This track is just nuts. You listen to this with good headphones and you can hear SO MUCH happening in perfect harmony amongst each other. This track kinda epitomizes the concept of "ethereal" in music, beyond just the dreamy aspect.
You can hear it perfectly indeed after 0:34 seconds. A lot chimes in making a perfect harmony. What I love the most is the guitar bass at 01:11, if you have good headphones you can hear the deep bass it creates. Honestly beautiful!
My oh my I was watching Jacksepticeye's playthrough of Spyro 3 one day (since this is the number one game of my childhood) and when that part of the music at 1:04 started, he said "And this is the most miserable sounding music" 😂 Anyway to me every piece of this soundtrack is absolute nostalgia 👊
ikr?? now that I play it again, the graphics weren't detailed, but man, the amazing music made me fill the gaps in my mind making the scenarios more awesome than they were...
@@TheAceLewis the bears were named Bob and Doug (look that one up, you will not regret it,) the Rynocks play hockey, and you can tell Moneybags "Take off, hoser!" as a dialogue option. It's totally Canada.
Same. I'm sure it's one of the breakbeat drum samples... There's a video of Jim Pavloff recreating "Firestarter", and he overlays the same sample over his finished version... "ICY PEAK!"... now what's the original???
Perfect soundtrack to set foot outside with when you live in a cold, wintry climate such as I do. Makes me want to hop onto a cannon and blast some ice sculptures.
Best parts of this level, aside from the music, were the cannons and side quests with the egg thieves and ice skater Nancy, who gets used as a puck by Rhynocs. Plus, my personal favorite, sending Rhynocs off the side of a nearby cliff to hear them scream. Makes me a happy (psychotic) lil' fella.
The drummer from The Police composed this entire soundtrack, he's done a lot of composing. He played each level through to get a feel for the atmosphere before creating the track. It's all about whether or not developers want to get passionate people who love music or not.
Eh...? There really wasnt that much time put into the soundtrack. Almost all video games have there music composed at the very end of development, so it definitely didnt take the whole year to make. Spyro 3's music was actually so rushed that the original release was missing music that wasnt added until the greatest hits version
Mi agradecimiento total al genio de Stewart Copeland, no solo por hacerme fanático de la batería, sino por haberme dado la mejor infancia con estas magníficas composiciones!!!!!!
I loved this game for everything my childhood was everything because of this game its horrible to think ive grown up and all these games from childhood are relics and really rare i need to buy this game and re-live my memories OH MY GOD THE NOSTALGIA IS INTENSE LOVED PLAYSTION ONE an all the games that made it what it was
I know that Fireworks Factory and Dark Passage are a staple bop in the Spyro fanbase. For good reason of course. But Icy Peak I mean listen to this. I feel like Icy Peak is a track that’s kind of not thought about as much
I like Spyro Year Of The Dragon it’s one of my favorite games from Ps1 along with Crash Bandicoot and the first and second Spyro The Dragon games and this level Icy Peak is also one of my favorites because the music is great and every time I see snow falling or snow on the ground in the winter I think of this music from Spyro Icy Peak.
I just realized.... that bass melody going throughout most of this sounds like the main motif of Genshin Impact. Or more accurately, genshin impact's main motif sounds like this song's main bassline since this obviously came out over a decade before Genshin Impact's development STARTED.
I prefer Spyro 2 over Spyro 3 but one thing Spyro 3 does better than 2 are its snow levels. Icy Peak and Frozen Altars are some of my favorite levels of all time.
Who else gets an SSX vibe from this? Also, listen to this, then Blizzard Peaks from Sonic Rush Adventure, and TELL me they wouldn't sound awesome mashed up together.

Sometimes I find it Ironic that Stewart might be remembered for his Spyro Music more than The Police someday. Such a talented soul.
@LookingTheBest: He also composed the theme of the original TV series "The Equalizer" with the late Edward Woodward from the 1980's.
every time it is snowing or there is snow on the ground this song comes into my head
1:04 this part is still so nostalgic to me. Some people don’t like it, but man, I can’t stop listening to it.
Would be great for a creepy pasta no? XD

steward copelands masterpiece right here ! so much stuff going on in this song
ikr?? now that I play it again, the graphics weren't detailed, but man, the amazing music made me fill the gaps in my mind making the scenarios more awesome than they were...
I remember chasing down the egg thieves in this level. Nah nah nah nah naaah
lol
This noise triggers my stomach acids.
The best part was punting the little Rynocs off the ledges
you could do the same thing with the big guys.
You can also so that in Ice Cavern from Spyro 1 actually, which you're supposed to do.
I member
I can hear it now
Agreed!
❄️❄️🐲🐲
Whenever it snowed when I was a kid this song would just play in my head. Especially when I went sledding. Damn those were some memories!
The Canadian realm. This place was fun.
LOL I was thinking to myself what type of accent is this?
Minnesotans and Wisconsinites have pretty similar ones

I always figured they were Minnesotan, since that's where I grew up and they sounded like my family :)
@@DElkan TAKE OFF TO THE GREAT WHITE NORTH
I remember how much I played this level on the demo I use to own.
Definitely one of my favorite worlds!!

