Hey Spiff, part of the modpack includes a mod that improves the pace of the story, so instead of Dragon Rising triggering automatically you have to give Farengar some time to study the Dragonstone and then go speak to him to trigger the remainder of the main storyline.
@daniellittle3249 I'm curious as well. They had this in Morrowind where you had to come back (or wait) a few days before you could continue the quest. I don't remember this being the case for Oblivion or Skyrim, and it honestly feels more immersive this way.
The funniest part about the “Staff of Charming” is that it was actually a staff of fury, a type of staff that sends those inflicted by it into a ferocious rage, which is probably why the user died in the first place.
yeah there's one item in each of the Elder Scroll games that's basically a magical tragedy/joke. My favorite was Morrowind's Boots of Blinding Speed.. got you around real quick if you don't see where you are going LOL They also had Icarian Flight scrolls which boosted your jump so high, it caused lethal fall damage.

It is actually a mod called "You are not the dragonborn". After you bring the dragonstone back, it just doesn't give you the next quest because it involves a dragon.
You're probably using At Your Own Pace AIO which has specific triggers to continue certain quest lines. For example to continue the main quest from this point you would have to ask Faringar if he's seen any dragons.
This truly is the peak of Skyrim content! You've found yourself a new gold mine. I've never been so excited to see you play skyrim since your Reanu Keeves days and this is great and funny to see you truly challenge yourself. Please do more 🙏
I love your spin on the 100 days Challenge! This episode felt like you were actually experiencing the world and was far more interesting than the last video. Can’t wait to see the next one!!!
This might be the way the game was meant to be played in the first place, or maybe just the fear of actual death makes us be more immersed, maybe a combination of both? Also that spiff is very good at entertainer!
This is such a great idea and fun series! I really hope you keep it up (with changing rule-sets if that's what you want to). And a Vampire survival would be nice at some point, could be fun to see in Oblivion too.
Can't wait to see "Can You Survive One Hundred AND TWO Days in Skyrim?!" when it inevitably comes out! Loving this series that is slowly turning into a Corpse Windmill 🤣
This is probably my favorite skyrim content on UA-cam - I absolutely love watching Spiff work through problems and build characters/stories in such a harsh/interesting environment. If he ever makes a video covering a full 101 days, I would watch it. Hell, I'd watch an unedited vod. Thanks for the fantastic content :)

So, surprisingly with this mod, the bear isn’t in the starter cave and it’s just the 2 lads you choose to go with at the start, but very injured. If you skip the cave I’m pretty sure by default the storm cloak lad is the survivor
On the one hand, i do like some of the skyrim challenges he's been doing. The 4 hunters thing was pretty cool. On the other hand though, i'm beginning to worry game devs are finally making exploit free games. It's been a while since he's done any infinite health, items, or money exploits.
@Josiah Kelly Man i hope so, those are the best part of their games. When Microsoft bought them, i was terrified they might make Bethesda use the unreal game engine and actually playtest their games. It looks like that's not going to be the case, but you never know.
@@randomtinypotatocried You'd think so, but then where are the new exploit videos? I'm just saying, that's what this channel is best known for. Maybe he should make two, one from stuff like this and one for the exploits.
His last video was a Victoria 3 exploit video. I just think there's been a drought of new, quality video games lately - especially of the kind that Spiff tends to play.
not only has watching Spiff try to survive 100 days in skyrim without exploits been incredibly enjoyable. The fact that he hasnt been able to make it halfway has made me question how hard it could really be and prompted me to reinstall and even purchase the anniversary edition Good Show Old Sport! More please!!
The Spiffing Brit: no enchanted items allowed, sells powerful staff later: theese fire arrows(if they do so much damage on legendary I wonder what crazy numbers are there in terms of magnitude) are just fine! and I also take a backpack that gives carrying capacity! awesome vid btw
Absolutely please do continue this challenge! Also tip on a mod would be "instant dragons" which removes the necessity of doing the main quest line to spawn in dragons into the world, they just spawn on their own. Should make for a fun challenge 🙃
I did not expect to watch the whole thing, but Spiffing Brit is highly entertaining and the editing keeps things moving right along. Solid content. I'd watch more :)

@@GreenTheFae I dont doubt you for a second, my friend. It is Todd's vision, after all. I've started dozens of characters with various mods and even with no mods at all. The only time that bear has ever been somewhere he shouldn't be is with this funny little trick I discovered in the vanilla game. When you get to that part of the cave your "buddy" will become your temporary follower and will never get mad at you. So I thought, why walk against a rock for 3 hours when i can just backstab this guy over and over for what I thought would be a shorter time? Sure enough, their AI bugs out alittle and I can repeatedly swing at them with a dagger and rapidly get sneak attacks gaining levels in Sneak rediculously fast. "What about the bear?" you ask. It for some reason shimmys it's way to the very back of the cave.
