‘Ridiculous’: Dairy brand power bill surge spells concern for Australian businesses

- Sky News host Caleb Bond discusses the power bill rise “reality” for businesses as fruit and dairy business ‘Nippy’s’ monthly power bill doubles following a plan change in a power crisis.
“This is the reality for business … can you imagine if you were a small business and you have taken every measure you possibly can, the solar panels, etcetera to try to cut your costs and your power deal changes and overnight your power costs double,” Mr Bond said.
“It would be impossible for so many businesses to stay afloat it is just ridiculous.”

Whilst you are talking about power, I have to pay just over $55 per month just to be connected to the grid. That is well over $600 per year weather I use power or not. I have solar panels plus battery backup & pay more than I did 2 years ago. What is this shit government doing to Australia.
what YOU doing, and millions of other who installed these PV and now discovered that they do not provide power at nights, but effectively destroy grid, directly and with governments help, allowing to lie about "we do not need coal! we produce electricity from sun!".

Power prices will never come down. We must remember, all these renewable power sources have a short service life and then have to be replaced at great cost. Wind towers 20-25 years, solar panels 15-20 years, batteries 9-11 years. That's how long they are in service.
