I say commit to the paint. Something about the stark contrast feels slightly dated. Bringing the paint down will make the room appear larger as long as you don't paint the ceiling. The dark color will make the room look deeper from the doorway. However it goes your gome is beautiful. I know color can be scary💜
I think you should paint the entire wall and leave the ceiling and trim white. We painted our dining room cracked pepper by Sherwin Williams and left the ceiling and the trim white and I LOVE it!!! Brings so much moodiness to the room.
I love you two working together. You are both adorable. Love the color and for now I would leave it as is and live with it and see how you feel later. It’s gorgeous
Follow your original inspiration, color drench. My home is all bright cream, white, beige. I love it! I decided to color drench my powder room because I was nervous. I went all in with black and its my favorite room in the entire house. I then added a color drenched accent wall (black) in my dining room and wallpapered the rest. Now I have two favorite rooms in the house. Im still a neutral girly but the moodiness pops are the best!! And it's paint, you could just repaint one day if you want a change. My powder room has been black for two years now, no change in sight for me lol. Your home is beautiful!!
Such a gorgeous color!!!! I say go for it and paint the entire room, including the trim but leave the ceiling white. You have a lot of natural sunlight coming in which wont make the room appear smaller. Cant wait to see the transformation!!!
I did that in my dining room twice! It’s a great room to do it in. Dining rooms should be dramatic! The first time it was a deep burgundy color and the second time it was a dark dark grey. Now it’s white 🤣
The dining room is beautiful. I don’t do trends. That color drenching is ok but I feel it will only be here for a little while, just like everything else.
I’m so proud of you👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽. How will you put the china back in the cabinets the way you had it? For my built-ins I take pictures to put everything back😂. I love the colors, but in the dining room I think I like the white on the bottom, it keeps it light and airy. Rob is the hardest working man I know. You have a keeper ❤
Definitely color drench the entire room, ceiling and all I did the powder room, the library and the movie lounge I absolutely love those rooms Commit or else it looks a little dated
I think you should paint the entire walls. Leaving that way it looks unfinished to the eyes. If you are doing an accent wall it is painted from top to bottom, then the beauty stands out. But it’s a beautiful color.

That sounds like it looks really nice
I bet that’s so pretty! Love a moody room!
Color drench. You keep coming back to it for a reason. Big swing, big reward. It’s so chic!
The dark walls look great. It looks great leaving the rest white. Love it❤
Cara I love all of your changes. And that color is popping 😻
Thank you!! 🥰❤️

Definitely paint the bottom and leave the ceiling white. Love the color. ❤
Your home is Absolutely Beautiful and I love the accent paint wall ❤ also can you tell me where the lamp on your console tale is from.

First one here! saw the preview on IG ! Loving the changes
I’m so glad you caught the sneak peek! 💕
I love the dining room makeover. I wouldn’t paint the entire wall dark. Your home is beautiful 😍
Thank you so much!

Love the foyer update
Hi beautiful couple 🌺A great fit and color. Love 💗
The dining room is beautiful. I don’t do trends. That color drenching is ok but I feel it will only be here for a little while, just like everything else.
That’s very true! I want to live with it for awhile and then decide, kind of thinking of leaving it as is though ❤️

Today is a big day for elmo….INSTANT LIKE! 😂
I like it the way it is, stop while you're ahead, I've been using black but it has to be strategically done
Definitely color drench the entire room, ceiling and all
I did the powder room, the library and the movie lounge
I absolutely love those rooms
Commit or else it looks a little dated
Did I miss you saying the name of the paint color!!!???😢. WHAT IS THE COLOR PLEASE AND THANK YOU!!!????????🙏🏾
I think you should paint the entire walls. Leaving that way it looks unfinished to the eyes. If you are doing an accent wall it is painted from top to bottom, then the beauty stands out. But it’s a beautiful color.
Also consider how light hits all areas
It is beautiful; but I think it would be even more beautiful if you paint the walls completely. Your dinning chairs would show up even more.
What are the paint colors that you used?
The white is too much of a contrast. Do the color drench….scary cat!!!! 😊 Also buy the furniture mover pads….will save your backs.
❤
Hey Cara
😢why are you doing this its beautiful already...😅
Color drench it, this looks dated with the two tone
Paint the whole wall. Now you’ve got a weird dark stripe around the room. It’s awful and dated. Looked better before all one color
