Since there since to be a common concern among all 5 parts of the video, I figured I'd give my reasons for choosing the artists I did: ◽ For starters, I had subscribers chose what songs they wanted a reaction for by my guests. I asked for K-Hip-Hop song recommendations. I am not familiar with what would be considered K-Hip-Hop or not which is why I asked for recommendations. These songs seemed to be requested a lot so I went with it. Please keep in mind, I am NOT saying the artists are K-Hip-Hop artists since I would not be able to make the distinction. ◽ Second reason was because I assumed K-Hip-Hop was a sub-genre of Hip-Hop (just like how American Hip-Hop is). By going with this definition, I assumed these songs would be classified as "K-Hip-Hop" since it fits the parent genre of Hip-Hop. From what I can tell, there is conflict in this definition among viewers as well. Some are saying it is a genre and other say it is an industry/artist. I am still not to sure which it is, but that brings me to the next point. ◽ Third reason was because I asked 2 friends in Korea, and they both seemed to agree that all the songs I chose can be considered K-Hip-Hop. One of them does not like idol music or K-Pop and exclusively listen to K-Hip-Hop. He still agreed that these songs would be considered K-Hip-Hop. ◽ In the end, whether or not these songs are K-Hip-Hop is hard for me to tell. However, I am fine with you having a CIVIL discussion about this topic! I will make a community post in which you can discuss this if you want!
Very well said. Some people may be sensitive about the distinction. But overall its ok to explore and listen to whatever it is to your liking as musician sometimes blurred boundaries makes amzing surprises. Thata how i discovered undergroud khiphop :)
Yestoday is a track about leaving behind your mistakes or regrets and moving onto to who you are presently. Hence, the song is not called “Yesterday” but is called "YesTODAY. Each member sings about a different situation, but it’s Taeyong (the 1st guy rapping) and Mark (the 2nd guy rapping) who really got deep with their lyrics and use real life examples in their parts. Taeyong wrote most of the lyrics. He struggled a lot during his debut era (2016) due to false accusations made by haters. He was misunderstood a lot. At that time there were pressures from NCT fans for Taeyong to leave the group and he was afraid that the rumors could affect the group that just debuted. His company only cleared up the issue earlier this year. My fave line in the lyrics is Taeyong's part, it goes: "I'm sorry for yesterday, but today's me doesn't know you."
Also, as you can tell by the comments, nct is not khh actually! You guys should react to come jay park . I personally like jessi (I really love her songs nunu nana and who dat b)
Yestoday is the song that i would recommend everyone to look up the lyrics. It was so emotional and deep actually, especially because Taeyong wrote it originally in his trainee era. And then SM released it with additional verse for Mark and by Mark, also for Lucas. It’s a very personal lyrics to them respectively. It’s about their relationship WITH THEMSELVES in the past. Taeyong’s “grow up” is basically what he told himself and what haters used to tell him in the past, because of the unconfirmed rumors about his past wrongdoing as A KID. that turns out to be half-truth. it was his journey through all the burdens in the past, it take years to finish and i read somewhere SM should make some adjustment cuz the original lyrics was too dark. and for Mark, he wrote “156 bus”, it is a real bus in Canada, where he’s from. He told us that this path that their choose required them to leave everything they ever had in the past (school, the more more definite future, etc), and his life is like a wishing coin, there’s no guarantee they will debut or their debut will be successful. But he said “rap is my new 156, for the future traded yesterday”. And at the end he said “i hope you like it where im now”, HE’S TALKING TO HIS PAST SELF”. I can never be not emo every time I listen to this song cuz it represents not only their struggles but also ours. Misfit, to me is like Simon Says 2.0 based on the meaning behind it haha. It’s like a diss song for haters who keeps calling their music “NCT Noise” because they really have distinctive style in music (which turns out, seems like it became the blueprint for most of 4th gen Kpop sound), it’s oddly pleasant to me, but yea haters gonna hate. And I really2 hope you guys will react to 90s Love because it was straight up 90s Hip Hop. Also Mad Dog and Mad City (but it doesn’t have MV), both are rap song. And that orange hair guy is my boi MARK LEE, he’s Canadian and to me he has one of the best and most unique flow in the industry! Every body knows this young boy since rookie era. You can expect to see Mark in every NCT’s rap song.
