- In the heart of the pristine and beautiful nature of the mountains, a poor nomadic family lives with difficulty and courage. When the philanthropic engineer returns from his trip, he notices Nemat's misbehavior with Umm al-Binin. Enraged for supporting his daughter and the nomadic family, the engineer scolds Nemat severely and even slaps him in the face. Nemat and Zainab are forced to leave the house and go to the mountains. This encounter of the engineer was due to Nemat's misbehavior with Umm al-Binin and the nomadic family.
After some time, Nemat returns home and starts harassing the family. He claims that he built the house himself and the nomadic family should leave there. This issue causes a strong conflict between Nemat, the nomadic family and the benevolent engineer. The cameraman, Ali, who caused this tension by showing documents to the benevolent engineer, tries to reconcile Nemat with the family.
Ali manages to bring Nemat back home, but Nemat stipulates that he must marry Zainab. This condition again causes tension between the family and the benevolent engineer throws Nemat out of the house again. Ali, who has become interested in Umm al-Binin, tries to win her heart with kindness and love. He brings a wedding ring to Umm al-Binin and helps the benevolent engineer.
This new love makes Nemat sad and angry, and the conflict between Ali and Nemat increases. Ali and Umm al-Binin, who have become interested in each other, spend happy days together and the possibility of their marriage is very high. In the meantime, Nemat returns home and plans to take his daughters with him, but he faces resistance from the nomadic family.
Nemat goes to the home of a nomadic family with the captain and the soldier to get his daughters back, but his daughters refuse to go with him, crying and begging. This encounter causes a strong conflict between Nemat and the nomadic family and shows that the love and solidarity of the nomadic family is stronger than any challenge and problem.

I agree with your wise post. The Engineer is right... let a court make a judgement and all will abide by it... in the meantime the children will stay where they are happy. The Captain tried to warn the arrogant Nemat if it goes to court it may not go his way it would be better to work it out privately. Nemat will not agree with that as he sees everyone is to blame but himself... he sees himself as faultless. A court will weigh up the love and security offered on both sides and Nemat with his other woman he is living with (who is married with husband in jail) versus the Grandmother who is to be married to the Engineer (who thinks of the children as his grandchildren) and a Step Mother who from birth know her as their mother, and the security of a house full of loving family members.... it may not go well for Nemat. Nemat is using his children to force his mother away from the Engineer as he know if he can force his mother to come with him then the children will go willingly. Nemat is a very nasty son... this is the one chance the mother has of a better life... she has lived in caves, tents in mud... now she has the chance to a bit of warm, comfort and security. Nemat wants to take her to a rented house he rented for his other woman (who his mother mistrusts and dislikes) a rented house that they will probably not be long in as Nemat never stays at a job long and whilst he says he has a job seems rarely at it.

Did you not view the video when the Engineer told Nemat he had requested ALL videos taken in his absence... and he had seen them all... first time I saw Nemat panic as all the vicious things he said to his wife the Engineer heard.... the Engineer already knows what went on and what Nemat actually said to his wife and Nemat dragging off his children and forbidding them to go to AlBinin and telling AlBinin that only his other woman would care for them... he even told the other woman he was going to give her a room in the house (it wasn't even his house) AlBinin was justified in her jealousy and even the other woman admitted he was giving her attention she felt uncomfortable with. He told his mother he never loved AlBinin and only married her to be a mother for his children... this she has been. The worst part about Nemat's character after he bullied and struck his wife he then told her it was normal for a man to treat his wife like that. Nasty man!
If I remember correctly Nemat never showed that much attention to either of his daughters and his mother and wife did all the attention and taking care of the girls. If it wasn't him having the other women now he wouldn't even want them now. He doesn't know how to take care of kids that young by himself. He found that out when he took them to the mountains.

Nemat says he intends to marry the woman)... so Nemat offers a confused life for his children and the courts may see that the children are better off with their family and with the main custody to the grandmother.

