- Dolton Mayor Tiffany Henyard has filed a lawsuit demanding that Village Hall be deemed the primary location for village business. NBC Chicago’s Regina Waldroup reports.

The meeting at the Park District was so quiet and professional...until the mayor showed up. The safety issues are with the thugs (employed the mayor) that keep attacking folks who speak up against the mayor. The next election can't happen soon enough.

So, her argument is that there is only one place where the meetings can take place. If I were the trustee's lawyer, my argument would be that the meeting can be held at any location where the trustees can safely convene with a quorum. What if there's a disaster and the village hall is not accessible
AG letter stated Village hall seated capacity of 43 was insufficient, he also criticises the board for not shifting the meeting to another loaction after he advised them to do so twice. The letter was addressed to Tiffany.
So Twisted Tiffany is completely wrong AGAIN.
Tiffany failed to respond to the AG twice. She ended up getting Lacey to reply and the AG noted he did not address the AG questions

You know darn well Tiffany's lawyer who was saying that the meetings were illegal don't have a leg to stand on. Literally the attorney general had a binding order saying that they couldn't hold it in the city hall. So what's her excuse going to be for trying to hold one? Plus she's already been told by the judge if she attempted to appoint people she'd go into contempt and what she try to do. The municipal council can meet with the citizens at any time and hold a panel discussion.
The municipal council is entitled to install an interim mayor until a new mayor is elected to supervise business.
Interestingly, things are now how could "Tiff" still have a say ?

At the end of the day, the taxpayers are footing the bill for the attorneys representing both the mayor and trustees. The lawyers from both sides are skipping through Dolton with magnets sucking the money out the Village. When you coupled that with the drama that's going on at the school boards (the media doesn't cover this as much), Dolton is very expensive and will continue to be expensive to live in due to the high taxes it requires to fight lawsuits that are filed between government officials