This is a legit comment on NCT songs, not those that are trying to downgrade their music. I mean Korean RAPPERS themselves doing Hip Hop react to NCT's "hiphop" songs, so I dunno what the haters are talking about tbh 🤷♀️
I have to say, I really appreciate that these guys actually watched the mvs. A lot of the time people reacting will talk about something that happened while the video keeps playing and then miss half of the mv. It's nice to see that they were paying attention.
I'm so glad you reacted to NCT omg! They are my favorite group of all time. I will say, they aren't really K-Hip Hop. They are definitely K-Pop. K-Hip Hop is like Zico and H1GHR Music, and there's a pretty big difference. That being said, I'd love for you to watch more NCT for sure, since their music is so versatile because of the number of subunits and members (NCT 127, NCT Dream, WayV, and NCT U). Ah, I've noticed a lot of comments also saying NCT isn't khh, and I saw your comment about songs fitting the genre, not the artists. Though I don't disagree, for the sake of simplicity (and keeping peace between the kpop and khh communities) we separate them based on their artist status. KHH is characterized largely by the fact that they write most of their own music and aren't under huge companies. It's more independent. NCT, Stray Kids, BTS, and more groups are K-Pop because they're under large labels that usually manage their music for them. Most idols don't self-produce and write, and even those that do are still K-Pop since they're under large management companies. I know it seems a bit trivial, but the difference matters to a lot of people.
Thank you for the info! I actually asked some of my friends in Korea regarding how to go about it, and they said they usually consider KHH as being either a genre or to categorize an artist which is why I decided on continuing with some of the groups that were recommended, but I understand what everyone commenting means!
@@ItsDoctorAnime your friend is right, k hiphop can be used to describe any korean hip hop song :) I'd say the only problem would be that NCT are "idols" (and make idol music), so they're not really in the k hiphop /scene/, but a lot of the music they make can still be put into that category.
@@ItsDoctorAnime Hope you got better understanding now, but Korean rappers themselves consider some NCT songs as HipHop. You can even watch them reacting to it. That's a better validation I think compared to others. Bigbang is another example. They are Kpop idols like NCT who do Korean HipHop music soooo, :)
lol i’m just gonna go ahead and do a full intro to nct cuz like why not so nct stands for Neo Culture Technology, its concept is to have an unlimited number of members. they debuted in 2016 with 3 sub units, NCT U, NCT 127, and NCT DREAM, later in 2019, another subunit, WAYV was formed. the U in NCT U stands for United, and it’s a rotational subunit, meaning that members will change in the group, depending on the concept of the comeback and whether they are suitable for it. NCT 127, 127 being the longtitude of seoul, is a fixed unit. NCT DREAM was first made to be a rotational unit, and its concept was for the unit to be one for the younger members to be in, and once they turned 20, they would exit the unit and join other units. NCT DREAM first started off as a group of 7 in 2016, their oldest member ‘graduating’ from the group in 2018. however, due to popular demand from fans (fans wanted NCT DREAM to stay as it was), SM ENT. (nct’s company) made a statement in 2020 for NCT DREAM to become a fixed unit with the original 7 members. WAYV is the chinese subunit of NCT, and they promote mainly in china, causing one of the members from NCT 127 who is also in WAYV to stop promoting with NCT 127 for further promotions with WAYV. this year, NCT came back as a 23 member group to promote as NCT 2020 and their albums ‘resonance pt.1’ and ‘resonance pt.2’ , similarly to when they had a whole group comeback in 2018 with the then 18 members to promote the album ‘empathy’. current members: taeil, johnny, taeyong, yuta, doyoung, kun, ten, jaehyun, winwin, jungwoo, mark, hendery, lucas, xiaojun, renjun, jeno, haechan, jaemin, yangyang, shotaro, sungchan, chenle and jisung.
When I was watching you reacting..I felt like Do they not like it???Mark's part is coming,Will they like it?? But then after you listen to every song, you react,I like that vibe... And that Orange Hair guy is Mark Lee...One of the best rappers in K-Pop..
