Apple and Samsung selling earbuds, right after they removed the headphone jack from their smartphones feels scummy. That's why I like the idea of a neutral company like Sony selling high quality earbuds.
@@hellowill it's a trade-off. You don't need to embed a battery and chip in wired headphones so you can have great audio quality that's lighter and smaller, which matters for the comfort of wearables. Oh and you can make it cheaper. And there's better selection. If USB-C had a better selection, which is different from your argument that wireless is superior by the way, then it wouldn't be a problem. Not a lot of good choices for USB-C headphones honestly. Currently, the 3.5mm headphone jack is the best option for wired headphones. And it doesn't change the fact that Apple announced the removal from iPhone when they revealed the AirPods, and doing so would clearly help their sales (consumer hostile).
I love mine. They are small and lightweight but sound decent imo. The lid hinge could be improved, but it does snap shut and is satisfying to use. Foam ear tips really help with isolation and I enjoy using those. I sleep with them in and get about 6 hours ANC which works for me.
I love Sony headphones! I have a pair of XM4s that I use when I'm at home, and I bring my Link Buds S that I picked up recently with me when I go out, and they're amazing! 💖
These are my first pair of truly wireless earbuds. Got them for $130 on a Best Buy sale, not regretting it a bit. Plus because they're so incredibly lightweight, I can actually go on jogs and they still stay snug in my ears. Easily my favorite pair of earbuds for the price point
@@deyyuz96 nobody is taking 6 hours walks sadly lol. I’m sure you can pop them back into the case for 5 minutes to get that extra hour if you really want it
I always called the link buds s the XM-4 lite. I love my XM-4 but their size makes my outer ear area hurt. The S are so compact that you forget they are in. The sound quality is surprisingly good and ANC is not bad at all. I even sleep in them and they stay in hardly falling out when sleeping. Only thing I don’t like is no wireless charging.
I've been using these for about few months and they have been a wonderful experience listening and appreciating the ANC a lot. One thing that is quite important but a lot of buds tend to miss are the pairing button on the case. It's much much easier to do that then pressing on the buds, wait for the colours to change in order to pair (Looking at you Samsung Buds2) An annoyance for me is that since it has dual connection method, one side might end up maxing out the volume on iOS devices for some unknown reason and being unable to fully customize the touch settings is a big bummer. It would be an amazing deal if Sony just allows us to set long hold to increase/decrease volume on either side of the buds instead of premade ones that they have. I still would recommend this as it is literally in the middle of not too expensive and not too budget earbuds but sound amazing.
During a Call I had in a noisy environment, They clearly isolated my voice from everything going around me, They are a little bit pricey but they are worth it, Sound good, ANC works well, Decent presets, I would recommend.
My linkbuds would pause (or sleep) on me sometimes after a few minutes while in use. I would have to tap each to connect them back on. I would be quite. Any idea why?
i enjoyed them, especially for the $80 i got them for on ebay. though the controls & fit weren't really all that enjoyable. sound quality was decent but they wouldn't stay in my ears. ended up getting the galaxy buds2 pro & they're really nice once EQ'd properly
Going through multiple reviews and no ones mentioning the auto turn off problems. Maybe it's just me but they constantly turn off for me and I have to jump through loops to keep them from doing so it's extremely frustrating
these are so great i had ones and loved everything about them but unfortunately after like 3 days of having them, whenever i activated noise cancellation there was this windy noise that was so loud i couldnt hear my music so i returned them
Two linkbuds S I’ve owned have had this same hardware issue. it’s a common issue they have and Sony hasn’t said anything about it. I don’t recommend them one bit if you’re looking for noise cancellation since that wind noise issue renders noise cancellation and ambient mode pointless
Do you guys know these linkbuds S have a reoccurring issue where they get a wind noise issue when in noise cancelling and ambient mode? People please don’t buy these earbuds.
never had a pair of sony buds, I have B&O sports&EQ, Sennheiser cx plus, momentum 3, Fiiti hifi pods-mifo 2023 Upgraded Version O5 Plus Gen 2 True Wireless Earbuds, Bowers and wilkins p7.
I absolutely hated these headphones. You're milage may vary, but I dropped them once and the case has as noticable crack. You also have master slave mode, which is so idiotic you don't even know.
Stop promoting garbage products. Sony is a dying brand therefore limited/useless support. My purchased my Sony Linkbuds S in Germany and migrated to Canada. My battery died after 5-6 months and Sony support wants me to send them back to service centre in Germany.

...just get a USB-C wire then. The facts are, wireless is more convenient.

Great timing on this video Ken - as i'm buying these next week when i get paid anyway!
Enjoy them!!
buy one for me as well?🙄😂😂💀..jk
The fact that the Linkbuds S support LDAC makes them a no brainer, essentially a budget XM4.
Yeah but you basically remove almost 50% of your battery life in that way
@@deyyuz96 Not a problem for me. I often take a walk of about an hour, not 6 hours.

Got these the day they came out, kinda nice to see the confirmation I made a good decision. I use them every night ❤
bro today i was looking at your videos and was wondering when u would upload and u just happened to upload now. cool
These are the best buds ever! The noise cancelling is equal to the XM4s, but smaller. Great sound also.

I might get these over another pair of AirPods!😊😊
Does Sony LinkBuds S seamlessly connect to iPhones & MacBook Air?

Does it support multi (2) device connection simultaneously?
Yes
What is the outro music?
You should try the Skullcandy grind fuel they are they best I have used ever 10 hours buds extra 30 hours with the case I believe.
hey my name’s Austin too!
are they reasonable upgrade from xm3's?
absolutely
I absolutely hated these headphones. You're milage may vary, but I dropped them once and the case has as noticable crack. You also have master slave mode, which is so idiotic you don't even know.
better than xm4's, this is revolutionary, even I own them. too good.

The real test if they could survive the Mojo and Scarlet Fire
so we can slap a "DankPods approved" seal of approval?
Damn, Phony! I thought they were Apple's AirPods Pro 🤭😂

The term “color way” is so annoying. Just, why..?
