For those of you who don't know these guys started out as irish political campaigners, they were crucial during the 'Bring back dial up, broadband is too fast' movement and the 'we used to have 2 tescos now there's only one' campaign. Like U2 and Bob geldolf before them they're continuing on the trend of mixing politics with being Irish. Keep it up lads doing us proud.
@@freddieweasel2533 I was referring to their political views on broadband v dial up and their complaining about loss of Tescos, far too radical for me :) #sarcasm
Superb! Saw them for the first time in Glasgow Barrowland a few weeks ago and had the place absolutely rockin! One of the best songs of the night was You Can Stick The Coronation Up Your A**! 😂😂❤🇮🇪🍀
Just brilliant 🤩 another band to come out of wonderful Ireland 🇮🇪 best musicians are all in Ireland of Ireland’s.Irish can sing 🎶 and dance 💃 and the craic lrish are the best people in the whole wide world.🏴🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪💯💯💯💯💯🌎🌎🌎🌎🌎🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪😉
Who ya gonna see? Barrington Levy...? Fuck yes!!! The more I see of these guys, the more I can't stop listening. It was awesome seeing a clip of spider joining you guys on stage but the more I hear the more I keep thinkin pogues who now...?
Been following these lads for the last 3 years or so. Seen them live in Derry, the place was lit. Another Irish artist i would highly recommend is Clare Sands, shes an incredible musician.
@@Drumgogle Totally agree and they have stamped their own personality on the covers they have done. I do think though a band doing covers alone are unlikely to be around for more than a few short years. I’m a big Pogues fan and they also have produced some great versions of old folk songs but it’s the songs that McGowan wrote himself that put them in the legends category.
What a name, The Mary Wallopers, What a flipping great band to Wallopers are, and what a brilliant bass player the lady at the back is, God bless them all, it is a matter of time before they take over from U2
‘We’ve added a verse at the end about people we don’t like’ hahaha. Fair play to ye lads, up the town! Seen them live twice, absolutely deadly! So happy to see them take over Glasto ans hear them talk about Planxty. Ní neárt go cur le chéile ❤️

They were a fine hip hop outfit too.
I don't agree with their controversial political stance but love their music
They also play a load of whining shite like U2.👍
@@Peter-gw6ur England fucked Ireland isn't really that controversial.

On the way to be legends ! See them live as soon as you can ! 😉
Aye, they're superb ❤
Great talent but think they’ll fizzle out if all they churn out is covers .. need to write their own songs.
@@nottingham12345 The nature of folk music is that the songs are passed down and you play them in your own style.
@@nottingham12345 Pretty sure one of the songs on their 1st record is an original

Aye BBC nuked it with a copyright strike so had to edit it out. Decided to leave up the interview.
Good old diddly dee
Spot on Jo, Glastonbury is about the music, not BBC presenters and their moronic chat.