I love NCT, but I don't consider them K-hip hop. They have rappers, but are essentially kpop. Please, have them react to Tiger JK, Yoon Mirae, Jay Park, The Quiett, Dok2, Ugly Duck, Beenzino, Simon Dominic or some peformances of the "Show me the Money" tv show.
So I actually asked my subscribers to recommend songs that would be considered K-Hip-Hop. I assumed at the time K-Hip-Hop would be describing the song's genre rather than the group.
I felt the same lol. Already had a whole conversation with him about it in the community post and I recommended some krnb and khh artists and even some kpop artists who have officially stepped out of the genre to make their own music that _is_ considered khiphop ( ZICO, RAVI, MINO etc.)
I was definitely expecting some like Simon D, Flowsik, Loco, DPR, Na Fla or something and then realized it was NCT and I was like ???? they’re definitely a K-POP group.
Please react to NCT 127 - MAD CITY ( Sbs radio ) WHIPLASH - KCON NY 2018 BABY DONT LIKE IT ( Origin in saitama ) Himalayas - Mark and taeyong in KNOWING BROTHERS .It was unreleased rap song . Mark and taeyong composed it ,it was lit tho . SUPERM MARK - TALK ABOUT

i really appreciate how you guys talk about the whole music video, you really got deep into it and its not something i see with a lot of youtubers so thank you for making these awesome videos and im gonna watch a few more now :))
If you really wanna listen to their rap song i think you really should listen to "Mad City" That song really are best of best nct rap song, at least for me
Don't let the "oh thats not real khip hop" haters deter you from idol groups. If we're being honest, they're all inspired by Western rappers anyway, even the so called real rappers. Some idol groups contain some great rappers. And the only difference the idol groups offer more avenues of talent (dancing, singing, rapping) than the "real khip hoppers".
they were underestimated when they just debuted, a lot of people say they won’t make it because of their different type of music and concepts. and so they just drop misfit and proved everyone wrong.
@@ItsDoctorAnime oh wow!! When will it be out? I like how these guys were really nice & open minded & appreciated not only the rap but the style, the things that artists in the US don't have, the MV, etc. So yeah thanks for that!
3racha can be considered khiphop, but nct or stray kids tracks are kpop. But yeah stray kids have an amazing rap line (I'm not talking about only 3racha but also about other members as All of them can actually rap) and many of their songs are rap heavy Khiphop is different from kpop and usually idol rappers aren't as good as actual rappers, obviously there are exceptions (such as Changbin and Han from stray kids or Suga and RM from BTS and others)
So I actually had subscribers recommend K-Hip-Hop songs since I am not as familiar. I personally thought of it as a song's genre rather than the artists, but I understand what you mean
Please react to MCND'S Top Gang, Ice age, nanana, galaxy, and Ninja. They are quite similar to stray kids but just quite, 2 are both really different and both are really good.
Y'all should show your eyes while you react. It let's us see your expressions better. And commenting as you watch helps too. This was more of a review than a reaction. Y'all have a good vibe, I hope your channel goes far.
