Nice old VWs. What I remember most about the German Village in Huntington Beach was a shop that sold militaria. The owner had one of Herman Goring's uniforms for sale 🤣
When I commented that Goring was a big guy so the uniform should be much bigger that it was, he got defensive and said, "I can't tell you about that!"🤣

I do not mind accessories to a certain point, but some people are overdoing that a bit. I love the very early Beetles and buses and the early Karmann Ghias.
I prefer cars with a little patina and not the overly glossy ones. Like a proud owner of a 48 split window that we restored for him told me: Those cars should not shine. They did not shine back in the day. Thanks for showing the event.
I think only in America people can get so extremely fanatic about those cars. When I grew up nearly fifty percent of all cars in the streets of Switzerland were bugs. And in our family we had buses and a Type 3 Variant as well.
