@BMWBlog you guys need to be aware that not all markets have this feature due to their environmental laws, such as many EU countries. it’s not standard in all markets. you’ve got folks from there asking for your help, but your replies are just completely oblivious that remote start is illegal which is why BMWs destined for EU countries do not have remote start.
I have remote start on my M340ix, and while that works, it would be better if I could pre set a temperature in the menu or app rather than remembering to set something before I lock by car after driving.

@@bmwblog That is, unless he's living in Europe. In which case all that he can do, is smply "ventilate" the car - as in, remotely activate the HVAC (Heat, Ventilation, Air Conditioning) system's cabin fans, which merely bring in atmospheric air from outside the car, into the cabin. This is only marginally useful, for instance n situations where the atmospheric temperature at the ground level is very high, and the vehicle has been left locked and with all windows rolled all the way up directly in the sun. In such a case, the outside air that gets pulled into the cabin by the HVAC cabin fans from outside, will somewhat help evacuating a part of the superheated air that was trapped inside. Which results in lowering the interior temperature to a very minimal extent. This is happening in Europe (and possibly in other parts of the world), because there are certain restrictions in - AFAIK - every EU country's legislation, which specifically forbid any remote operations that involve starting the (fuel driven) engine of a car. Exempt from these restrictions are PHEVs and EVs, where the HVAC system doesn't require a fuel engine to be running in order to operate. Hope that makes sense :)
