There’s a video somewhere on UA-cam that shows the set being built - BIG ASS sound stage! And the built it from the ground up - and that big crane thingy is attached to a car that’s why some people thought there’d be a car chase. And he wears an 8 or 9 but dancers wear bigger shoes to protect their feet.

This is a VERY sensitive subject that requires care & compassion to speak about without compounding harm; it's easy to fall into negativity, but you expressed care & concern without resorting to shame or judgment.
Given the combination of what he's' said about his self-imposed diet & weight restrictions (110 lb.), what he's said about his self-image in the past, and what must be enormous internal & external pressure from his solo debut, I hope that he & the people around him are being mindful of his well-being.

I saw people starting to say that 50 kg is 110 lb and he was just saying it's hard to keep it under 60 kg/132.3 lb!
I think he said he was 59 when they shot the Vibe MV but used to be 56 which is normal BMI.
Now when not touring or constantly performing or learning choreo + not a teen it is easier to gain weight.

10:11 ok so the chat did not seem to get what Jimin said/meant by keeping it in the "50 kg range" what he said just means keeping it under 60 kg = 132.3 lbs.
In Vibe he was 59 kg but said he used to be 56 kg.
56 kg and 174 cm = 18,5 BMI which is still within normal, a perfectly healthy weight, especially since he is built pretty petite.

Makeup trick. Jimin did NOT have to sit in a makeup chair or table for the calligrapher to painstaking draw all those words. I don't know the specific material, but it's written on a fake skin, a prothesis, a shirt, or something. Not directly on his skin. And if you look carefully they "scrubbed" or covered out his real tattoo of Nevermind. You can only see it briefly when his coat opens to his right side. Again, I'm not sure the makeup technique they used to cover up his real tatoo. However, many thinking the words were slowly written on his skin have volunteered to be the next calligrapher for Jimin. I think this makeup technique is so unique they had to hire a specialist to do it. My opinion. I hope we find out how they did it all. It would be so interesting. If you noticed, Jimin called it a costume that he changed into. So it is kind of like a shirt.

I love hearing your reaction from your area of expertise. It brings more richness and depth to the whole experience. I forget where I saw it but that one camera was actually on an SUV, something that really impressed me. About his weight, I have to say that in order to be able to move the way he does, he has to be very disciplined about it or he couldn't move the way he does. How many times have you heard someone say he is "light" on his feet. He does it for his art and I think he has found a balance now.
5:45 It's 48 fps because it's the double of 24 like 60 is to 30, so it's normal in Korea it's not a value in between. This is just different conventions around the world. The frame rate is based on the frequency of electricity line so US have 60 Hz but Korea has 50 Hz.

First solo album, first solo track without BTS. Previous songs were included in BTS albums.
Their bio says he wears an 8.5 shoe size. They always have him in huge shoes. Some videos do have him in tennis shoes that look pretty small.

This should’ve been a frigging MAMA nomination for best dance performance! Streams should have ZERO to do with the BEST DANCE! And this was an ACTUAL dance performance in his mv, not a practice! It’s disgusting that it was left out because of STREAMS and I will never get over that it wasn’t nominated!!!

I think it's less about the actual number and more about the fact that he has struggled with it for so long and still continues too. It's a difficult mental space to be in when something as important as food/fuel becomes a triggering point in your life; particularly with someone as athletic as Jimin.
@@ThisRoscoe he didn't say that food is triggering for him, he wouldn't talk about it so freely otherwise. having any kind of diet and restricting unhealthy but tasty foods is difficult for 95% of thr people, I don't see anything weird with him saying that

demonstrates that food restrictions are a struggle for him.

Roscoe, I'm right there with you, listening to Jiminie talk about his weight. 50 Kg is only 110 lb. He's 5'9" tall. Let that sink in. It makes me so sad that he feels that he has to starve himself (it takes that to maintain that weight), to be in front of a camera or on stage. It's not healthy. He's such a beautiful Soul and Human Being. I pray that some day he will be more at peace within and will be less hard on himself.
