I love all the callbacks to not only 2nd gen but also their own career in the lyrics (I Never Die) and visuals, and even shouting out other girl groups throughout the song too (Savage, Queen, Fearless). Genuinely empowering and inspirational instead of being cocky like you’d normally see from this kind of concept. Love them so much.
I think the 2nd Gen stans who keep complaining about modern K-pop not being cool anymore can't complain now. Here. Mama Soyeon has served.

I've changed my view of Miyeon being Cleopatra. Initially I was torn between Cleopatra and the Goddess Isis and leaned towards Cleopatra since she is more well known but on the third/fourth watch, I think Miyeon is the Goddess Isis. She has people worshipping her, she has snake's around her and a sun emblem on her stomach. The Goddess Isis poisoned the God of the Sun Ra using a snake and tricked him into giving up his powers to her. Isis is also a goddess of the Throne.

My favorite part of the video is that Soyeon as Athena and Minnie as Medusa holding each other and destroying Poseidon. In the intial mythology, Athena cursed Medusa because she was R-worded by Poseidon and Poseidon who was the one who went after Medusa was deemed innocent. Soyeon really said F Poseidon! Athena should have been there for Medusa. Women shouldn't shame/put down other women, and No to the victim blaming!

Ima be honest, whatever music genre this is, I am not really a fan of. The performance was banger tho. But literally all of the other songs on the album are a 10/10 for me. It's so great they were able to carve out a place in the K-pop industry for themselves and create their own music!
