To answer the question about the Pyramids, there needs to be a bit of a clarification on Egyptian workers.
A "slave" in Ancient Egypt was simply a prisoner from basically any kind of war. They were often paid in the form of bread or beer, as representative currency like the dollar or a coin didn't really matter if you were in the middle of a desert. Secondly, these workers were considered highly valued members of society, and were respected enough to be allowed to marry into any Egyptian family they wanted(provided they were able to actually secure a marriage), and were even permitted to be buried next to the actual Pyramids once they themselves died, which if you know anything about Egyptian society, is basically like a Christian being buried inside the cave where Jesus' body was put.
Ancient Egypt was such a massively different place from the modern day, that you could copy and paste their civilization onto an alien species, and nobody would bat an eye. The simplification of Egyptian society and customs in the modern day is due to the result of literally thousands of years of being deemed as an "outsider" group by the Western World. Hell, in the Victorian Era, they weren't even seen as human, and so Mummies were actively fucking EATEN, ruins and history of Egypt were demolished, destroyed, and torn down due to being seen as "lesser". And they've also not been done any favors by the fact that Abrahamic Religions tend to hold a very negative viewpoint on the Egyptians, based on books that are about as valid as the Norse Eddas.
Of course, Egypt's history spanned more than a thousand years from 3100 BC to around 641 AD depending on who you ask. In that time period, there are bound to be outliers, points where the modern concept of Slavery was closer to being Egyptian society, with only one or two minor differences. This however, should not be considered as the norm for Ancient Egypt, as it would be like saying that the United States is a Slaveholding country, in despite of the fact that slavery in the US was abolished more than a century ago
TLDR: Egyptian workers were never starved, and were actually treated quite well, the idea of an Egyptian "Slave" is something pasted onto it later on in history by various different cultures that held negative bias against Ancient Egypt

its a bit different than that also. Most workers were also technically slaves by modern standards. but not really.
In the older time periods of the old kingdom and sometimes beyond. you sort of had a "labor" that you owed to the state. and so you would be called up for these kind of projects to build temples or infrastructure. you could not decline and you could not leave. but you were paid, often in Grain or or some kind of cereals or other food and supplies. Most of the pyramids in the time of the old kingdom were likely built by these kinds of skilled workers and Slave labor was probably reserved for the less complex parts of the building process like transportation of materials.

Labor is cheap lots of the time just giving them a place to live and food is enough for them to bust their back working. It's still true in many parts of the world. People work for literal pennies a day.

In regards to the pyramids the people they had working on them were actually fed pretty well. Even got a crap ton of beer to keep their energy up. Also, most of them were paid conscripts who even got time off to take care of their wives when they were on their period.
As to how they built them I assume it involved piling up a mound of dirt/sand to form a huge gentle slope at each step and then dragging the blocks into place. Then digging away the sand afterward.
Also worth noting is that they may have used an ancient form of concrete for some of the blocks. So for those it was just building the frame and hauling small buckets of water and the mixture.
Definitely no concrete in the pyramids. all the blocks we can see are limestone and granite.
there is waste rock used as filling. as well as sand. but no evidence of concrete or anything being poured. other than from conspiracy theorists who think a certain rock looks drippy.

The pyramids weren't built by slaves. It was artisans and stonemasons. They have the records and there was whole villages built around them to house the workers. Not saying there *weren't* slaves. Probably every well-off craftsman had one or two. But they weren't working on the pyramids. Just menial labor. Emptying toilet pots, taking care of the animals, cooking. All the stuff no one wanted to do.
But... I mean... the craftsmen couldn't live and work there without that stuff, so... low key, they did kinda help build them.
