Hi, thank you for this but I'm pretty sure hc didn't have a father and his mother was abusive (it was in book 3) but it's nice seeing that in this au they care for him at least a little haha!

I think it was the father and a stepmother that were abusive.
According to Hua Cheng his mother died before he was 10 and that she called him Hong Hong-er and Xie Lian said it was cute nickname (I would think that abusive person would most likely call child something bad and not something that Xie Lian thinks is cute).
Then later when Hua Cheng was around 13 years old other kids yelled something about Hua Cheng's mother going to beat him at home and Hua Cheng yelled "I have no home, I have no mother, she is not my mother" (the fact that Hua chengs mother died before he was 10 and him saying at 13 that "she is not my mother" seems like they are talking about someone else than Hua Cheng's birth-mother).
Right after he told the other kids to get lost or he would beat them to death and the other kids said that if he would hurt them they would tell Hua Cheng's father who would teach him a lesson (this means that Hua Cheng's father was still alive when he was about 13).
The kids also said "That's right, you don't have a mother because your mother doesn't want you anymore. You don't have a family either, and your family all dislikes you. So you can only stay in this broken temple " (this is a theory but maybe Hua Cheng's mother committed suicide and that is why the other kids said she didn't want him anymore).
Also Mei Nianqing said that it was likely that Hua Cheng's parents would have most likely died or abandoned him (this was around the time when Hua Cheng was 10).
@@9Misaki3 haha thanks I'm only still reading book 3 and my attention spam is kinda bad so I usually get lost In thoughts while reading so I just wrote down what I remember from the scene in the temple where Hua Cheng was getting bullied.
@@yuei1828 I always have to check how the canon is because there are so many fanon theories and AU's (especially in fan-fictions) and I have a really bad memory so I get everything mixed up too😅.

I don’t really get what the video was saying but you seem to have cover most of the points that is to be reacted to really, i’m really happy with that you did and you have done an amazing job with the way that they reacted and the character designs are really good too, so in conclusion this video is amazing 🤩