He loves his daughters certainly but it is those who have done everything for them who are now opposing him... when AlBinin found the grandmother and wanted to help and came into their lives Nemat told his mother he didn't love her but wanted a mother for his children and as they loved her and she them, so he actually used AlBinin... his mother and AlBinin unite in their love of his children. The mother knows his violent temper, that he only rarely works and never stays too long at any job, the little one came back to the family subdued and she told the grandmother the other woman hit her. Nemat admitted she cried for days for her grandmother and AlBinin. In the past Nemat has always said the children drive him mad when they cry. Really it all boils down to legal versus moral rights and who had give the children the best future. The old Engineer is right... let a court decide, they do not take emotions into account only who offer the children the best future.

AlBinin only married him she said for the children. You are wrong, Nemat brought that woman from the river, even though both his wife and mother objected, set up her next next to theirs and when the Engineer returned home asked who they were Nemat told him the woman needed help and he wanted to help her... the Engineer went on pilgrimage and soon Nemat and the woman were enjoying each other's company and both his mother and AlBinin were concerned at how much attention he was giving this woman.. when his wife called him out his arrogance and violent temper took over.. as a true bully he turned it on his wife calling it all her fault as she was a spoilt child and a worthless no good person. The fact that his own mother called him out also seemed to go unnoticed. This man has struck his wife in his rage several times... he is a classic controlling bully. Well he got what he wanted.. a pocket full of money and the other woman he is now living with and building a house for! Now what part of that did you not see that the wife did indeed have cause for jealousy? His very actions have shown even his most devoted lovers and fans what his motives were.. he offer this woman a room in the Engineer's house... nice set up it was to be.... wife.... other woman next door! The house was never Nemat's house.(in his arrogant mind he saw it would be as the Engineer was old and Nemat controlled his daughter..he did not expect the mouse of a girl he married to stand up and roar!).. it was always the Engineer's house - he has agreed to marry the old mother and that way his daughter and the entire family she married into was being cared for. Now Nemat is using his kids to force himself back into the family... offering to come back if he can bring his other woman.

AlBinin married him for his children and has dragged her father through hell because of it... his family regarded AlBinin marrying a no good unemployed nomad and as much of the Engineer's wealth was joint family wealth in land housing and business... and the family froze all his properties if the marriage was to go ahead between Nemat and AlBinin. She is young and wore her heart on her sleeve and of course got her way and her father practically lost everything. He managed to claw back some of his land and investments and started to build a house for the family to ensure he daughter stopped living in a cave and in the snow and mud in a tent.... He then agreed to marry the grandmother as so cement their lives together even more. The unemployed Nemat was to assist the contractors in building the house and in return his entire family was fed, clothed and all their needs taken care of by the Engineer... bare in mind cash has been tight but this was a way to get things moving Nemat agree to the deal...but as you know he came back later to force money out of the Engineer which he then said he would use on building his woman a house. He was never regarded as a slave but as a son in law working for his daughters and his entire family to build a house to live in. He threw it all away when he saw the woman at the river and lusted after her, brought her home and the Engineer agreed they would help her, then when his mother and his wife both noticed the attention he was giving her and his wife called him out for it he went into his usual rage and the rest is history. He proved over and over, both in his abuse and his actions, his wife had every right to be jealous.

The Grandmother with the backing of UmBinin does not want to give him the children and the eldest child says the other woman hits her. Above all their hardship the Grandmother and later AlBinin saw the little ones came first and adored them.... the old Engineer has become to think of them as his granddaughters. Nemat in a rage while living with the family dragged them off and returned after 3 days saying they drove his crazy crying all the time for their grandmother and AlBinin .. the children don't trust him and the Grandmother knows her son's violent temper.... it is not a simple case of keeping the children from him as the Legal agent said they are fearful of him and the family do not want to let them go because of this. Nemat is using them to force his way back into the family and has already told his mother he'd come back if he was allowed to bring his other woman with him! He's nasty! He thins everyone is wrong and it is everyone fault and never his - he thinks himself a God and without fault!

In the past I had left a post to say both ladies always wear the same colours and to those who are less observant they appear to be wearing the same clothes... I watched them when the Engineer took them shopping for new clothes, and I was amused that they selected almost the same colours as what they were wearing... with all the posts saying they wear the same clothes all the time the poor souls are now washing their clothes in front of the camera, something they would not normally have done as they would have washed them in private... they are trying to show you they do change their clothes, but as you can see, they nearly always wear the same colours.
