  • Today, is a special day. It is World Rewilding Day!
After a week-long video relay in which all our local rewilding teams across Europe shared with you why we rewild, we have one last video message to share with you...
Today, from the Romanian side of the Danube Delta, we share a message that shows the tremendous dedication of Rewilding Danube Delta and Rewilding Ukraine to work towards a wilder Europe and a better future for our planet. To fight our climate and biodiversity crises with their everyday actions on the ground, restoring wetlands on a huge scale! To create a world where people and nature flourish. And live peacefully alongside one another.
While we're grateful and joyful that #WorldRewildingDay is celebrated today worldwide and across our rewilding landscapes, it also underlines more than ever that rewilding is about working together. It unites us. We're one big European team with the same mission. And we stand with each other in these desperate, dark times.
Rewilding is message of hope and purpose. Help us spread that message today. This too is #WhyWeRewild. So #LetsRewildTogether!

It would not be a bad idea to introduce the Bactrian camel in the Danube delta because it can withstand cold and heat very well, its webbed feet that help it not to sink in the desert sand would also help it not to sink in the mud and it could occupy the ecological niche of animals such as elephants and giraffes
