    nice, been slaying it here in bream bay Ruakaka plenty kingi and large snapper every where johny dory and trev's pumping out the front, be comin up from Whangarei to spirits next season. might check your spot out. all the best lad's

      +ilex Wang There is a track most of the way, but the decent is dangerous. After filming this clip I fell down the rocks and had to be air lifted to whangarei hospital. So there is a bit of risk involved. In saying that, I would do it again. cheers

      For light lure fishing, 10-12lb fireline or simular, 1/4-3/8 2-3/0 jig heads running a 15-30lb fluorocarbon leader. Many rods and reels are capable, but generally, a real in the 5000 category size wise is ideal and a rod to match the line weight. We run 7-9 foot rods, so anything in the bracket will be sweet as. For the big snapper, a 10kg streamline rod in 8-9foot running 15kg mainline and 30lb flurocarbon traces. Let me know if this doesn't make sense and ill break it down more. Cheers

      Its a Daiwa Crosscast, 9 foot, using a 4000 reel and 4kg braid with a 15lb fluro leader. The braid is fireline, cheers
