An interviewer has to keep things moving. I doubt you'll find any approx 30 min interview in which there is no interruption ever. There was nothing rude about Gayle's interviewing style.
I read comments that she was just talking without saying anything or giving her own definition of success. She did define it as being happy; that's her definition. As to ways to be successful, it's all about being able to balance everything out. In order to do that you need hardwork, good priorities, a good family, faith, etc. These are universal and timeless qualities for success. Any successful person (long term success, not short lived ones) would say the same things. You have to see the person behind the answers, her reactions. She is being honest here. Her eyes, her facial reactions, her body language shows that. Her cultured voice and poise are out of practice and years of public life. That's not her fault. Its not a cover up either. It's just etiquette. The most important thing is that she understood that a woman does not need to be labeled into 'professional' or 'domestic' . A modern woman does both. Its all a part of our life. The fact that she understood that shows her wisdom, which I think she gained from experience.

She never answered "what's the best advice you'd give to your father"? I think it's because she doesn't want to implicate herself in any of the derisive and polarizing comments he's made throughout his campaign. I like Ivanka. As a woman, I do admire her poise and eloquence as others have pointed out. However, I think people are just enamored by her beauty and soft voice. She gives very convoluted answers and makes incredibly generic statements: "success is being happy", "my company inspires women" (by selling shoes), "my father inspires people", "i like people who are solution oriented" blah blah blah. She speaks well, but that doesn't mean she's saying anything of value. So much fluff.

Ivanka Trump is right. Women who work are stereotyped the "working woman". Women should be able to work, be mothers and do it all. We shouldn't have to choose between being wives and mothers, working and having careers. I could not agree more with Ivanka Trump. She is 6 feet tall too. Tall women are so sexy and powerful. I'm 5'9 or 5'10. I'm tall and I love being a tall woman!

Ivanka Trump is so poised and aritculate. It's intersting because she is very beautiful outwardly but that is not what she leads with. I've seen a few of her interviews, she seems very poised and wears flattering dresses that come to her knees. She seems like a woman comfortable in her skin without trying to prove anything. She is a role model.

6 years later it’s incredible to see Ivanka on any network other than FOX. Over the last 6 years this country has become so divided it’s so sad. I hope to go back to a time where this can happen again.
