Hyundai has been making really good cars for a number of years now, but you still had to explain your choice. With the new 2015 Sonata, that should end.
I've heard the 2.0Turbo model with electronic automatic w/paddle shifters is AWESOME!!!
+TheSpritz0 Oh trust me it is.
Yes it is! We have had our sonata 2.0t for about a month now and it is a blast to drive, especially in the sport mode. No its not a v6 or a v8 but who would have thought 20 yrs ago that we would have 4 cylinders capable of the horse power we get now!
+Steven Bennett NOW can you possibly imagine going BACK IN TIME to cars such as the Chevrolet Chevette... :)
i rent a sonata today and drove about 12hours straight....well it was d best car among mid 20'$$$
As Toyota interior build quality continues to get cheaper with every new model Hyundai keep on getting better and better
Which Toyota models are you referring to specifically?
whats the point of the auto trunk open when you stand in front of the trunk for three seconds if you still eventually have to lift it up? After day one most of us, no everyone, with working arms will just lift open the trunk instead of waiting 3 seconds for it to pop open and then lift it up.
I can open trunk in my BMW by putting feet under it and I would exchange it for Hyundai's 3 seconds
Brian Pytka but it doesn't lift in Hyundai. If it lifed up it would be better
You can open the trunk without giving the keys to your kids:D
The truck does lift up by itself. It just didn't do it in this video more than likely, because whoever closed the truck last didn't close it properly. So when it opened up, it only unlocked. I know cause I own a Sonata.
you dont have to fondle in your pockets to get your keys... lifting the hood with both your hands while carrying something is not a complex task for a human, even if its heavy. If it is, ask someone for help, they would be more than willing to give someone a helping hand in lifting something. :) (Unless they look shady, which in that case, never ask them)
Great video
I gotta say coming from a 2013 Toyota Avalon ltd to a 2015 sonata 2.0t ltd is a major jump from Hyundai. The interior of my old avalon just felt so cheap and it rattles when going over small bumps in the road. The stereo sounded terrible when turned up high because the right speaker would start sounding gritted like it was about to blow. Now the 2015 Avalon's I test drove didn't have any of these problems and it felt more refined. I guess its just the first year model redesign curse. I sure hope my sonata doesn't get it too bad, because so far it's been a wonder.
yup the stirring is quite heavy
'...Shut up.' Glad I'm not the only one.
They need to update their inside tech. Outside design seems pretty good, but seems like Honda Accord design...
I can hardly notice that. sonata practices a design method called 'fluidic sculpture' and accord doesn't have that.
Currently have a hard time deciding between the 2015 Subrau Legacy and the 2015 Hyundai Sonata. I really like the comfort and the quietness from the sonata along with the Korean style of interior design blended with a attractive warranty, but 32k for a loaded limited model just isn't a good price tag to me. A loaded limited model of the Legacy is just 30.5k and that come with the standard AWD. I do more than an hour of around 75mph high way driving everyday to work and that pushes me into thinking about buying the Legacy. Though the Sonata is my taste of car, I just can't make up my mind into buying it. Let's see how the negotation goes at the dealerships for both companies..
NO one buys Subarus nowadays!!!
Pedro Pedrosoy LOL I agree with that too so did Hyundai back in the day. I personally would choose Sonata if my money isn't towards the budgt side;I guess I'll just save up some more and wait a little. :p
What did you end up doing? I am about to get a new car with a 1 way 60 mile commute
The car is floaty at highway speeds and doesn't feel 'planted'. The transmission is really slow to downshift and the engine doesn't feel powerful in 'normal' and 'econo' modes but comes alive in sport mode. The steering it's pleasant. Seating is very low to the ground, lower than in some old Honda Civic. We get about 14 US mpg in strictly (busy) city driving when the car is driven gently, tires properly inflated. The engine (2.4 non turbo) is not yet broken in. The interior is very nice except the wood trim imitation that comes with the brown leather (at 1:15).
I never understood why any car company would put the fake wood trim in a car. We got a 2015 sonata 2.0t and it has the carbon fiber trim on the inside with the orange piping and looks freaking awesome!!
Looks like Hyundai changed the car to look like a legit update to the 2009 version. Kind of what Honda did to the Accord. Which isn't bad But I still Liked the old interior better minus the air conditioning figure in the center.
Am I the only who likes the design of the 2011 Sonata? Every review I've seen of the Sonata mentioned that the previous design is pretty meh =/
So over 32k MRSP for a 4 cylinder midsize sedan. I don't see a point in this car when you can get the Honda Accord Touring V6 for a little over 33k. MRSP. Unless you are really into Hyundai's. The Accord V6 also gets 34mpg... Doesn't Hyundai's use to be good value?
Well there's also a 2.0T with the inline-4 turbo & the Sonata offers features the 2015 Accord didn't offer at this time. It took Honda 3 more years to add ventilated front seats with the 2018 generation of the Accord with the top Touring trim. The Sonata 2.0T is almost as powerful as the Accord V6 was
1:58 that's not hyundai
Limited is 26,000+ where I am
nC
So did anyone here the fart at 4:51???
Looks like like a bmw on the inside
Not really...I've driven and owned multiple BMW's and the interior is different in many ways
Boy I hate him because all he does is make stupid negative comments about every car except for Mercedes and the other Germans.
