Thank you, thank you, thank you! Other than reading that it is an intense course, now I have a REAL idea on what to expect thanks to your informative videos!
Thanks for the video. Keeping in view your non-teaching background, I have two questions here: (1) how did you pass the pre-interview task?; and (2) how did you pass the interview?
Thank you for sharing your CELTA experiences. I have watched and 'liked' all of your videos. I found them very helpful, as I plan to do the course this year. Your videos have answered a lot of my questions and made me feel more confident pre-interview. All the best with your career!
GraceGoesGlobal Ah! That's splendid! If I ever get another cat I'll name it after an Austen character. Austen is such great inspiration. I'm writing an Austenesque novel and your pets have given me the idea of including a family pet. Thank you!
Thank you very much for sharing your invaluable experience of studying for a CELTA and giving us great tips. I have considered taking it in another country, either in the UK or Australia. By the way, I am from Brazil.
Thanks a bunch. While doing some research on the CELTA course in order to find out whether I met the requirements or not, I was just picturing myself teaching a small group of students and being observed by a tutor - that freaked me out! Although having some teaching experience, I still feel a bit insecure at times. However, I am willing to seek professional development and that means that oftentimes, I've got to get out of my comfort zone to succeed. I came across your video today and after watching everything, I decided to take the course as soon as possible it doesn't matter where, though.
Thank you so much for the video! I was looking for something exactly like this. I hope to make a career out of this (travel of course, hehe) and I have zero experience in teaching. I hadn't come across someone in a situation like mine. I mostly found info provided by people who had experience before taking the celta course. I'll watch the whole series! :)
+sandra mar I'm so glad it was helpful to you! That's actually the reason I made the series, because I couldn't find anyone in my same situation either. Don't worry - there are plenty of us! And it's a great career! Good luck!
Great job! thanks a lot for this overview, I really needed it.. I'm a non native speaker English teacher, do you think this is going to be as easy for me as for a native speaker ?
+Samuele Crotti Thanks! I'm glad it was helpful. I took the course in July/August 2014 and was 23 at the time but there's a HUGE age range when it comes to the CELTA.
hi! i searched a lot for such videos thanks a lot. if you may help me could you clearly say what are the requirements to have in order to take celta for non native? and then is it accepted in English academies to teach with?
Thanks for these videos, they are very informative. But is there a test that we have to qualify to get addmision in CELTA or TEFL? If there is a test how to prepare for it? Plz do reply I want to do this course.
hi Gracegoesglobal.. im planning to go for the CELTA course in February in shaa Allah!! i wanted to knw wat is the main element to get through the course???
+shade copper I would say just stay organized and don't procrastinate. It's a lot thrown at you at once but not necessarily very difficult stuff. You just have to stay on top of it all which can be a challenge. Good luck on your course!
@GraceGoesGlobal,i am opting for the 3 months course... and i already bought the book learning teaching by jim scrivener!! ofcourse on ur recomendation to ur audience !! did u read all of that or just part of it or was it all on the content u worked on in the celta class??? also i wanted to know which part of the book is more important and considered compulsory in the celta class?? and thank u so much for ur quick response!!!
cool, thank you for your response. Does it make a significant difference if you have a BA or no BA when trying to get a job as an English teacher? I may move back to my home country South Korea and since I don't have a BA, but I am fluent in English in speaking/writing/reading, I thought getting a certificate would be a great idea. I love to mentor and teach young college students and some adults.
Most jobs ask for a BA, if I'm honest, but the demand is so high in SK that I don't think you'll have a lot of trouble finding a job. Having a certificate will really help, the pay and/or benefits might be limited, but honestly it could go either way.
It all depends on what type of job you're going for. If you want to work in an accredited school then yes, a teaching degree is more desirable, but if you're looking for learning center work then the CELTA's the best tefl you can get.
Background music is incredibly distracting.
My interview is tomorrow and I'm excited. Thank you for this! Greets from Brazil.
I am from Brazil too. Did you do the course? How was it?
Thank you for sharing your invaluable experience.
Thank you for this videos! they´ve helped me a lot to have a clear idea of what to expect from the CELTA experience .
Thank you, thank you, thank you! Other than reading that it is an intense course, now I have a REAL idea on what to expect thanks to your informative videos!
Good to invest in Celta. Teacher training more organised and systematic. Great!
You made it sound so easy...Thank you, this is one of the best videos, about CELTA.
Thank you! I hope it helps you! It's a challenging course, but the fact that it's hard to find information on it makes it more difficult, I think.
Thanks for the video.

You're welcome. I'm also a Jane Austen fan, Mr. Bingley made me chuckle.
We have three Austen pets in my family: Mr. BIngley, Darcy, and Emma :)

What a wonderful video! Very informative!

The viedo is very uesful..
May you provide me the common questions that come in application of the celta course??
Thank you a lot dear...
Thank you for this video. It cleared up some minor(but crucial) details about the CELTA course.
Do you know if you need to have a B.A?
+Karima AP No, you don't. However, many ESL jobs will require it so you may be a bit limited on job options but it's totally possible!
+GraceGoesGlobal Do you have a B.a?
Very helpful...! Thank you!
This is very helpful. Thank you
What made you think the background music was a good idea?

Wow! In brazil the price is really scary. We pay almost R $5.000 reais. For us, believe me its a lot of money
Great job! thanks a lot for this overview, I really needed it.. I'm a non native speaker English teacher, do you think this is going to be as easy for me as for a native speaker ?
Why did you add background ukalaily?
It makes it difficult to hear what you are saying.
Great video, great tips, except for the music which is so disturbing....
Hi! I have really appreciated the video and the US accent! I would ask you how old you were when you started taking the CELTA. THANKS A LOT 😊
+Samuele Crotti Thanks! I'm glad it was helpful. I took the course in July/August 2014 and was 23 at the time but there's a HUGE age range when it comes to the CELTA.
hi dear please tell me what is CELTA pre courses task
What about non native speakers?
Thanks for the video! You're awesome :) I am sure you've become a great teacher :-)
+theSOUNDofYAZIK Thank you so much! What a kind comment! :)

Mantasha Khan, yes there is a pre-test, grammar test, writing and interview
Gaga86 thanks for reply. Have you done it? I actually want to apply for it and I am not a native speaker so I need some guidance.
@@letslearn4039, not yet. I just did some research on it. the pre test is free.
I guess that for a non native speaker you must have a kind of interview which garantees the quality of your skills.
Really? Thank you for pointing that out for others, I didn't know that!
Great video. Can you help me teach English? I am Russian. Also I am a yoga teacher
Thank you so much!!

Does anybody know if you need to have a BA? Can you work with the CELTA with just n associates degree?
Karima AP , i think that most of schools ask for BA + Celta/ TEFL. however, if you are a native speaker, maybe not.
i am in Europe and i would like to learn celta but I am not sure after when I get my diploma will I find work to earn money in Europe ?
You can teach online.
agree no music please
do you have to have a BA in order to take CELTA course?
nope!

why did you cut your beautiful hair.
It isn't necessarily true that CELTA is recognised all over the world....most Asian countries prefer TEFL with a teaching degree.
It all depends on what type of job you're going for. If you want to work in an accredited school then yes, a teaching degree is more desirable, but if you're looking for learning center work then the CELTA's the best tefl you can get.
