I picked up the Ozito non self propelled version with steel deck the other day and love it. Feels solid given it is only 20kg. It's a dream to use around trees and on tight sections compared with my previous 21" petrol self propelled weighing in around 40kg. Plus, no petrol, oil or servicing required :-) $400 including 2x 4ah batteries, 5 year warranty, 3 years on battery. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
What did you think about the mower? I just got me one the other day. I've found it does not give a clean cut and wished it had rubber wheels for better grip. But overall happy with it
Yes I think it would be better with rubber wheels as it does get some wheelspin. My mower gives a very clean cut and fills the bag. I have used the same model without self propell for two years on my yard and my neighbors yard and couldn't be happier with its performance and price.
Maybe you have to walk slower and not too fast in order the mower can cut the grass evenly, just saying. I've bought a new one today and can't wait to receive it. At the moment I have an 220v 1.5HP mower and it is a monster, it's a pity it had some issues with the engine and I'm really tired of long extensions cords, I will give this new mover a chance.
I have the previous steel deck PXC 18v x 2, it's so light and maneuverable that I would guess self propelled more of a hindrance than a help. Is the self propel worth it, you reckon? One thing I have found with the lightweight electric mowers is that even though you get a clean cut, the overall look of the lawn seems less "flat" than the job a heavy petrol mower does. Regardless I sold my old 10 yo Honda Buck for $250 on gumtree. I can say with all honesty I miss it like a hole in the head, lol.
Self propelled is great, I have been using the previous model without self propel on my neighbors yard and it would wear me out, did it real easy yesterday with the new mower. It used more batteries but i have a lot of these now and they are probably the cheapest you can get. It is heavier to push when not using self propel than the previous model. Very happy with the new mower.
I know this comment is old, but I feel it looks less flat becuase the light weight movers wont sink into the lawn, if there is a raise in the lawn due to dense grass, it will climb it.
The 18" Ozito PXC 36V (2 x 18V) 460mm Self-Propelled is available on order at Bunnings for $599 as of mid 2024. As prices went up drastically for all brands this is still very good value. The killer feature of all Ozito cordless equipment is the very much lower cost of their batteries compared to all other brands. Their batteries are good quality. Next lowest cost is Skil. Next after that is Metabo. All the other big name brand's batteries are outrageously over priced.
About to try and order one online. Very few left. What's the run time on the 2x 4Ah batteries supplied? I have the Aldi one but batteries are nla. I already have lots of Ozito PXC stuff so....
I see a few comments about wheel spin and some about trouble mowing Buffalo grass, looks like not a problem for most flat lawns, what city in QLD are you using it ?, was the grass buffalo ?, looked pretty high lawn you cut so should be ok, shame about the plastic wheels could be lighter if plastic body. Pretty good value, ryobi twice the price.
The wheelspin is not bad really and i suppose it stops things from breaking. I cut my neighbors yard today on the lowest height using self propel and I'm very impressed it did a great job, it did chew through the batteries but had no trouble cutting. Its hard to believe that two 18v drill batteries can do all that work. I live close to Beenleigh we've had really hot weather and lots of rain, really long grass.
@@dcc5931 thanks for the quick reply, my brother is thinking of getting one, up in cairns so the grass can go crazy in summer, i have only used a second hand early model ozito, 2 battery, so old blade, so new one and self propelled for half the price of the ryobi looks the go, his lawn is fairly flat, i did feel the weight of one at bunnings the other day.
My brother bought the second last one in store, is pretty wrapped, works well, no wheel spin, mulched well and a good cut, thanks for the youtube footage, he is used to his heavier petrol self propelled mower, so this one is a bit lighter compared to it, well worth it.

Nice safety shoes. ( I have two friends missing toes, so I'm serious. ,)
Loved the mower that much you did the neighbours lawn
Yeah I cut mine the day before.
Don't you hate it when they don't finish making stuff and you have to do it yourself?😂

I would presume it would have similar run time as your aldi 2Ah 144Wh battery as two ozito 4Ah batteries are 144Wh.
This mower can take four batteries, so when the first two go flat it automatically switches over to the other two.

Can you use the mower without the self propel if you dont need it
Yes you can, self propelled makes it so much easier though.
Could you tell me what type of blades does it have. Cheers
One piece steel blade.
Where did you get that from?
Bunnings, they were really cheap and sold out in a couple of days.
@@dcc5931 oh okay sweet do you like the mower still 😊
Yes works well on my grass and the self propelled makes it easy.
@@dcc5931 well I might have to go get one 😂 thank you for that😊
Videos starts at eleven minutes in...
