He sings in Russian, it's a song by Vitas. Dimash is from Kazakhstan, and earlier Kazakhstan was part of the Soviet Union, so everyone speaks Russian perfectly.

Two years ago when this show was filmed, Dimash spoke very little English (MUCH improved now!) so his pronunciation isn't perfect, but his interpretation of the song and the performance are incredible. And yes, it's hard to believe he gets better, but when you eventually get to his recent work, you will see what we mean (especially his lower register). Loly, thank you for another great reaction to MY LOVE Dimash. In case you didn't notice, at the last part he kept going up in range 3 times which is more than the original. The man that did the fist pump at the end is his father. So you know, for the non English songs for Singer 2017 you can get stories & performance with subtitles on channel Gloria Wu. Please use those videos for Autumn Strong and Daybreak and when you do have tissues ready as after I saw both story & words for both songs, every time I hear them I can't stop crying but I don't mind Dimash making me cry. 🎶👱♀️💙

P.S. You haven’t heard Dimash’s lower range yet - it gets better!
you will see in a lot of performances he plays with the mic in certain ways, and i do think it is to show that its live. People do claim he's always lip syncing. Not to say he never has, venues have required him to. But generally he's live.
Yeah, it's for that and to give extra depth and cool effects to the song
For example, he brings the mic for a fade in when he hits the glissando up to the C6
He turned down a show because they wanted him to lip sync. He doesn't lip sync his live performances because he feels it's cheating. He wants his Dears to hear his true voice, he is the most genuine singer you'll ever meet. He's also known to change and rearrange his performance to make it NOT sound the same every single time.

He's, 1,91 actually (you use metrics in Ireland, don't you?). I don't know how they did it on that show, but he always looked tiny on stage. Only in the backstage footage you can tell he's hovering above everybody else.

All together gives the impression of "tiny" when you don't have another person for reference. With the guitarist next to him in Show must go on it was immediately visible he had to quite tall.

bijou I think it is because of how he was dressed or because he have bad body proportions, and I am not saying it in a negative way. A person with good body proportions will make that person look taller than that person actually is.

Lol I, I am sorry for being late to dissuade you from reacting to Opera-2 by Dimash. Following Dimash performance of Opera-2 (on your video), Vitas took out a world-wide injunction against Dimash prohibiting him for signing Opera-2 and publicly calling him a plagiarist. The irony is that the producer of ”I am Singer” insisted on Dimash performing Opera-2 on the stage, Dimash admitted he had never sung this song before.

The highest Note I have heard him hit in a Performance is a D8 this is no longer a not that can be played on a Piano and is almost like a dog whistle. The Video has a russian Name but if you look for Dimash D8 and find a Video that has gakku 2017 (I think) then you should check it out. Ok have a great day
