I am just now venturing into gel polishes....is it very difficult to remove.....and do you have any tips on easier ways to remove the gel

Ways on removing gels is that you may use a 80/80 grit nail file and file off the gel that way, or use a 80 grit electric bit and you can use pure acetone wrapped with cotton around your nail to melt off the gel and then scrape off the falling gel gently. Hope this helped

There's a base gel from Orly called "Easy Off". It makes it so much easier and cleaner to remove gels. You still have to soak it, but it flakes the gel off rather than the "normal" scraping. And it can be done in 10 minutes! I use it all the time and I prefer it to any other base gels. But I wouldn't recommend an peel-off bases if you want to wear your mani for any length of time.

I use born pretty's peel off gel base coat. No soaking or filing required. You just carefully peel it off when you're ready to remove it. If you do happen to come across a stubborn patch then you can soak your nails in warm water for 5 minutes and it will come right off.

It looks like you just used the feel polish as stamping polish. Is that correct? I thought you had to use specific polishes for stamping.

Yes usually you need a stamping polish, because regular polishes are not thick and pigmented enuff to have a nice stamping image.. but some of them can do both! I have found some polish and uv led gel polish that can stamp! You just have to try them! All my cat eyes uv gel nail polish can stamp probably because they are very pigmented. You can stamp with powders and pigments too 😉

Stupid question - are you curing the gel before or after using the magnet to get the desired effect ? What type of top-coat do you use for the magnetic gels ?

You cure the gel after using the magnet and create the desired design. To make the "design" with the stamping technique the first "effect" must be cured. Then cured again and apply TC. Hope this helps :)
