I think you should be required to do a tough driving test to be granted access to the multiplayer client, that should weed out all the shitty drivers. I remember I once had to pass a flying grading test on flight simulator 2004 to join the virtual RAF server, and everybody on the server was very good and friendly sim pilots. Not only flying testing, but also comms, where I had to do a teamspeak session with the admin to grade my ATC knowlege.
I like that idea, but then there people like me. I'm not great at driving (But not horrible). When my truck is broken and I need to go slow, I ride the shoulder with my hazards on. If i'm near other cars, I don't go to fast so I hog the right lane (Slow lane). I don't run lights, use roundabouts pretty well, and follow regular road rules like staying in lanes and NOT turning or stopping on a freeway. I'm just not great at hooking trailers and tight squeezes like the test would require. So I like your idea but I think it has some holes in it.

Не только русские хуйнёй маются.... Вчера я подрезал грузовик на повороте и задел его своим грузом, а он со своим дружбаном на прокачанных грузовиках, без груза погнались за мной и начали бодать спихивая с дороги.... В итоге один из них влетел мне в зад груза и я провалился под текстуры....

I did not say it's a simulator but it's more of a simulator than this unrealistic garbage - so if you call this a simulator then yes, I'd say the driving aspect of of GTA is a simulator.
There's no reason to experience something that you do every day, is boring and unrealistic - that's why I compared it to a dental hygiene simulator. There are many fun simulators out there - you just have to find one that's different and exciting - flight simulator? go for a fighter jet or helicopter one. driving simulator? racing. There were some really good war simulators also - operation flashpoint, armored assault I/II.
Most people don't drive a big rig every day. There's also more to the game like financial management. It's not just about holding onto a steering wheel.
I remember playing this. I had one bad moment that was half my fault but the other guy made it worse. I was taking a sharp turn off the highway and I had gotten my trailer's left front corner stuck on a guardrail. Easy fix, back up a few feet and keep moving. Well the guy coming up behind me (who was either drunk or blind) slammed into the back of my trailer (he was going over the speed limit) the force of the impact jackknifed my trailer around the guardrail and was then back on the highway facing the wrong way. Him on the other hand lost complete control of his truck, slammed the inside divider, and jackknifed his trailer to be blocking all lanes and his truck was screwed. Broken, couldn't event move.
I loved 2014 multiplayer. Trolling was a big part of the fun. Especially with the broken collision back then which made trucks fly Couldnt last 30 minutes when I tried it months ago.

I remember playing this. I had one bad moment that was half my fault but the other guy made it worse.
I was taking a sharp turn off the highway and I had gotten my trailer's left front corner stuck on a guardrail. Easy fix, back up a few feet and keep moving.
Well the guy coming up behind me (who was either drunk or blind) slammed into the back of my trailer (he was going over the speed limit) the force of the impact jackknifed my trailer around the guardrail and was then back on the highway facing the wrong way.
Him on the other hand lost complete control of his truck, slammed the inside divider, and jackknifed his trailer to be blocking all lanes and his truck was screwed. Broken, couldn't event move.
I'm pretty sure less than 5% of the players actually have a driver's licence.