NCT have rappers and some nice raps but are KPOP(which isn't just a genre, it's a "product" that contains music, visuals and choreographies) and idols. 3racha are idols too, they are members of Stray Kids and their producing team and a pre-debut unit and effectively 3racha's songs are hip hop while Stray Kids' songs are considered KPOP but are usually rap-centered and take a lot from edm in the beats. 2 members of 3racha and Stray Kids which are Changbin and Han are K-Hip hop level and I suggest you their solo songs, "Streetlight" & "Cypher" by Changbin and "I Got it" & "Close" by Han. Other idols who are K-Hip hop level are: - Suga from BTS who released his mixtapes under the name Agust D. He's my favourite, his two mixtapes "Agust D" and "D-2" are lit, I recommend them, the videos from them are "Agust D", "Give it to me", "Tony Montana"(live ft. Jimin) and "Daechwita". But also his solo songs in BTS "Interlude: Shadow" and "First Love". - RM from BTS, he's GREAT with word plays. His solo mixtapes are "RM" and "Mono". "RM" is more hip hop, the two videos from this are "Joke" and "Do you". However "Mono" is a more introspective one but it's worth listening to even if it's not your genre. His BTS solo songs I recommend are "Intro: Persona" and "Reflection". - Zico from Block B, he's considered the best kpop rapper by the majority of people (by me too, even if he's not my favourite) and though he was/is an idol he is now fully part of the K-Hip hop scene too and it's an incredible thing since the K-Hip hop scene basically doesn't consider idol rappers as proper rappers. I suggest you his mixtapes, EPs and albums and the video Killing Verse in which he raps some of his best and most iconic verses. - Mino from Winner. His albums are "XX" and "Take", he came second place in a Korean hip hop show called Show me the Money and he's well considered by K-Hip hop artists. I recommend you his Killing Verse episode too and the recent single "Run Away". - Bobby from iKon who won Show me the Money 3 and had a duo with Mino called MOBB. - Jooheon from Monsta X. He's really good and has a great delivery, I recommend you his last mixtape "Psyche" and his previous one. Videos: "Intro: Ambition" and "Psyche". Now some K-Hip hop artists. I admit that I can't introduce them very well since I'm pretty new to the K-Hip hop scene but for sure it's worth listening to: - Justhis (my favourite), he can do everything. - Khundi Panda. Check his performance on Show me the Money 9 "The Roots" ft. Justhis. - BeWhy - Paloalto. He did an album with Justhis too but he's a veteran in the scene - Giriboy - Lil Boi Sorry for the long comment!! By the way I enjoyed your two videos, I'm gonna follow for sure.
labeling idol groups as khiphop is an understatement for korea’s hiphop scene. don’t get me wrong i love nct and other kpop groups but they just aren’t on the level of korean hiphop artist. i recommend watching h1ghr music they’ve been active recently and did a collaboration album for all the artists under the label. i also recommended checking out killing verse. it’s basically a compilation of an artist’s best songs and verses and they rap it live. i personally recommend Justhis, Jay Park and Changmo’s killing verses. please check it out. i’d love to see your reactions
React to H1ghr music which is a Korean Hip hop label. The artists in there have released two albums together "The Red Tape and "The Blue Tape. The artist who were on the albums are, Jay Park (also the ceo of the label), Sik-k, Ph-1, Woodie Gochild, Haon, Big Naughty, Trade-L and a few more. From The Red Tape I would recomend you to listen to all of them but if I had to choose I would recomend The Purge and How We Rock. But if you want to you can also react to the hole album, The red tape. The Purge MV ua-cam.com/video/tE4PviEbSgA/v-deo.html How We Rock MV ua-cam.com/video/dQIBK81AEJg/v-deo.html Cypher MV ua-cam.com/video/HkWfn-FD0GA/v-deo.html ps. the Cypher song is also fire.
SHINee is the Best KPop group ever. Better music, better voices, best KPop dancer (Taemin). I Recommend a song from this year called ''Don't Call Me'' (2021). ''Atlantis'' (2021)...
I dont really put NCT in the K-Hiphop category.. There are SO many grear HIPHOP artists in Korea that you really should check out!! I can put Something here if you are interested, all tho I'm sure you get so many requests already.
@@lelouchbritania5377 right Nd nct can actually deliver if tjey take that route. Their tracks with rap is just "idol music" friendly but doesnt mean they cant if they have to. I enjoy their bsides thats a bit rap heavy.
This is not k hip hop, that's kpop...but ok If you wanna hear some real khh, you can check out Nafla, bewhy, Dok2, Jay Park, zico, punchnello, simon dominic + higher music
You're pretty much always gonna get K pop groups with heavy rap lines or a more 'Hip Hop" sound suggested to you when you ask for K Hip Hop recs because it's less popular than K Pop and tbh the fans consider that K hip Hop just because there's rapping involved in the songs and it's not. If you want a dope ACTUAL K Hip Hop artist, try Flowsik. He's Korean American and from Queens NY and is mad fire. There's also the group Epik High who are a SK Hip Hop group, and there's Jay Park who is K Hip Hop and K RnB

If you really wanna listen to their rap song i think you really should listen to "Mad City"
That song really are best of best nct rap song, at least for me
I love how accurate you guys was when you explained Yestoday :”))
Don't let the "oh thats not real khip hop" haters deter you from idol groups. If we're being honest, they're all inspired by Western rappers anyway, even the so called real rappers. Some idol groups contain some great rappers. And the only difference the idol groups offer more avenues of talent (dancing, singing, rapping) than the "real khip hoppers".
woah i think you guys should react to their bside track such Mad Dog, Mad City, Chain (it's their japanese track), Sit Down!, Whiplash, Summer 127,
they were underestimated when they just debuted, a lot of people say they won’t make it because of their different type of music and concepts. and so they just drop misfit and proved everyone wrong.
