you see into the heart/mind of every single person that is trying to destroy him in the name of being virtuous.

      I always question people who claim to be the good guys by saying virtues.
      Every organization with a name that tells me what to think they are is another thing I question.
      The level of mass manipulation that happens online is sort of sad. Very few people engage communications in a critical way that is against their own biases and beliefs.
      The left calls itself certain names to signal virtue and the right does other words, it often it’s all a cynical way to build clout and money.

      @JB-mh5xy Рік тому +1

      I was literally about to comment about rule 34 lol Like... it's not as much of a joke that people make it out to be. It's the same way I handle cops who are cowards that let kids die in school shootings. "You either knew what you signed up for, or you signed up not knowing all of the information. Either way, you're a coward or ignorant, often those things go hand in hand." If someone deepfaked me riding dick, I'd laugh about it, and probably critique it. "Like, bro, if I was gay, I could handle way more dick than that. Also, my nips don't look like that. And what's with this shit lighting? Also, could you find a better body double? My dick is bigger than that." The world WILL NOT coddle each individual. It just won't. If you can't handle not being coddled, and realize life is absurd and weird, then you shouldn't put yourself in a space where you gain fame and celebrity. You cannot have the expectation that the world is just going to be nice to you all the time. No matter how good of a person you are, or you think you are, bad shit happens. You can either cry about it or laugh about it. Some things are worth crying over. This isn't one of them.

    Wow Anastasiya just described exactly how I've been feeling about this issue way better than I would have been able to articulate it. It's not about "consent" like people keep saying, it's not about "Identity" like Destiny has been saying, it's that people have this instinctive desire to control the narrative that other people have of them, and this takes that control away, which feels invasive in a way that just having your nudes leaked would not feel.

    Sorry but it's way way too late to pretend this is somehow new and worth talking about. We've had decades of people doing photo "deepfakes" with celebrities for porn, we've had so so much commissioned art depicting every possible hot famous woman in sexual situations, we've had animations depicting celebrities in sexual situations, we've had blurry sex tapes with look-alikes that people would sell as being porn of celebrities, there used to be phone sex lines that would market themselves as featuring celebrities, and likely more even beyond that. Having people sexualize women and men by creating products to simulate what sex with them would be like is such an old means of making money that this comes off as privilege to act like this is somehow a special problem for these girls.
    The only somewhat new point that deepfake porn should address is the same thing that deepfakes in general have to address; namely that it's hard to convince people that those videos aren't real as they get better and better. That sucks, and my sympathy goes out to anyone that will have to argue against video "proof" of something they did because a deepfake exists, but that's a problem of deepfakes, not of having strangers masturbate to you.

    I haven’t fully formulated this idea, but I keep thinking about if someone was selling a sex doll of a person, where the body was just some default body, but then the head was modelled after the person. Like, no one would be at risk of thinking that’s the actual person ever. And I think if someone made this just for their own use, if someone found out about it, it would be creepy like someone you’re not interested on told you they masturbate to thoughts of you, but with way more effort. But if they started distributing it without the permission of the person, especially for money, like, yeah, I feel like the person would get this feeling of “well, if there’s money, I should be the one to get the money, and also I should be the one deciding of that product is out there.” But this all feels kinda similar to what Destiny was saying about the identity and control stuff. I was just trying to think about it in terms of a sex doll to decouple it from any “oh no! New technology!“ thoughts some people have.

    I think the reason for the stronger reactions to the deepfake stuff than actual nudes is because, other than taking it down through reporting every video and image, there is no defense against it. With nudes, a streamer can just never send nudes, easy. With deepfakes, there's nothing you can do.
    Plus, with this particular incident, it involves a fair few streamers, while most nude leaks involve a single person. I could be wrong about that though considering all the talk of this thing called "The Fappening" that I've been hearing so much about.

  • @shadowgame0630

    Destiny makes a good point that if it was actual nudes being leaked, the reaction wouldn't be as bad as this. But I think that's because if it was real nudes, you and everyone who respects you would be doing the best they can not to draw attention to it because you reaaalllyyy dont want people to see it. Basically acting like it never happened. I mean just look at Poki's reaction to her wardrobe malfunction compared to this.
    Which makes you think if this actually speaks to how they really feel about this deepfake incident. But there's a lot of nuance to peel back before you can figure that out.

    • @Joyness333
      @Joyness333 Рік тому

      Leaked nudes are bad, and can ruin public reputation, potential jobs or careers or relationships, but they're not exactly comparable to deepfakes. Not to paint it as if there is any consent involved in leaked nudes, but with photos the person at least posed for or took it knowing the possible risk (unless it was done behind their back, which is automatically illegal). With deepfakes there is absolutely no involvement of the individual whose image is being used. And deepfakes, unlike drawings, can be mistaken for real resulting in the same types of damages to a person's public image.

That history of softcore can be pivoted to more meaningful ($$$) relationships in ways that a history with doing hardcore porn absolutely can't, it opens them up for an eventual high value OnlyFans or hardcore porn debut, etc., but now it feels like DeepFakes are taking it all away and damn does that bottom line smart.

    As a fan of Ludwig, I find it interesting how he has such a nuanced take about how we need to make the internet a safe place for women who are over sexualized and that we shouldn't treat streamers like how celebrities were, and continue to be, treated when it comes to this topic... and then proceeds to make numerous remarks and jokes about Susan Wojcicki f*cking dogs among other lewd comments. I personally don't care, but it's surprising to see how starkly he fails to stand by what he says. It would be so easy for him to cut that portion out of the community that he fosters by simply refraining, but he opts not to.
    19:55 I think this is it. It represents a stark reminder for those who are deep faked, that no matter how much they would like to build their own idealized version of themselves, to portray themselves, that they cannot control how people will ultimately perceive them. It's a tangible representation of this fact, which makes it all the harder to ignore. Your identity is not your own. I think Destiny said that he thought there might be some sort of need for at least two people to exist for someone to really form what they would call an identity, and it's the idea that you have lost control of that aspect, or you finally realize that it was never really in your control in the first place, it was and always will be the domain of the public.

    Or if this happened to a non famous person like a teacher. Would that teacher be at risk of losing their job or getting ostracized from the profession entirely?

      I thought that this wouldn't happen to such an extent that it would affect the sponsor's search results, therefore I don't think it would have an effect on a family friendly creators ability to get sponsors.
