My neighbor just bought new appliances. I'm the incredibly happy recipient of all that amazingly thick cardboard boxes. New Refrigerator, washer & dryer, stove & dishwasher. Just finished disassembling all the boxes and what a gold mine I have! Just a side note: If you don't have old furniture bits to use just glue several layers of cardboard together and sit something heavy on top while it dries. It's every bit as sturdy as wood when your done. My friend is a cardboard queen and made the frame for her sofa using layers of cardboard glued together with a glue and sawdust mix. She got the sawdust from her local home Home Depot for free. Her sofa is as sturdy, if not more sturdy, than my commercially made one and gorgeous to boot. Cardboard rules!!