Please keep making videos like this, I am enthralled to see how far you can make it. These mods make the game STUPIDLY difficult in the best way possible. Amazing how 11 years after the game came out we can still find new ways to make it fun.
I concur with many other comments that I would love to see this as a series, making the stakes so high actually makes it an adventure worthy of watching!
The way you got lucky dodging those fireballs, you could sell your sweat for a luck potion. suggestion for your next run, if you haven't got them modded in already: Mimics! our good ol' D&D fan favorite. On a side note, that assassin is pretty annoying but he does drop the bow of shadows, a semi OP bow that lets you turn invisible for (if i recall correctly) 60 seconds when drawing it. You can however pick him off carefully by shooting him from the battle chamber and letting your companion and bystanders take care of him.
These new Skyrim videos you're doing are amazing! I don't know if it's the nostalgia of Skyrim, your excellent commentary, or the different mods and challenges, but it's just the perfect mix for entertainment.
These edited down Skyrim series are so fun, if you keep making them, I'll keep watching them. I hope the next character is a wizard, especially if it's illusion or conjuration. Why fight when you can get others to do it for you (Also back seating, if you press the sheath weapon button with an arrow drawn, you put it back without having to fire it)
Repent and follow Jesus my friend! Repenting doesn't mean confessing your sins to others, but to stop doing them altogether. Belief in Messiah alone is not enough to get you into heaven - Matthew 7:21-23, John 3:3, John 3:36 (ESV is the best translation for John 3:36). Contemplate how the Roman empire fulfilled the role of the beast from the sea in Revelation 13. Revelation 17 confirms that it is in fact Rome. From this we can conclude that A) Jesus is the Son of God and can predict the future or make it happen, B) The world leaders/nations/governments etc have been conspiring together for the last 3000+ years to accomplish the religion of the Israelites C) History as we know it is fake. Revelation 9 Two woe judgments against the central 1/3rd and eastern 1/3rd of the Roman Empire. 612-1453 AD 5th Trumpet: Locust & scorpions point to Arabia, the rise of the Muslim army. Islam hides Gospel from Arabs. 612-762 AD 6th Trumpet: Turks released to attack Constantinople with large cannons (fire, smoke, brimstone). 1062-1453 AD Revelation 10 The little book is the printed Bible, which was needed after the Dark Ages when Scriptures were banned by Popes. Revelation 11 7th Trumpet: Martin Luther measured Roman Church; found that it’s an apostate church, not part of true temple. The two witnesses are the Scriptures and saints who proclaim the pure Gospel and testify against the antichrist Popes. Papal Church pronounced Christendom dead in 1514 AD. Silence for 3.5 years. Then Luther posted his 95 Thesis, which sparked the Protestant Reformation and brought the witnesses back to life. Millions of Catholics were saved. Revelation 12 Satan used the Roman Empire to try to wipe out the early Church, Satan was cast down as the Empire collapsed. Revelation 13 The antichrist beast Popes reigned in power 1,260 years, 538-1798, is the little horn of Daniel 7, son of perdition. Vatican City (which is it's own nation BTW) has risen to fulfill the role of the beast from the earth by giving breath to the first beast and by keeping the papacy alive

@daniellittle3249 I'm curious as well. They had this in Morrowind where you had to come back (or wait) a few days before you could continue the quest. I don't remember this being the case for Oblivion or Skyrim, and it honestly feels more immersive this way.
Like father, like son. Truly, a deadly questline.
So he thought it was a staff of furry
@@azarinevil the boots were the best. You make a spell of resist magica 90-100% for 1 second. Cast then equip/unequip the boots until you resist the blind effects. Then u speedy and can see.
@@angsern8455 it was a staff of fury, but he thought it was a staff of charming, leading to him using it in hopes of charming the wolves, but actually making them more ferocious.
@@grimpatriarch I know, I used furry instead of fury
It is actually a mod called "You are not the dragonborn". After you bring the dragonstone back, it just doesn't give you the next quest because it involves a dragon.
You're probably using At Your Own Pace AIO which has specific triggers to continue certain quest lines.
