Ah yes, the reception/dance party. When everyone's cell phones they've clung to all day, including the ceremony when they were explicitly told not to, magically no longer work to take any photos.

Wow, for a moment the universe aligned and as I'm scrolling on my socials whilst listening, I click on a post from Yakaly (Fire & Ice) at the EXACT moment you said Fire & Ice for the first time in the pod. Crazy!

during reception its one thing when guests are excited and wanting you to photograph something you already did. its totally annoying! What's even worse sometimes when they point their finger at you and then do the finger wiggle "hey come here and shoot this". I exploded once.

We have a DJ local to me that will take hundreds of photos at the weddings they do and post them right away and tag all the vendors. It's so frustrating because they will literally stand behind the photographer or videographer and snap photos with their cell phone with the posing we did. Obviously the quality of their pictures don't even come close to ours but dang, I'd love for my professional photos to be what the clients see first. I always do next morning sneak peeks but the DJ always has their pictures up on socials the night of.
I'm all for them getting pictures they can use on socials and website but following the photographers out during golden hour to get our shots? Completely unnecessary and they better not get in my way.
