Sanda, please let’s do better journalism. We can not accept government’s statements as fact. The EC has by commission or omission disenfranchised persons in 4 communities. No ex-post rationalization should be treated as fact guys. Let’s be empathetic team Citi. Thanks.
I don’t think it’s government fact. It’s actually on record that the parliament of Ghana created the district very late for a Constituency to be created out of it. This is a matter of public record and can be sought in parliament if you want. I think the local government ministry must be held responsible for going to parliament too late to create that district, thereby making it impossible for EC to create its constituency out of it. It’s simple facts. EC is only saying that allowing the people of SALL to vote for an MP in an existing constituency would’ve been illegal, and that MP challenged in court.
Which other fact is available to prove and justify your claims. Just make them available for public consumption. Fact is fact...
Kindly take your time and read the response from EC. A lot of the time, we tend to believe people with big portfolio and known to the public. Franklin is not infallible

What you need to learn and understand is that, Law is law and has no regional preference. Ghana isn't like the US where States have different laws. Even with that, there are national laws that overrule whichever state laws. Emotions and desires don't make laws. Let's follow the legislative instruments and and we are good to go.
Sanda your desire to play the deveil's advocate is making you loose your rationality. You are simply repeating the ECs talking points without a proper interrogation of the issues.
You are not exacting accountability from those you should exact it from. There is a need for you to have a good understanding of the issues and ask the right questions. Engaging in antagonistics journalism for the sake of it does not make you a good journalist. This is how journalists ruin their reputations

Franklin is either being emotional or lacks understanding.. he is not making any sensible arguments yet on rampage of insults. After 2021, they explain that any party in government can decide to create constituencies at will in places that favour them to allow them win...learn and stop the insults... By your illogical logic, NPP could have created 5 more constituencies in Ashanti and have elections to maintain majority in Parliament after 2020 elections. The constitution is not an emotional and sentimental document. Franklin has to learn and stop shouting everywhere.

So it is legal for a whole people not to have representation in parliament but illegal to vote in another constituency. What journalism is this?