I hope you read the lyrics for Yestoday It's not only about living life now and it's not about relationships
NCT never disappoint us
People in comments are mad bcs its not their fav that got praised like chills
They're just thug warriors or whatsoever, they can't think properly that they just always think negatively 😂
Oh!please reaction "DROP" by Mark&seulgi
mark is the mamber of the nct
Mark is the orange hair
I'll add it to my list!
they are 3 sub unit group of nct, that is nct u which is you just watch and two more are nct 127 and nct dream,
you should react to mad city, theres a live performance thats really good :)
YESTODAY is a masterpice imo
Hmmmmm they should react to "the purge" it's a bunch if krappers
They actually did! That will be in part 5!
@@ItsDoctorAnime :o YESSSSSSS
@@ItsDoctorAnime oh wow!! When will it be out? I like how these guys were really nice & open minded & appreciated not only the rap but the style, the things that artists in the US don't have, the MV, etc. So yeah thanks for that!
I am releasing it on Friday!
yea this was fire!
you guys need react to NCT Mad City live performance in Japan and NCT Whiplash special stage, it's amazing and i'm sure you will like
Mad City is very nice too
NCT 2020 world domination
Is that true YES! OKEY DOKEY YOWWW
3racha can be considered khiphop, but nct or stray kids tracks are kpop.
But yeah stray kids have an amazing rap line (I'm not talking about only 3racha but also about other members as All of them can actually rap) and many of their songs are rap heavy
Khiphop is different from kpop and usually idol rappers aren't as good as actual rappers, obviously there are exceptions (such as Changbin and Han from stray kids or Suga and RM from BTS and others)
So I actually had subscribers recommend K-Hip-Hop songs since I am not as familiar. I personally thought of it as a song's genre rather than the artists, but I understand what you mean
during mv it is very strange not to see the expressions, but at least they comment later.
I wish y'all turned on the cc to get the subtitles to understand the lyrics
We turned on the subtitles for the videos that had them
Here is a few recommendation, Monsta x- Shoot Out, Stuck, Dramarama
Mark Lee
Put on captions (cc) if there are English ones that aren't automated. Captions for the translated lyrics help a lot!
I usually do turn them on if a video has any
And for kpop hiphop pleass react to NCT 127 - Mad City. That's so good hip hop song.
Nct make a wish
You need react Taeyong rap compilations on NCT songs,NCT U songs,NCT127 songs and on SuperM songs
Please react to MCND'S Top Gang, Ice age, nanana, galaxy, and Ninja. They are quite similar to stray kids but just quite, 2 are both really different and both are really good.
NCT isn’t really k-hip hop but great reaction!!
nct reaction more more more
Y'all should show your eyes while you react. It let's us see your expressions better. And commenting as you watch helps too. This was more of a review than a reaction. Y'all have a good vibe, I hope your channel goes far.
You should react to leonidas by yangyang wayv
I would recommend you check out Gwangil Jo, he is a fantastic rapper!
Other idols who are K-Hip hop level are:
- Suga from BTS who released his mixtapes under the name Agust D.
I admit that I can't introduce them very well since I'm pretty new to the K-Hip hop scene but for sure it's worth listening to:
- Justhis (my favourite), he can do everything.
- Khundi Panda. Check his performance on Show me the Money 9 "The Roots" ft. Justhis.
- BeWhy
- Paloalto. He did an album with Justhis too but he's a veteran in the scene
- Giriboy
- Lil Boi
Sorry for the long comment!!
By the way I enjoyed your two videos, I'm gonna follow for sure.
Thank you for the info and songs! I've personally reacted to a few of the songs you've mentioned, but I definitely plan to check out more!
