For those looking for the chords, it's tough to explain because it's a very familar form in G where you hold D (2nd string 3rd) and G(1st String 3rd fret) and use the lower open strings (GDAE) to form chords, so in that sense everything is sustaining. The other parts that are different are straight forward chords. Anyways, here are the chords 1st part of the Verse (There was a blind man on the road side): G maj, B/G maj, C maj (2ce) Personal note: Here I prefer to play Gmaj7/B instead of B/Gmaj, and C maj9 instead of C maj. It makes the chord distinctions a bit clearer. Also, I prefer to play CmM7 as the second C maj chord for the same reason. Anyways, to the 2nd part of the verse (he'd been displaced his whole life): Am7, Gmaj Cm7, Dm7 D#maj7 A#Maj7 (2ce for both chords) F#Maj7, G#Maj F#Maj7, Em9/D The chorus is the verse all of over again. Now to the bridge (As the deer part); Bm7, Em7 (2ce for both chords) Bm7, A#maj7 Am7 Em9/D Then end the song with the chords used in the chorus and the first part of the verse. You can ignore my personal notes and just play it the way he does though. Good luck y'all.
