I just turned 41 and I started learning to code at about 30 years old. Over the years My coding skills have greatly improved primarily because of my study habits and my commitment to learning how to code.

I'm a strong believer that you can learn just about anything and at any age. There's also a lot of research that talks about learning and aging and the results are conclusive, you can learn at any age.
Learning to code isn't easy and requires a lot of focus and time. That's what typically limits people, the focus and time needed to learn the complex topics about code.
Also people often have a false belief that they're too old to learn how to code so why should they even bother.
This prevents them from ever starting to learn how to code in the first place.