Nct kick it
labeling idol groups as khiphop is an understatement for korea’s hiphop scene. don’t get me wrong i love nct and other kpop groups but they just aren’t on the level of korean hiphop artist. i recommend watching h1ghr music they’ve been active recently and did a collaboration album for all the artists under the label. i also recommended checking out killing verse. it’s basically a compilation of an artist’s best songs and verses and they rap it live. i personally recommend Justhis, Jay Park and Changmo’s killing verses. please check it out. i’d love to see your reactions
Just for clarification, I am labeling the song genre as KHH rather than the group. Also, a reaction to H1GHR releases in a couple days!
Yah, because they're NCT. Don't compare them to a typical mainstream group or whatever 😅
you should watch mad city by nct
If you want to get away from idol rappers I really suggest BewhY and his songs Challan, Gottasadae, and Shalom
I'll add them to the list for next time!

The Reaction to SVT HH Unit releases tomorrow!
This is not k-hip-hop! This is just k-pop!!
SHINee is the Best KPop group ever. Better music, better voices, best KPop dancer (Taemin). I Recommend a song from this year called ''Don't Call Me'' (2021). ''Atlantis'' (2021)...
have you guys reacted to the purge by H1gher music? and cypher by the same label?
Releases tomorrow!
I dont really put NCT in the K-Hiphop category.. There are SO many grear HIPHOP artists in Korea that you really should check out!! I can put Something here if you are interested, all tho I'm sure you get so many requests already.
I was more so classifying the song as korean hip hop rather than the artist in this case. Also, go ahead and give some recommendations!
Yah, don't put them on some typical hiphop or something because they're NCT dear, they do all the concepts depending on their COMEBACKS concepts 😉
@@lelouchbritania5377 right Nd nct can actually deliver if tjey take that route. Their tracks with rap is just "idol music" friendly but doesnt mean they cant if they have to. I enjoy their bsides thats a bit rap heavy.
It's only about the song not the group or Artist c'mon 😑
@@ultymateslayong6758 some people are happy to simply put people and idols in boxes. :) let them

react to black nut show me the money rap compilation and show me the money wonjae vs. woochan diss battle
I'll add it to my list!
Its better if u react to kpop using earphone or headset :)
This is not k hip hop, that's kpop...but ok
If you wanna hear some real khh, you can check out Nafla, bewhy, Dok2, Jay Park, zico, punchnello, simon dominic + higher music
I believe subscribers recommended these based on the genre of KHH rather than the artists. Also, a reaction to H1GHR releases Friday
Girl, this song is hip hop. Pop music can be hip hop because pop is just short for popular music.
if you wanna see some real k hiphop you should react to zico
please react to dpr live !
React to H1gher gang music the purge if you want k hip hop
They did! It releases in part 5 :)
@@ItsDoctorAnime i guess i gotta wait til that comes out
It will be in a few days!

Reaction mino killing verse
Please react exo
It’s kpop it’s not hip hop 😑
영어잘하고싶다ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ그래서 머라고하는거임? 성찬이 잘한다고?
SNSD i got a boy plz reaction
You're pretty much always gonna get K pop groups with heavy rap lines or a more 'Hip Hop" sound suggested to you when you ask for K Hip Hop recs because it's less popular than K Pop and tbh the fans consider that K hip Hop just because there's rapping involved in the songs and it's not.
If you want a dope ACTUAL K Hip Hop artist, try Flowsik. He's Korean American and from Queens NY and is mad fire. There's also the group Epik High who are a SK Hip Hop group, and there's Jay Park who is K Hip Hop and K RnB
listen to
ambition music
h1ghr music

NCT is k-hiphop?? Nahh
they are kpop.
K-hiphop is totally different genre there.
Just they rap doesn't mean it's k-hiphop.
NCT is mi favorite boy group but they'r not k hiphop wth . _.
The songs not really the group or artist 😑
Since when is NCT K-hiphop?? ㅋㅋ
I chose it based on the song genre rather than the artist
@@ItsDoctorAnime agree with you. I'm a NCT fans.. but no problem, i love when you reacted to NCT, thank you man.
NCT aren't korean HipHop artist X)....Kpop artist i love NCT but react to real k hiphop next time pls
