I can see Monk walking in blissful circles listening to these guys playing his tune. I think Peter used his left pinky about 3 times during this gig. He phrases so wonderfully. What an inspiration. Especially since I got a sliver in my left pinky yesterday and it still hurts. I'm going to rest it and try to phrase like Peter. I'm sure it's that simple🤔😏.
Even the reverb noise @ 24.14 was perfectly in rhythm...lol...superb performance....Emmet's playing has improved leaps since doing the Emmet's Place gigs...just goes to show how Jazz (the most important creation ever) is communicated (via osmosis) from the great musicians this exciting Trio has invited as guests....keep it up....we love it!!!
Kyle is killing it back there. He really plays for the music, not himself. Great trio all around and what can you say about Pete??? This made me smile.
Victor Young’s “Delilah” is among the most gorgeous & sensual tunes in the jazz songbook…💋🎼 Emmet, Russell, & Kyle - stay strong, trio. May a hand ne’er touch those locks of yours ;)
Man this is killing! I love how PB reminds me as a developing jazz player that I don't have to play all 16th notes all the time, and it's fine (and actually harder) to take melodic phrases and develop them as much as you can. Also, that guitar tone is just unreal. Band also killing it as usual!
Emmet & crew plus all the wonderful guests, always dumb Nice !!! I cancel all plans & and answer no calls every Mon 7:30 yo !!! 1 Love = Bop Jazz ya dig !!!
Amazing.👏I know I always say this but there was something extra extraordinary in your sound tonight, Emmet and perhaps it was the synchronistic musical collaboration but it was time stopping and acceleration all at once it seemed to me and the beauty of the sound at times was just awesome, the two of you, wow ❤🎶
Perhaps I should say I like PB and PG better than other guitarists. I'd be glad to add Kurt Rosenwinkel . I just heard him on Emmet Cohen's broadcast on Mondays. However, in a different category is the amazing John McLaughlin I am of course thinking of living guitarists.
JOYOUS AND HARD-SWINGING! Marvelous solos all around. This is JAZZ as it should be.
Ah man the trio and my favorite guitar player. Could not click on this quickly enough
Peters Tone and phrasing is just amazing
Peter B. A fucking legend.

It’s a real shame they didn’t let Peter know it was striped shirt day.

He makes that guitar sing.
20:55 lick
What a beautiful session...
Cuando una canción tiene tanto sentimiento, no se necesita estar enamorada para sentirlo.
The bassist really groove ! 1:17
And he's super musical on All too soon 1:06:08
So good!! Peter's playing always floors me
Thank you all for playing and posting! such a pleasure to listen and watch :-)
Note Emmet's homage to Thelonius, applying the elbow chord on the Monk tune, We see", which I had too see the playlist for the title. Nice
martin saltzman Peter Bernstein and Pasquale Grasso are the best guitarists around. Glad Emmet had both on at different dates.
Watched both guitarists today … Pasquale Grasso from a streaming with Rossano Sportiello; really fine music.
Lots of great guitarist around.. Bireli Lagrène, Sylvain Luc
Kurt Rosenwinkel
Don’t use the word best when comparing individual masters. It makes it sound like you have a rating system and aren’t appreciating the differences.
UA-cam wouldn't let me add a second 'like'... :(
Another great gig
Que cinciertazo, maestros saludos de Colombia
Where did my 2 hours go?
WOW
Never Heard Delilah before, really cool

"We See" was so brilliant, you guys should consider doing a Monk show!
Now ya talkin' !! My favorite drummer is Ben Riley, with Monk bro !!!

You Don't Know What Love is played in the style of Ahmad Jamal (I think even the same bass line is used as an opening)

A telepathic quartet
