There is just something special about Ork aesthetics that you have to admire..... size, spikey bit's & dakka, all praise Gork & Mork or is it Mork & Gork.
I'z ded 'ard n' fer stompin'! Kan redy fur fraggin' stuf! Stomp! Stomp! Stomp! Stomp! Even simple phrases like the Kan saying "Yeah?" were what I thought of since they are memorable because of the metallic echo present in all of his lines.
A fun aspect in Dawn of War was that they had to animate these things, often for the very first time. Someone had to sit down and think through how a dread or a killa kan actually looks when it walks. I like how they turned out, lil' waddly boys.
fantastic heavy hitter. if u have 3 min. unit of kanz, 1 ork banner & 1 weirdboy with the close combat buff spell within your ork army, those things would even end Magnus.
3rd edition used to be great for killa kan heavy armies. 3 in one squad a11 armour front and sides 10 rear one dreadnought close combat weapon and ranged weapon (vs ork dreadnought 12f/s 10r 2 DCW and 2 ranged weapons) and with the standard force organization chart you could field 9 in a standard army for around 50 points a piece leaving you with over half your points in a 1000 point army to choose your hq troops elites and fast attack units.
I remember reading a 1st/2nd Edition rule suppliment in White Dwarf allowing you to field a Squig piloted Ork Dreadnaught. Its actions each turn were decided by a dice roll, and ranged form firing in random directions, charging the enamy, shooting greenskins or trying to tear its own brain out. Very Orky. The same rule suppliment also included 'Custom Shoota' rules for small, medium and heavy varients with loadouts completely geneated by dice role, from how many weapons would be bolted together, what weapons they were, and what increased/decreased stats the weapons would have. You could get a Bolta/Melta/Flama with increased range, or Bolta/Bolta with decreased damage and D1 risk of exploding.
Great Ork video GDN , though I've never been into the greenskins Iv'e always thought of their vehicles as a scratch builders dream as they don't require the precision to build like any other factions vehicles, as a matter of fact, the more ramshacle they appear the better. Though this aspect has always made me wonder why Ork players would ever buy GW made vehicles, infantry models I can understand but a vehicle that only requires that you recycle the sprues, use some toothpicks, shish k bob skewers and Rx pill bottles allong w/some weapon bits...well I'd find it hard to justify buying the vehicles....for some reason I get the feeling that there are now several Waaghs! headed towards me ?
Late to reply... but most GW in my area require the models to be mostly GW parts otherwise you are not allowed to use them in the shop so randoms who come in dont want to buy something they dont sell.
I think a medium battlemech would be able to take down a killa kan, while a heavy might be able to face down a deff dread. The Gargants would be a different story all together...
I made a video about them some time ago introducing them as a race. It's in the Xenos Lore playlist. Apart from that I might make another eldar video relatively soon to talk a bit about their history.
Killa Kanz or Deff Dreddz? Easy, Kanz! The reason is because Kanz are amusing to listen to in Dawn of War, yet i haven't heard or seen Dreddz in action. Though i have a feeling Dreddz would become my favorite over Kanz if they ever make their way into video game form.
That is genuinely a great questions. I was under the impression for a long time that its pronounced Kahn. However, I could be mistaken since during the making of this video I read multiple references where it was implied the "Kahn" was actually talked about as in "tin can".
A killa can gives a gretchen the ability to bully an ork for the first time. I would love to see a W40K based on this.
Well do I have news for you
This entire video summed up in one sentence:
"IZ DED 'ARD N READY FER STOMPIN'!"
Sounds legit.
Loving the dawn of war quote.

brent newman You're gonna start another fight with that
A fight, well.......Dat's wot dey like & dat's wot dey good for.
It's obviously Mork & Gork. The difference is unmistakable :D
NO IZ GORK AND MORK >:(
I'm starting a waaaaaggggghhhh
i have hurt myself many times building a deff dread so many spikes
Watching this all I can think of is dawn of War 1 "Stomp! Stomp! Stomp! Stomp!" - Killa Kan
Too bad that didn't have Deff Dreads.
I'z ded 'ard n' fer stompin'!
Kan redy fur fraggin' stuf!

@@GrimDarkNarrator The DoW mod blokes might have them. They've added a ton of units over the years, even much more obscure ones than deff dreads.

Magnus would like to know your location.

Ya forgot that too that it phises them off ALLOT when off battle is that they have to eat trough straw.
I guess most of them don't think it through before going inside.
A Big Nope.
I officially love this just hearing A bout orks Just building the stupid crazy thanks Jay just crush humans Justice so fun
Best clan to run the most deff dreads and killa khans?

I agree with that. Battlemechs would have more firepower which they can use more accurately. Just stay out of melee range.
Zogging good motion picture ya humie git^^
Love your videos! Can you start on the Eldar? I wanna show my wife them cuz she isn’t getting the concept of space elves lol

Maybe they thought the kanz were strong enough as a mech-type unit.
Eer We Go, Eer We Go, Eer We Go. Dakka! Dakka! Dakka!
Thanks for the vid sir.👍🏼👍🏼🖖🏼
You're welcome!
Green iz best
Agreed.
So didthey already know how to make these because WAAAAGH or are they copying the imperium because its way scarier if they are copying the imperium.
I think a bit of both. They ape the imperium but they also make their own contraptions.
um GDN , wheres the GREENSKIN NARRATOR for today?? it all just seems like imperial propaganda now :/...... as always great job man ,keep it up
I guess he was asleep for this time :(
i only typed it in once?
Never enough dakka.
Yah git!
is it pronounced like Kahn or Can? really not sure.

Good video but you definitely don't have a very "Grim Dark" voice
Thanks. I picked that name mostly because i dealt in the well known "grimdarkness" of 40k. :)
@@GrimDarkNarrator
You sound like a Mondasian Cyberman. Those are pretty grimdark, when you factor in how they came to be...