For example to continue the main quest from this point you would have to ask Faringar if he's seen any dragons.
Comment so Spiff sees this.

Thank you for your time bro...
This truly is the peak of Skyrim content! You've found yourself a new gold mine. I've never been so excited to see you play skyrim since your Reanu Keeves days and this is great and funny to see you truly challenge yourself.
Please do more 🙏
I absolutely want to see this become a series
This is so fun, I hope it genuinely becomes a series
I can't wait for 102 day challenge. Goddamn greatest content of all time.
The suffering of Spiff is well worth watching. More please!
This is a great series!! It has a Morrowind like feel to it after all the self-nerfs and it's magnificent for that reason.
This is such a great idea and fun series! I really hope you keep it up (with changing rule-sets if that's what you want to). And a Vampire survival would be nice at some point, could be fun to see in Oblivion too.
Holy crap. Another one and I see it a minute after it's posted. I'm calling 57 days and accidental death to cliff physics
not accidental death to horse physics?
@@thespiffingbrit Is that you, Mr Hands?
@@noonecareswhatyouthink Muhahahahaha!
Spiff plz make more. This video made me feel warm inside. Dealing with a lot of shit that honestly mentally draining. Your videos are actually fun and good to watch. I feel like I’m a kid again
I LOVE these epically long Skyrim videos! I'm 100% here for a 102 day long survival in Skyrim!
Just waiting for Spiff to install the 24h day real-time mod. lol
Loving the 100 days Skyrim series, please make more of these videos.
Incredible laughs, timeless quality. Love this video. I've always avoided Survival Mode for a full playthrough (having to find carriages instead of fast travel? oh man, so much pain). Can't imagine doing it with make enemies harder mods and no enchanting. I've always been a huge fan of:
1) Run to Whiterun
2) Make Enchanting Potion
3) Enchant Ring with Alchemt
4) Repeat steps 2 and 3 about 100 times
5) Create smithing ring
6) Become a dragonborn god and kill everything in 1 hit by enchanting gear and improving it to 6-7 figures of %
So, surprisingly with this mod, the bear isn’t in the starter cave and it’s just the 2 lads you choose to go with at the start, but very injured.
Nah mate
Ha there will always be games with exploits especially if game devs rush their games out before they're actual debugged
A fresh cup of tea in my hand alongside a fresh Spiff video, absolute perfection.
I first read that as "A fresh cup of tea in my hand alongside a fresh spliff"
The most British stoner sentence ever haha
This has turned into an epic generational tale! Something for the Skyrim history books. Would love to see volume 3!
After watching countless videos of Spiff breaking everything, I always love to watch the ones where he's helpless
not only has watching Spiff try to survive 100 days in skyrim without exploits been incredibly enjoyable. The fact that he hasnt been able to make it halfway has made me question how hard it could really be and prompted me to reinstall and even purchase the anniversary edition Good Show Old Sport! More please!!
This could become my favorite series on the channel. Please keep it going Spiff!
Just wanted to say I appreciate that you were honest and didn't fake it. Actually nice to see you own the fail. Great video!
I'd absolutely love for this to turn into a series.
Watching this series spikes my anxiety so much. Please do 100 more episodes of this at least.
This series is wonderful. I love the entire concept, and you make it a blast to watch.
The Spiffing Brit: no enchanted items allowed, sells powerful staff
later: theese fire arrows(if they do so much damage on legendary I wonder what crazy numbers are there in terms of magnitude) are just fine! and I also take a backpack that gives carrying capacity!
awesome vid btw
Absolutely please do continue this challenge! Also tip on a mod would be "instant dragons" which removes the necessity of doing the main quest line to spawn in dragons into the world, they just spawn on their own. Should make for a fun challenge 🙃
This actually seems like the perfect way to play Skyrim.
Nice vid haven’t watched it yet
Nice! We are in the same boat.
Bruh
i agree
Nice comment. I did read it,but even if I didn't I would still think is a good one
Same
Damn Illia is actually a good companion to have. It sucks she died but she has some pretty high level ice spells.
This is my favorite series of yours. Please keep doing them! They even got me back into Skyrim.
I did not expect to watch the whole thing, but Spiffing Brit is highly entertaining and the editing keeps things moving right along. Solid content. I'd watch more :)
Absolutely love this new series.
Yes. We are calling it a series now. Because you are turning it into a series. Happy to bring you this great news.
This comment is perfectly legally binding and balanced directly for my happiness
More Please, he said while sipping a cup of yorkshire gold...
