    This is a historical match, aside the technical aspects. To watch Sir Raymond Celulemans wielding the cue again is a privilege. To be kept as Great Billiard Players Gallery. Thanks also to Mr. Blomdahl, of course!

      POVPOOL ¡GREAT, POVPOOL! As far as I know, carom billiards begun in France around XV century, and was allowed to play only by the Aristocracy, not for the plebs... Nowadays is popular in western Europe, South America and some Asiatic countries (South Korea, Japan...) And also not few young women are interested in learning! Particularly 3Cushion billiards. Kind regards, take care if you try a 'massè' shot!!!

    Wow. I live right in Burbank and have been searching for a place that might have a Carom table. Looks like I'm driving to Noho this weekend!

      Drew Newman That's great that you found this place. The owner, Hector is often there. Please remember to mention that you saw it on POV Pool - he will appreciate that the promotion works. Best wishes and maybe I'll see you there someday.

    Table seemed playing really short for 3C table. Lot of humidity perhaps?

      I agree this table condition is not the best little short and I think it is becas of humidity.

    Every time I see these dumb "snooker's harder" arguments, I say, really...go check out 3 cushion billiards. I play pool at a decent league level (did, anyway, not practicing has pretty much canned even that), and this stuff looks like pure magic to me. What REALLY blows my mind is when these guys miss, it seems like almost every one is within a half inch of the ball, most much less than that.

    This needs to be explained. Otherwise, to the casual viewer it appears that two idiots have no idea the table has no pockets and they're are actually wasting THEIR and everyone else's time in an exercise roughly equivalent to listening to paint drying.

      Tony Hernandez This is the playlist for the event. I'm actually uploading more tonight from this event. About 25 matches total. Plus another Blomdahl/Ceulemans match played the day before this match. Ceulemans vs Munoz is highly recommended from this event (coming soon to this playlist).

      So it took you 1.5 years to response this video, so I will take my half a year to say that the answer is "No", I do not bugger my sister. Setting insults aside, why don't you actually get involved into Carom Billiards, play pool afterwards, and then you come back with a response somewhere along the lines of "Now I understand". But since your goober mind will not do so, I will leave you with the liberty to do as you please -possibly toss another insult towards me, since that seems to be the highest probability.

    • @rootlesscosmopolite
      @rootlesscosmopolite 8 років тому +2

      Wikipedia: "In October 2003 King Albert II of Belgium honoured Raymond Ceulemans by awarding him a knighthood (Ridderschap) in recognition of his lifetime achievements."

    • @EricFra
      @EricFra 8 років тому +4

      I got the same rank as him in the Order of Leopold II and it gives nobody the right to be called "Sir"...
      You may also be named "Baron" by the King of Belgium and you'll not be called "Sir" by someone.
      I think it's more a mark of respect (that he deserves).

  • @johannesbluemink4581
    @johannesbluemink4581 5 років тому

    I don't mind the 'Sir', but he is Belgian, ha ha. Great player, but these days, Coudron is the master of them all! And don't forget Dick Jaspers!
