Wardrobe malfunction BC at 4:05! Looking mighty naughty! Love it!!!! When you play together for any length of time you don't need to guess what any of the others will do. You become one entity, just separate pieces. A couple of eye ques here and there. That's it. Complete communication.
I have been lucky enough to see them 5 times in concert, even joined the fan club and still have that stuff today. Love this band and always regretted that they never lived up to their full potential
The mixing got better after a few songs. Usually Charlotte's guitar volume is turned too low, but it sounds great here. He's So Strange sounds amazing. I love this version. Automatic is one of my faves. For the past while it's been done with keys instead to lead guitar. I like both versions. This one is great
I saw the original 5 members at the Mask, punk club in Hollywood (The basement of the Pussy Cat, theater "Porno theater"). I knew Belinda and Belinda knew me. We were the first Punk Rocker's in Los Angeles, November of 1976---.
Charlotte's vocal is so integral to the performance of Automatic that there is no point of doing it at all if she doesn't do her part. Every gogos concert I've ever seen where this song was performed, Automatic is ALWAYS the moment where I'm hit with "these chicks are REALLY good" and it is IMPERATIVE that Char do her vocal part and her mic is loud enough that you can hear it on Jane's side. First of all, that is what gives Automatic a sence if melodic familiarity and hook. Secondly, that is what establishes them as a superior band because as char is playing and singing, Belinda and Jane are harmonizing on the other part. It is INTEGRAL to the song. Plus chars smokey vocals are perfect for that part but I'd rather Kathy do it than no one.

I WILL NOT PLAY THAT SONG ONLY FOR TOI! Do you understand...Toi! Lol, The Go Gos love the french Word! C'est excellent! Je donne mon nom pour être leur drummer apprenti!
What an unprofessionnal performance from Belinda. Probably the worst I've heard of hers. The rest of them are forced to smile as though this is charming and funny, but I'm sure they all wanted to smack her. Her memoir makes it clear that she was unhapy during those years - it shows... and sounds.
Fabulous ladies. Just got finished Belindas Book.... she really didn't have to fret, she was so gorgeous
🤣🤣🤣🤣 OMG. I love Belinda Carlisle even more after watching this. I am not sure she knew where she was she was so hammered.
Rock ‘n Roll.
I go-go danced at this show!
Gina,. always perfect timing !
I saw them in England opening for Madness. It was in 1980 ♥️
In the documentary Jane said it was scary playing in front of those guys, and they were spitting on them.
@@larryrodriquez9782 all I remember were drunks pushing and shoving each other. It wasn’t the most enjoyable concert experience I ever had!
Very cool! What colour was Margots hair
AWESOME!
I saw them here at the Warfield in San Francisco!wooooooo!!!it was a long time ago.😮

First time I saw them Return To The Valley Of The Go Go's tour at the Warfield!

What do you attribute that to?
It is time to induct The Go-Go's into The Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame and Museum.Tony
So now they're in. What else can you write?
amazing guitar by Charlotte! saw this show in Santa Barbara....loved it..!
In your dreams
I agree. Her solos are simple, tasteful and at times even dramatic.
This was one of the best shows they've put on. What an amazing night!
This version of Tonight is killer. Love Char's guitar playing.
amazing footage-captures the girls in all their glory (and comedic best, too!)

Lust and Love FRECKEN AWESOME
Warfield theater, SF, 1999. I was there!
Stage looks to small, it looks more like the Fillmore. I saw them at the Warfield for the Return Of The Valley Of The GoGo's tour.

It was the Masque, not Mask.

Whoever mixed this should invest into a paper hat and a spatula. Seriously.
They're in love with Charlotte's guitar.
Gerber Bernstein
Usually Char’s guitar is too quiet in the mix.

Hmm
I love Jane
My wife and I got to meet Jane I guess close to 10 years ago in New York at a Big Apple show. It was pretty awesome
It's a shame about the audio mixing. Great performance by the girls, though!
@World Coming Down 5780
okay boomer
Bring the piano level down a bit. Turn up the vocals. Turn up the bass too.
Charlotte in automatic... frecken awesome!
Jane Wiedlin is so cute
She's a little goddess and who happens to be the GoGo's!
That concert is in 1999
AUTOMATIC DOPNE TEH WAY I WISH TEH RECORD DID! F-N GREAT!
why was Belinda wearing pajamas?
Who cares, she can wear whatever she wants, and still looks hot as hell....pjs sexy
I would love to hear them let loose like they played b4 they ever got signed. Lets see them get the PUNK out!
Belinda said they don't want to be a punk band anymore
25:31 beautiful this version of "Lust To Love" with Charlotte on piano and Kathy on acoustic guitar. pity that it is pan

Belinda acting punk. Like it.
Holy shit I was at this show!! I think I need to change my pants now...
I think I was at this show, too-Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, ZDTV, right?
That sounds right, because I thought it was the Fillmore.
@letrou1 wasnt this when they just got back together and this is from the Maritime Hall right by the Bay Bridge? I was here
kinksboss1 I saw some great gigs there I had my ticket for Iron Maiden there but they cancelled!
yes, this was at the Maritime Hall 7/7/99. thought it was the warfield.
So Strange was a cool song! The story sounds kind of dark though.
I can't get it to play past 4:35!!
Being drunk is fun
Is belinda drunk . Yeah . Or high?
Rock n roll
cool stuff ... specially the gal on keyboards... the glue and the brains of the band.. probably a real pain but very hot too ..LOL
simbad909 the gal on keyboards is Charlotte Caffey
Actually no Jane, no GoGo's!
Probably the best musician of the group
