Miss Kitty is probably whispering in your ear at night to grow tons of broccoli this year.😃
Nice video Robbie.👍 I can always find folks who want my extra seedlings.👩🏾‍🌾
By the way you can plant brassicas deep...up to the first leaves. This helps if they get leggy. Also brassicas like a firm soil when you transplant them. It makes for a stronger plant that won't flop over.
Went out and got my pots some clothes today. I'm going to have fun dressing them up...especially the buckets from Lowe's. Thanks!💕

I start seeds in those black take out containers with the clear lids. I usually use them after they don't look so good for keeping leftovers, so that they still have some life before they get thrown out or recycled.

Hi dear. I have ordered most of the plants you share. I have my kitchen counter full of baby plants. I just received purple tumeric. 💜 I need to make your winter tote. You have literally been all I am watching here in az. We are getting down to 28 here in Southern Arizona. I have covered, wrapped, brought in my garage, and in my living room 😆😊. I love ❤️ 😍 gardening and you have helped me so much. Please keep Sharing. 🙏 you have been such a blessing. God bless all.

Thank you so much Robbie 🌟 I've planted my broccolis and all my brassicas early in the season and know they're almost ready! at first all my plants were filled with cabbage caterpillars! Brassicas attract these caterpillars....and they were eating my plants. I did everything to make them go away until an agronomist told me to put Thuringia bacillus! I looked for this and saw that it is ok and in fact this is how I saved all my plants! they were not only eating my vegetables, but they had laid eggs everywhere, on all my plants.
I also got earthworms! they had some plants that I bought and put in the totes where I have my lettuces and feeding them!!! I am very very happy!!! I can't throw away any seedlings too! I plant them and if they make it that is ok! The paper caps they are plastic indeed but I also like to use them like you've shown us!!!
Can you believe that I still have cherry tomatoes?!!! I cut them and rip them off inside!!! So crazy weather here...
Please take care Robbie ❣️ Be safe you and Gary ✨🌻
Thank you so much for your helpful videos 👏💗🌟

I have a problem with starting too many seedlings. Lol! I do keep extra, because like you said, things happen, plus, this way, I can give some to neighbors. I worked outside today, getting my totes ready, and chopping up cannas for mulch. I set out some lettuces and broccoli last week, and I have a few kale seedlings that made it through our coldest weather during Christmas. I live in Florida, and that's the coldest weather we've had here since 1983! I planted some tomato seeds, and some pollinator plants yesterday, and have those under a lamp, with a plant light, and saran wrap over them. They do really good like this for me.
I enjoy, as well as learn so many things from your videos! Kitty is ALWAYS a bonus as well!🥰

I moved back to this area about 2 years ago. I ran into a lady I worked with years ago. She actually lives about 2 blocks from me. She invited me to have a seed starting day in February. She has a list of what plants to start and when. Considering I have lived in numerous states from Alaska to Arizona and many others. It has been difficult to keep up with planting zones. I am excited to learn those skills since this is my permanent location. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

Since I had a few rooted other plants the pots got repurposed, was just right. The few lettuce that made it look quite healthy. Now I have the little black gnat war😂 fly papers do a great job though.

    Hi Robbie. CHALLENGE FOR YOU!
I'm Sure Gary has some copper wire in his garage or could find some. Wrap it clockwise around A tall stick of wood, branch, or even a dowel. Wrap it 2-3 times at the bottom then all the way up like an elongated snake, not tight, leaving the end above the top of the stick like an antenna. Put the bottom of the stick A few inches into the soil of a plant, next to another plant that's the same plant you planted at the same time but in another container with same weather conditions. Watch to see if one grows way bigger than the other. It's called electroculture. It's starting to become popular again, especially with the poor quality at stores, price, and lack of availability. The vegetables grow an ENORMOUS size! Its been around since 1700's, then was revitalized again in 1800's, then again in early 1920's. The pesticide and fertilizer companies did their best to squash and debunk this way of growing. You will 99-100% not have any pests, no need for fertilizers, etc. Just need dirt. China is starting to use this now in massive food production because it works! Look it up. Other people in other countries are using it again. A woman here in Washington State, where I'm at, has the biggest vegetables! There are pictures on the Internet from the 1800's and to this day posting vegetables that are as big as a toddler to big as a small shed. Id love to see your readers try it to. I just got my 18 gauge roll of copper wire and am going to experiment with seedlings too. You can get any Gauge but 16 (a bigger gauge) is also good. The science behind it is fascinating.

If you see what transplants cost these days at the big box stores, the nice thing to do is grow extra starter plants to give away to people. Some are growing food to help make ends meet and to have a healthier alternative to the pesticide grown, colored cellulose at the supermarket.
Can find people who want starter plants through local gardening groups on Facebook, Nextdoor, and local community gardens.
Starting seeds closer together in recycled food containers and then up-pottting them has been helpful in small grow light set up and small outside growing area.
