So true. I know that Robb was one of the more popular characters on the season at the time, was considered one of the "sexiest players" in the America's Tribal Council, and is a frequent name for a player that people want to see return. But I always found him to be a super mega creep with no redeeming qualities and very obviously suffering mental health. He was basically the original Shane from Panama, but without the power/influence over others and much less entertaining.
@@spencerclark4726 Well at least he WAS entertaining, unlike Ken, Penny, Erin and Jake. Shii Ann and Robb were probably the only interesting characters on that tribe.
Robb said he hates the way Shi-Ann eats cuz she ate the chicken neck, heart & whatever else she ate, so he wants her out & then goes on to say that it's nothing personal smh it's 100% personal

Shii Ann is wonderful! I adore her. I’ve messaged her on Instagram and she’s given me some wonderful career and life advice. Shii Ann calls herself the Shii Devil, but I think she’s a Shii Angel lol
I wish she had gone over to the other tribe when she had that one chance to. It was clear her own tribe didn’t like her and for no reason other than she was different. Especially Robb. He was an immature piece of shit.
I remember seeing that at 8 years old, and I was confused as to why everyone reacted the way they did. It didn’t seem weird to me that she was eating the chicken the way she was. I wouldn’t have eaten the chicken the way Shii Ann did, but that’s mostly because I’m a picky eater, but I wouldn’t have had a reaction like her tribe did if I saw someone else eating chicken the way she did
I love these breakdowns. Shii-Ann is an awesome character in the game because she is a true hero but with anti-heroic qualities. Getting to see how she handled her less friendly competitors with snark and grit rather than direct challenge is subtle fun. Your summaries make me want to seek out season collections for myself, so I can see why "Survivor," guarded as they are, cheerfully allow you to spread the word.
I absolutely adore her. She MADE this season, because everyone else was, quite frankly, irrelevant and boring. She was screwed over so badly with the fake merge and the late immunity challenge. And I thought she gave a fair speech at her final tribal; I believed her. But, you know, her tribe mates were idiots. She could’ve made this season post-merge so much better.
It's funny how Shi Ann's general profile with the fan base is a smart villain, but the analytics say she's a dumb hero! I think she's a good player who could play a good game in any era, and there aren't many early players who can in my opinion. Her beauty is often forgotten too.
Shii-Ann was the only member of Sook Jai who was able to win over members of the impenetrable Chuey Gahn. Had she made the case of "I have connections and could possibly flip people," to Ken and Jake, Penny or Erin would've been voted out in her place. We even see how every remaining member of Sook Jai failed to "bond" with Chuey Gahn. Shii-Ann making the merge would've enhanced Thailand and possibly cause a chaotic post-merge.
That's like saying Cochran "won over" the Upolus. No, Chuey Gahn was willing to use her, but even if there wasn't a fake merge, she would have suffered the same fate as Cochran (getting voted out as the last member of Sook Jai).
@@bigbuffguy9589 it was explicitly expressed by both Brian and Ted that they were open to working with Shii-Ann, especially hearing how Sook Jai treated her. At the merge, Chuey Gahn wasn't impenetrable they just gave off the impression, but Helen and Ted did express wanting Brian and Clay gone. Helen and Ted would have heavily considered having Shii-Ann as a viable number, then after, get rid of her. We'll never know.
In my opinion people were just such jerks to poor Shi Ann and never even gave her a chance in All Stars, on a positive I will always love Rupert, and Tai, more than any other survivors. But seriously they were downright horrible to her and should've been very ashamed. Rob has always pissed me off as well as Russell and Fairplay. Rob just had so much arrogance that I often wanted to punch him through my tv. Idk how Amber fell for him but she's a strong and beautiful person who hopefully has made Rob a better person.
She wasnt just pregnant, she had just given birth (like a day after she gave birth she got the phone call) unfortunate timing. They said she wouldve been a villain (strangely).
One of the better characters in a season filled with unlikability, its unfortunate that the stupid fake merge twist happened and screwed her over big time because she probably would've been a lot more remembered and even though she did get in All Stars, it would've been no question if she made it further rather than at the time, it was very much questioned why she was in it.
Is Robb the only person to vote for the same person at every tribal council he’s ever been to ? Cause I think he votes for shii Ann every time. ( I haven’t seen every season so I could be wrong 😳 )
I don’t know why but something brought me back to this episode and it makes me realize that at the fake merge if it was real, she would’ve been to the 6 with Chuay Ghan, but I really think that she and Helen would team up with Jake and possibly Ted at 7 and took out Brian. I don’t think she would win because the jury did not respect her but she would in this scenario make it to the end.
If I put both on screen, it means there is a bit of both. So for example here, Shii-Ann is making fun of Robb (who is definitely a villain at this point in the season), but she is doing it in a cruel way herself making herself look mean.
In my family we fight over the heart and the liver of the chicken! My dad used to pick apart the neck which doesn’t appeal to me at all! 😊 I actually go to the store to just to buy chicken livers... yummy!
This is being re-uploaded due to audio issues in the original video.
Do you think Shii-Ann was screwed by the fake merge or did she play herself?
yep. shii-ann was one of the most willing to play the game that season and she got punished for that exactly. maybe a prelude to modern survivor?
She played herself! She's not a very good Survivor player.
Oh ye she would’ve made it to at least F6 cause Sook Jai would’ve been Pagonged unless da other Sook Jai won immunity
I was like “I thought I already watched this” I thought I had a thats so Raven moment lol
I think the fake merge destroyed her game but I didn’t she would win anyways
Of course Robb also has a Chinese character tattooed on his arm despite being sickened by Shii-Ann's cultural eating habits

Shii Ann is one of those right-castaway-wrong-cast contestants. Both her seasons, she ended up on tribes with complete idiots
stupid people
My favorite thing about her is she was never really too bitter about it. Especially on all-stars. She was able to look past that.

Didn’t realize how racist the cast was towards shi Ann for eating the chicken
Not everyone, but there was clearly a few who were.
Chicken hearts and livers I consider a delicacy! And if you really are truly hungry you will eat what’s in front of you! 😊

Yeah, I wonder why the one Asian girl “didn’t fit in” the show does a weird job of washing over blatant racism
Shii Ann was probably the first Asian person I saw on reality TV

Just like I said in Christian’s video, he has made one for Aras, though it’s Patreon exclusive.
And nowadays, people pay a LOT of money to eat chicken hearts from a skewer at fancy Brazilian BBQ places.
Crazy how times change.
Whats wrong with the chicken?
Here (in Costa Rica) we eat liver, heart, neck, feets, everything is good. And it taste good.