Don't think the bear is in those caves in alternate start mod. It's usually replaced by Hadvar and Ralof for you to pick who to save.
E
Its Ralof, but yeah those two seem to be a constant
It is Hadvar confirmed. No bear. Ralof is over by the wooden cart in that same part of the cave.
I've had it both not be there and be there with zero changes in mods. Just depends on if skyrim blesses you or not
@@GreenTheFae I dont doubt you for a second, my friend.
This series is hilarious, I would love to see the theme of lineage continuing
These new Skyrim videos you're doing are amazing! I don't know if it's the nostalgia of Skyrim, your excellent commentary, or the different mods and challenges, but it's just the perfect mix for entertainment.
These edited down Skyrim series are so fun, if you keep making them, I'll keep watching them. I hope the next character is a wizard, especially if it's illusion or conjuration. Why fight when you can get others to do it for you
(Also back seating, if you press the sheath weapon button with an arrow drawn, you put it back without having to fire it)
Repent and follow Jesus my friend! You don't really need to speculate though because you can start a relationship with God and have proof. Call on the name of Jesus and pray for Him to intervene in your life. - Revelation 3:20
Revelation 6 1st Seal: White horse = Roman Empire conquering nations under Trajan 98-117 AD & Gospel spreading rapidly. 2nd Seal: Red horse, bloody civil wars with 32 different Emperors, most killed by the sword. 185-284 AD 3rd Seal: Black horse, economic despair from high taxes to pay for wars, farmers stopped growing. 200-250 AD 4th Seal: Pale horse, 1/4th of Romans died from famine, pestilence; at one point 5,000 dying per day. 250-300 AD 5th Seal: Diocletian persecuted Smyrna church era saints for ten years, blood crying out for vengeance. 303-312 AD 6th Seal: Political upheaval in the declining Roman Empire while the leaders battled each other. 313-395 AD
Revelation 7 Sealing of 144,000, the saints, before trumpet war judgments, which led to the fall of the Roman Empire.
Revelation 8 1st Trumpet: Alaric and the Goths attacked from the north, the path of hail, and set it on fire. 400-410 AD 2nd Trumpet: Genseric and the Vandals attacked the seas and coastlands, the blood of sailors in water. 425-470 AD 3rd Trumpet: Attila and the Huns scourged the Danube, Rhine & Po rivers area, dead bodies made water bitter. 451 AD 4th Trumpet: Odoacer and the Heruli caused the last Western Emperor (sun), Senate (moon) to lose power. 476 AD With the Western Roman Emperor (restrainer of 2 Thes. 2) removed; the son of perdition Popes took power.
1062-1453 AD
Revelation 10 The little book is the printed Bible, which was needed after the Dark Ages when Scriptures were banned by Popes.
This is genuinely my favorite series you have ever made! PLEASE make it a series!!
I love these! Definitely worthy of a whole series 👍
This needs to be a series. Amazing!
This series is already legendary, great continuation of legless legacy! super entertaining
dear spiffing brit, ive watched too many of your skyrim vids back to back over the past couple days, so much so that i decided to replay this game myself.
i last played this about 11 or 10 years ago, i actually visited every location and i have to say... i didnt enjoy the game much. i thought it was boring but i had literally nothing else to play.
so far (about 10 hours in) im enjoying myself quite a lot.
thanks to you im gonna waste another 400+ hours of my life on this game
I really love longer videos from spif. It would be nice if he did more of these longer.
Loving this series so far. Great to see Spiff struggling through the game as intended for a bit of fun
This was awesome, I really hope there will be a third installment in this series
Fun Fact:
If you are on PC you can just press your "F" key on your keyboard while you have a drawn bow to put the arrow away, so there is no need to shoot at the ground and risk losing an arrow especially if you are having an arrow shortage.
The switch from the usual breaking the game to an immersive roleplay run was a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.
To be fair, I'm pretty sure that it's been patched to the point that the majority of the usual glitches are patched like a youngster's pants in the sixties :P
@@casvandijck9338 Alas, I wish that were so XD
The community has picked up Bethesda's slack, though - the modlist Spiff used includes the Unofficial Patch!
This is genuinely something we want you to continue ☺️👍
For the love of Yorkshire Tea we need a continuation series of these! They are absolutely fantastic!
Please continue! I'm sure at least one member of House Legless will make it to day 100!
This series is quickly becoming my new favorite. Keep up the excellent work.
