14 day through Holland by bicycle - Day 7: EuroVelo 12 from Bloemendaal aan Zee

A holiday trip by bike through the Netherlands. After reaching the mouth of the Rhine, I follow the EuroVelo 12 along the coast along the North Sea northwards in the direction of the Afsluitdijk.

Eine Anekdote fur Christiaan, als danke fur das aufladen. (leider in English, der uberzetsung mit YT hat mir zuviel ... spass gemacht ! entschuldigung).
I cycled to Spaarnwoude "Park" (north-east Haarlem up to Amsterdam-west). By entering, I noticed the warning sign for the Scottish Highlanders (of the animal species). Nice ride, sun came out, wide-open views with 17th century painted sky. But in one of the wooded areas it became increasingly eery, spooky almost. After several chilly and rainy days, a cold misty haze was draped around the dense trees and not much light came through the canopy. Then I heard loud cracking sounds of breaking wood ... a cow patch on the road ... they must be close, but where ?
Well, ...... there was this open space in the forest, and the ladies of a herd had decided to lay down on the warm, dry asphalt. And all around, the male Scots were on their feet (like they do in a pub). First, I tried the "staring game", with the biggest, ugliest, worst looking haircut in my way ... for about ten minutes. I tried the diplomatic way, to negotiate, like "redheads" among each other (LOL). Meanwhile, some people turned up on the other side, same problem. I tried to walk around, but they reacted as soon as I stepped on the grass and I saw the reason. Two calves.
End of the story: rechtsumkehrt.

bin gestern die gesamte Tour mit gefahren und begeistert. Gerade Noordholland (Schooler Dünen usw.) sind seit einigen Jahren für mich ein Muss.Toll, das Du Dir auch die Zeit nimmst, auf Sehenswürdigkeiten zu achten. Rainer macht auch tolle Videos, aber er zieht häufig an diesen vorbei..Weiter so, freue mich auf weitere Berichte.
