Lol! No no, the wonderful thing about it is there are so many fantastic artists out there that everyone can give it a shot and share their style with the world. I'm just glad someone appreciates my stuff. It's very humbling and puts a smile on my face. Chip music continues to grow and it's because of passionate people like you that spread it around. I don't consider myself a chip god by any means. I'm just another dude making stuff and enjoying the positive feedback when I can get it :P. Thanks dude.
Jredd Trex Well, that's why I keep doing this. This kind of music is underrated now, but the genre is growing very fast. Many new artists appear, because it is very easy to start making chiptune, but hard to make a masterpiece. I often see comments from people, who never heard about chiptune before, and my duty is to give them the best. Maybe one day people will stop consider chiptune as geek music only.
You know just how to find the best chiptunes and FMs, and put them together in the right order to create an experience that is greater than the sum of all these already great chiptunes combined. Even if the track transitions are usually simple to the point that I'm sure a lot of people would nitpick and say you've just created a playlist, you've still created a single experience from many small ones. Here's to number 20, and thank you so much.
+DDRKirby(ISQ) Then perhaps you can answer... what game is that death noise from at 8:55? It's driving me crazy! At first I thought it was from Fantasy Zone, but I fired it up to check and it's not from that. Great tune BTW.
You're the fucking man, Krelez. Thanks to you I've got a place to go to find awesome chiptune, and to find all the awesome artists out there keeping the tradition alive!
I see those flowers, i imagine a whysmical world, where there is no grey, no orders, no evil, no good, only the sky, the earth, and you, fused, as one, together, and that's everything that matters. Running through the flowers, but without hurting them, you smile, the sun hitting your face, you smile even more, a tear going down my eye, and i'm back to reality..
i like lsdj and Adlib tracker with opl3 supprot and opl2 the tracker emulates what an adlib or sound blaster pro did and lsdj is for gameboy dmg, gbc, sgb and gba.
Here is a list of artists that have made chiptune music I think is good - Alex Mauer - Blitz Lunar - Coda - Crappy Blue Luigi - Disasterpeace - Dr. Zilog - Fearofdark - Flashygoodness - H∆RRISON W0LF CRUTCHER - Infodrive - Jayster - Lukas Erikson - MicroD - Monomania - Potato-tan - S.P.R.Y. - SAVESTATES - Square Therapy - Tim Follin - Zan-zan-zawa-veia - zawa - 1.000.000 boys - 3ndymion - Kojio Kondo - Rohbugga - Tony Thai - The people who made the music for earthbound
famitracker is a good program to start with I guess but I'd say don't bother unless you have experience with electronic music already and would already know about that stuff, if you watch a chiptune song that shows it being played in the tracker you can see how ungodly complicated it at least looks. I downloaded one once and I was just like "WHAT IN GOD'S NAME IS THIS EXTRATERRESTRIAL TECHNOLOGY THAT LIES BEFORE ME???!??!" I'm probably making it sound a million times more difficult than it is since I know virtually nothing about it, but if you've got guitar skills why not just try to collab with some chiptune artist and record guitar backing for them like in anamanaguchi? it would probably be more fun and it's something you could do right away rather than spend an aggravating year or whatnot gradually learning about
Though I must ask you something; Could you please exclude chiptunes with 'bad words'? I dont really appreciate the unnecessary cursing. I like chiptune music because its one of the purest forms of music. Bad words only ruin it, for no good reason. I still love your collection.
Sorry about that, english is not my native language, so it's harder for me to take these words so seriously. I'll try not to make such a mistake in future though.
I would start with getting right software called "tracker". Like Famitracker, Fasttracker or my favourite Renoise. It's interface looks kinda complicated but it is great anyway. It also supports .xm and .it files, many chiptune songs use this format. For example try to open this great song by FearOfDark in renoise and see how the song is built: modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=169104 . Looks really impressive. Also there are lots of useful tutorials on youtube.
Still listening 9 years later.
Very honored to be in this excellent mix man. Top quality stuff. Just wonderful :).
It would never happen without people like you. Everyone, praise our chiptune gods!

I'm in love with your style, like " Street of Rage ". Respect !
Ludovic Sadier
Thanks dude! :D

I have decided, toast goes well with chiptune.
Yeah cuz they're both so crispy!! x)
You know the community's great when this is one of the top comments
This is my go to music for when I have a crap ton of homework to do.
three years later this is still true just so you know
Thanks to these mixes being the back drop of homework for 6 years, I wrote a final paper on chiptunes, so I totally get you!
Oh hey, it's me. Sweet!
DDRKirby(ISQ) its not sweet.. ITS AMAZING. GJ.
+DDRKirby(ISQ) Then perhaps you can answer... what game is that death noise from at 8:55? It's driving me crazy! At first I thought it was from Fantasy Zone, but I fired it up to check and it's not from that. Great tune BTW.
+Stephen Marshall I know that... im sad for you son because your going to feel bad for asking.
Gradius
+Stephen Marshall ah, crap. I actually wish I knew too, but it just came in a huge sample pack so I have no idea what the actual source is from =(
+DDRKirby(ISQ) I'm just going to go ahead and downvote my own comment here out of stupidity and not reading the second line of LightFredyDark's post
Love the music, makes it easy so I don't have to go through the work of finding all of this great music!

What Sunrise to Sunset version did you take? I knew the one from Battle of the bits, the ending sounds different
Art Remix ᴴᴰ It's from Jayster's soundcloud page.
Krelez Okay thank you
Neon Alley sounds heavily influenced by Hydrocity Zone from Sonic 3.

Ristar!
Could you please add a link to Elwood's page?
#chiptuneisforawesomepeoplelikeus :D
I play guitar, but i wanted to learn how to Chiptune!
Do you know a site or something to help me, bud?

YUS!
YYYYYEEEEEESSSSS
Does anyone know if chiptune artists do concerts? Where could I find information on that?
I've been to an anamanaguchi concert that cost ten bucks and I know many others tour as well. check on their websites
Knife city - Precious jewel
YESSSSSS

Jayster is gone from SoundCloud. :(
Oh, actually, he is still there, this is his new link. soundcloud.com/jaystermusic/tracks
not a fan of the vocals used in knife city, but other than that, this is a pretty okay mix.
Though I must ask you something;

Krelez
Its ok bro. Thanks for the quick response :D btw, I was talking about 'Knife city - Precious jewel'.
Quincy Simons Are you scared of knifes ?
david quintanilla ... Corny. Sit the fuck down.
*.-.*
I don't think he should exclude good songs just because your mom beat you when you said dammit as a kid.
But that's just my opinion, right?
Woke Ristar was here!
Koif Citty
c:
I would, but I'm too busy not giving a shit about that guy's opinion.
:(