Nice pfp!
WHAT DRUM SAMPLE IS THIS?! Everyone has been hunting this beat down for decades!
Sounds like a congle but it might not be

Same here
It gives me ELO vibes, forgot which song.
Easily
Do agree
Same.
The nostalgia....
Goddamn does this take me back.
Back when game developers put a fuck ton of time and effort into their music. This and so mamy other spyro songs are legendary
Fact
actually they put a year into the music lol
The drummer from The Police composed this entire soundtrack, he's done a lot of composing. He played each level through to get a feel for the atmosphere before creating the track. It's all about whether or not developers want to get passionate people who love music or not.
What about the Ratchet and clank games?

The first time I remember this level was on a demo and i was hooked.
When my sister first showed me the part where you go under the ice in this level, it absolutely blew my 5 yr old mind
The ice skater mini game tho
Most spyro minigames you were able to cheese. Not the one with the boxing yeti though
This track is so relaxing
...so frantic!
Mi agradecimiento total al genio de Stewart Copeland, no solo por hacerme fanático de la batería, sino por haberme dado la mejor infancia con estas magníficas composiciones!!!!!!
My sister always says this tune reminds her of me as I was always playing it a lot. Cannot wait for the new version on PS4.
Spyro 3 had a lot of great themes but this prob my fave
Man I loved the tune to this level, one of my inspirations for making music.
Arguably one of the best spyro song in the series
This song came into my head today. Had to revisit it! :D
I remember all these tracks i grew up playing this game an it was my very first playstation game
musical genius
I love this music so much, it's just ear pleasing
Best video game soundtrack
My childhood right here!
"What? You dont want to pay? What are you saving for money for, another sequel?"

o boy i loved this game so much
just collecting all the gems was so much fun
what game does that nowadays... :C
Brings back memories when I would wake up at 7am on Saturday and see my older brother playing Spyro 3 on the PS1.
The music always takes me back.
I remember having a jam pack 2000 and this level was a demo on it. I loved it so much I played it everyday.
This and the theme from Fireworks Factory were my favorite level themes from this game
probably the best track in the game..... i get a vibe from this song all the time!
The ice skating kittens🐱❤️
@Isaac Canno: That's Frozen Altars, but, yet another great icy level though.

I recommend playing it on an emulator, its awesome!
The dance at the end tho!
One of my favorite, the drums are so famous and at the time I'm pretty sure I already eard those in other games like for exemple Red Faction 2
You'll find the drum loops in Spectrasonics Liquid Grooves.
I know that Fireworks Factory and Dark Passage are a staple bop in the Spyro fanbase. For good reason of course. But Icy Peak I mean listen to this. I feel like Icy Peak is a track that’s kind of not thought about as much
Ohh the level that took far to long to complete. Having to go back to this world as a kid still haunts me to this day 🤦🏾♂️
I remember laughing so much on the ice skating mini game when the skater would get hit by the hockey stick from the Rhynocs 😂😂😂😂😂
I remember spending hours just shooting the sea gulls with the cannon lol
The trilogy comes out tomorrow... I seriously hope the trilogy does one of my all time favorite stages justice.
Two days from my end! I really hope so as well, this game's soundtrack deserves justice!

It's a hard choice on which snow themed level in Spyro 3 is more iconic,Icy Peak or Frozen Altars even if both of their themes are amazing

this was my family's favourite level because they have the same accent
this fucking drum sample haunts me
x2
bruh it’s not from this planet

It took me years of growing up to realize the world inhabitants were Canadian 😅
Texas's theme song for February 2021..

Al Qaeda beaver: Bwahahahaha **BOOM** 😆😆💣💣💥💥
this level is very near of monkey monastery in spyro enter the dragonfly
0:41 nice
could make an entire song out of that
Drums and synthesizer organs.
MUHAHAHA!! (explodes)
definitely no secret ledges that house secret gems. I definitely not waste a few hours of my life looking for them.
Or you could just come back when you get the ability to detect gems with Sparx.
Honestly it was always a tie between this and Enchanted Towers as my favourite level of Midday Gardens
Sounds like iron maidens man who would be kings first solo..
So, Icy Peak is just Canada. Yeah, I can buy it.
The rat's that blew themselves up :)
"MUA HAHAHA..... BOOM"
Don’t drive while playing this song
Nancy!!!! Oh, Nancy she was annoying yet cute.
Parts of this track almost sound like menu music from a Nintendo system.
I liked riding the trolley or whatever it was called i know someone is gonna correct me on that
Robert Castillo TROUBLE WITH THE TROLLEY, EH?
"BWAHAHAHA"... Fucking TNT Rats
Sick track but I still think the demos had it right with fireworks factorys music for this level.
God I fucking love this song. Can anybody tell me what the bpm is? I wanna learn this shit on like a launchpad or something.
Im not the best at this but the drum break sample plays at 136 bpm (Or that's what the spyro soundfont collection document says)
