He lost his precious child because of that vicious mistress he was tangled up with, fortunately he meet and married Minglan and they have his daughter whom she adores and treats as her own, and a new baby on the way, hopefully the first of many children for them, and there is no way Minglan will treat any of their children differently like how she was. I absolutely love this drama and the strong love and support this amazing couple have for one another and the people they both love.
@LadyF333 yes, he died of neglect with his his vile mistress but she hid it from him for year, his son was missing for years. Fortunately he does has a beautiful son with his wife and they also have his gorgeous daughter whom they both bring up together .
This drama was so well done, the love, friendships, family conflicts, national conflicts are all so intriguing and we'll played and the characters so well matched. I can watch it over and over again
xD Yes, he is so desperate for her to adore him as much as he adores her ... but I don't think she ever really feels secure in the relationship until she falls pregnant. As a man he's free to love whomever he chooses as his mood suits but for her the swing of his mood could change her entire life. She knows a concubine could come in and take her place in his heart, so she's wary of loving him and I don't think she really understands that he loves her alone. But he gradually wins her over! I think the hormones of pregnancy finally push past the pragmatic defenses she's had to build to survive.
She learned at a young age how her emotions got her mom killed. So she is always cautious since she saw how her dad was like and is like towards her mom and toward his other wives. But I do completely understand what you mean. However we do see genuine friendship and respect which is so much better to start with. She was willing to tried to reach for love with yanuro and what did that lead to but disappointed.

They have the best relationship. The way they support each other is the very thing that makes them invincible against outside forces trying to destroy them. He was beyond ecstatic when he found out that she was pregnant. It was so cute. His instructions to her while he's gone is poignant. I'm glad that he's bringing Nanny back because she's fierce when it comes to her family. Minglan is going to need her to deal with those who wish to do them harm.

He was so happy knowing that she caused a scene for him.....lol I love him so much. She was really lucky to have him in her life. The only thing I regret is that her sister's part in releasing the crazy aunt wasn't revealed. She wanted to hurt Minglan using someone else's hands. She could have had a great life with her husband because he seemed devoted to her in the beginning but her jealousy and schemes caused him to resent her plus he found out the primary reason why she had her eyes on him. Minglan’s dad was annoying as hell! He’s so stupid and oblivious to what’s going on in his home. I’ve seen love like the galaxy, who rules the world, love between a fairy and devil (these 3 dramas! Top tier 👌🏼🫶🏼) I’ve seen clips of you’re my glory and let me say Yang Yang and Dilralba pairing was really refreshing. Their chemistry is just 🙀
