I've absolutely had enough of people saying logos are being oversimplified. It's on a cycle. Logos get simpler and then more complex. It's all trends. Look at burger king as a good example, their logo started complex and got simple around the 60s-70s. Then by the 90s-00s it gets more complex. Now its gone simpler again. The only thing thats changed is the slight imperfections of a simple OR complex logo have been eliminated becuase of computer graphic design taking over the task of hand drawn illustration. And sure, there are exceptions to this rule, but it's not hard to find complex logos today just as there were simple logos in the time of skeuomorphism and complexity in the 2000s. People feel the need to complain all the time - go complain about the world war about to happen, or the planet being roasted, or the multinational conglomerates controlling the economy, or about the global pandemic we've had to pick up the peices from. But no, let's complain about pictures companies want you to remember so you'll buy their shit!
