Bass is a must for me too. I had two 10" Alpine Type R subs in my 23 Si. I had Alpine Type R door speakers/tweeters. My doors and trunk door, upper trunk panel were sound dampened with Ballistic. It helped a lot with sound quality and less road noise.
Awesome dude, precisely what i plan to do, i have a 12 kicker comp r single in my 22, i am gonna put that same set up in this car, as well as im glad to hear feedback from someone who did sound deadening, did you just line the inner doors behind the panel and the bottom of the rear deck with it?
@TheOGBurrza just the door panels and only on certain sections and the trunk liner and the plastic piece where the 8" oem subs and speakers play from. I wanted to keep the weight down from the sound deadening materials.
I can’t believe how much more options we have up here in Canada I understand it’s generally colder up here but my 24 so has the heated steering wheel and heated front and rear seats I feel like they should be the same everywhere
I got a 2025 integra a spec manual last week I must say it’s a nice car but I would honestly trade it for the si in a couple months because I prefer the seats and the gauge cluster on the si more then on the integra but other then that the design on the integra is much more beautiful
I do like the Integra a lot for what it is, I drove a couple A specs, i just prefer the Civic's body style and interior over the other. Acura should have the "prettier" car being its supposed to be the more Lux brand, i think they did a great job on it, just not my cup of tea :).
Rev matching from 2nd to first is a new feature for this year. The commenter that said they were having troubles with that probably doesn't have a 2025.
The tires definitely contribute to the noise at speed. I put some 205/65/15 Michelin Defender tires on some HCH wheels on my 24 sport, and there is definitely less noise, but it's far from quiet. 100 lbs of sound deadening and 5 hours of labor will make the car whisper quiet though. With the Si, you will NOT be able to put 15 inch wheels on it. I wouldn't go lower than 17 inch wheels unless you want to replace the front brakes with smaller rotors and calipers.
I will likely stay on an 18 inch wheel, will run a different tire, and add some sound deadening in various places. First thing, is the tires have got to go. They should have ran Michelin or Continentals as a factory tire, the type r gets a Michelin? Should have put them on this car as well.
@@angelo_617 Absolutely, i hope everything so far has got you geeked for yours! My Part 2 is coming out sunday night late or monday, it will be a pure spirited driving pov, gonna have some fun and shred some streets.
Thanks for the vid man, but what would you feel like the passing power is? I swear I see these 2020 random kia suvs/ base model sedans passing people on this road I drive like nothing. I hope the Si has some decent passing power too because its such a long 2 lane road and theres good passing spots but I need the power to pass safely
So, the little civic car animation only comes on if you have cruise and lane keep assist on, if you disable everything it goes away and the tach, speedo get bigger and closer together to fill the gap. I like the animated car, how it interacts and displays brake lights, signals, headlights etc is just neat!
I had a 23 WRX and it was a great car but the Tech is outdated feeling. The gas mileage and maintenance intervals are pricey. I have an 05 STI so I don’t need a performance daily driver. I figured I change things up and save a little money. I picked up my 2025 SI yesterday and so far it’s just as fun in the twisties, and comfortable at the same time. The SI is fun and quick enough for me.
I considered many cars before choosing the Honda Civic SI. I didn't like the Hyundai/Kia products for many reasons, and German cars were too expensive to maintain. I liked the WRX for its performance, but it has a clunky 1990's feeling gearbox and poor fuel economy. The SI was the best all-around choice for a manual sedan or hatchback. The gearbox is wonderful, the stock power is fun, tons of modability, tons of reliability, amazing fuel economy, very nice sleek styling.. list goes on.
The rev hang has improved greatly stock for stock vs the 22-24 model. Stay tuned for my next upload, part 2 to this, which is going to be a zero commentary, pure spirited driving POV. It's gonna be fun!
Its tough to do, it depends on your region/demographic, as well as it helps to have history with Honda or a specific dealership. I was able to get one under msrp solely due to my relationship with my honda dealer, and have bought many brand new cars over the years from them, I would expect you could get one at least for sticker price, after tax season next year.
Question, when you said “Honda will give me a new one (transmission) is that a part of the factory warranty or is that a warranty you purchased separately?
This was more of a smartass comment directed toward someone that thinks they are smarter than Honda engineer's, that claimed downshifting from 2nd to 1st would destroy the transmission, also pointing out the fact that Honda added rev match from 2nd to 1st, to prove a point, Why would a multi billion dollar leading car selling manufacturer add that feature, if going 2nd to 1st would grenade the trans? lol and with warranty if it ever were possible, i would get a new trans.
Nope there is no adaptive dampers, Honda did redo the chassis, added strength in various areas and well as re-tuned the suspension to match the even more rigid chassis. Which i will say is a noticeable change from my previously owned 2022.

This is a good question however i am not concerned with what i will do with it. The brass tax of the 1.5 especially the L15CA, is people have done shotty work on their cars, with quality parts or not, lesser than quality part install makes a big difference, amounts and types of abuse, as well as tunes. There is a ton of factors as to why these can be known as "weak" and there's lots of factors that prove these are solid engines. After all my research and experience, this engine on stock internals will scatter with enough abuse and too much boost. Just like any other engine from any manufacturer. The key is to know its limits, be conservative and have fun with it, IF you go to far, full bolt on, turbo upgrade, 27+ lbs of boost, with abuse? You are asking for trouble. Mods and tunes lessens reliability by a large margin, again for any engine not just the L series. If you want big power, do it right and do forged internals with machine shop / engine work from those who are professionals. If you want a little noise, and it to be a little more spunky? Do some safer mods, intake, exhaust, intercooler, piping and a tune. You can do a lot of those mods on stock tune and still pick up noticeable gains. Be sure to get with a trusted tuner, send data logs, get revisions, and you will be just fine. Hope this helps!

Pick mine up tomorrow. First civic I have ever owned. Hoping to enjoy it. I have owned a lot of cars and trucks. On the test drive I loved it.
Right on brother! Happy for you! You will love it. Thank you for stopping and checking on some of my content, Part 2 is going up very soon!

The older ones do have rev match just not from 2nd to 1st.
Correct, this is the first year for the 2nd to 1st, And i like it. Especially if i decide to autocross the car, it will be super beneficial.

Do you think I should remove all interior in a new car to add sound deadenning? So hesitate to do this, but i hate road noise

Looking at the 2025 si or a wrx. What made you choose the si? And were you considering the wrx at any point?

My man. Does it have remote start with the honda app?
No manual production car in the US to my knowledge due to safety issues has remote start. But i wish it could be incorporated eventually as an option!
