    Fedorov might have been the most talented overall player ever. Amazing slap shot and wrist shot. Amazing speed. Super creative and great hands. Amazing defense that was so good he actually played as a defenseman for a period of time. Won the Selke and Hart in the same season. I would put him at #1 over Ovi.

    • @kftc1980

    I would say Datsyuk has the NHL record for most highlight plays, even more than Gretzky and Lemieux.

    • @nameless_no_name
      @nameless_no_name 5 років тому

      I would say you are wrong.... G and 66 had far more meaningful highlight goals than Datsyuk. I would put Bure ahead of Datsyuk because Bure played on a weaker team than the Wings with: Yzerman, Zertterberg, Lidstrom. The Canucks with Bure was completely changed from hopeless to something special for a few years. Datsyuk was great but he had a much better supporting cast; regardless, he had only two 30 goal seasons as his tops. I'd put Datsyuk at 5, Malkin at 4, Bure at 3, Federov at 2 and Ovi at 1

      @@siddiq106 you are right ... there are others who could raise the puck a little better than 99. But... he could raise the puck enough
      Gretzky could raise the puck enough to score 92 goals in one season
      Gretz could raise the puck to hold 62 individual NHL records that still stand today. (if I remember correctly Bobby combined with Mario hold 10).
      Gretz could raise the puck enough to lead the NHL 4 consecutive years where his point totals were SEVENTY POINTS (or more) than the number 2 scorer in the NHL
      Gretz could raise the puck enough to win athlete of the decade by the American biased magazine SI
      Gretz could raise the puck enough to be considered the most dominant super star when measuring other superstars in other team sports ( Jordan. Pele, Ruth, Namath) as per the Bleacher Report.
      Gretz could raise the puck enough to revolutionize the game of hockey and make a fickle US market take note.

    My vision best players from Russia and USSR all time:
    1. Fedorov - best two sided forward in history. He didn't score a lot of points because he often played in defense. And he ruined his career when he left Detroit.
    2. Tretiak - best goalie in history.
    3. Makarov - best player of KLM line. KLM line - model of ideal hockey.
    4. Datsyuk - most spectacular in history.
    5. Ovechkin - most talanted sniper.
    6. Kharlamov - he is Magic man before Datsyuk was born. Exellent deke and sniper.
    7. Bure - fantastic speed, spectacular sniper.
    8. Fetisov - probably the best defender from Europe. But Lidström would not agree.
    9. Kasatonov - slightly better in defensing but slightly worse in attack than Fetisov.
    10. Malkin - most talanted forward. But very lot of injuries.

    i think this list is very reasonable. Datsyuk > Malkin, yeah Malkin may be the better scorer but it’s not all about points. imo Datsyuk could’ve had more points but he was a very un-selfish player. Datsyuk is arguably the best two-way forward of all time, has some of the nastiest hands, and one of the smartest players with and without the puck. i know i’m biased cause he’s my favorite player, but Datsyuk in his prime was the best player in the world.

    The numbers have been done before. Game for game, malkin is a better player than ovechkin despite his star status and amazing slap shot.

    • @michaelfusmusic9447
      @michaelfusmusic9447 5 років тому

      I think in terms of raw talent, Ovie is far better, his dekes and dangles are off the charts.

    • @zarpthunder
      @zarpthunder 5 років тому

      y e s sure no problem. In the playoffs where every player is trying their best, Malkin has 165 points and 158 games. 1.04 avg per game.
      Ovechkin has 121 games and 117 points an avg of .96 per game.
      When it comes time to score good looking goals or just straight slap shots ovechkin is better. But Malkin aside from injury and being under Crosby’s line, is a better player than ovechkin when you need him most.
      Not to mention this is all done with less ice time than ovechkin.

    • @KaleFGB
      @KaleFGB 5 років тому

      Nick D Malkin plays on the second line, against the 2nd D pairing. Lot easier to score when you’re not the centre of attention. Look at the one time Malkin entered the playoffs without Crosby, out in the first round against Tampa. Only children who never watched hockey back in the 05 to 10 days think Malkin is better.

    • @KaleFGB
      @KaleFGB 5 років тому

      Nat Soc Malkin only played with Crosby on the “two-headed monster” line from 07-08. Since then Malkin and Crosby have been separated with only a few situations playing together like powerplays and empty net plays. Malkin’s D competition is not at the level of Crosby or Ovechkins. It’s just fact lmfao

From what little resources i could find, it seems that kharlamov wasnt as good in soviet league play. Makarov could do so much with the puck, could score goals every way imaginable, and his game transferred to the nhl immediately.
