You are the one person that actually crushed the meme: "Oh, so you've studied Shakespeare. Name all the plays he wrote." 😂
YES
And then he did most of them IN CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER
Name them. Easy. But he did them folio order and I have to just gracefully bow down
I expected it to be one of those videos 🤣
He definitely looked them all up before though
"Oh I don't have to do it in chronological order" - proceeds to continue doing it in chronological order
this guy seems weirdly familiar?
Yeah, i also think so
niice
Do you know him? 🤔
i thought that too
I thought that hmmm
Jack has surpassed himself, again... He has just created a channel to remind us that he has a Literature degree 😝😝
😂😂
Literally lol. And I’m loving every second of it. 🤩
@@andresbecerra1183 totally 😆
Lol 😆
Lmaoo
"Look at Homer there like Beyonce" he said while in the middle of a crisis😂 oh, I've never laughed this much
LOL, when your worlds collide 😂😂 I will never look at or study Homer's works the same again 😂 #HomerBeyoncé
I'm weirdly annoyed that he failed the quiz because he was busy making this comment
Me either 😂😂😂
"The now's not the time" bit legit killed me and I'm questioning my sexuality rn xD
Referring his degree as a 'long term investment for pub quizzes' is jokes hahah
Yes. When he said that about his degree it reminded me of Machado De Assis. In Epitaph of a Small Winner the character says something like "University wasn't a complete waste of time. I got 3 lines from Virgil and 2 lines from Horace which I can remember for the rest of my life".
excuse me WHAT - he just casually named ALL of the Shakespeare plays - WHAT AN ABSOLUTE ICON.
I doubt he has read them all though. And he had time to prepare this before filming. No reason to be impressed.
@@ericaabawe8038 or maybe he has read them all and can actually remember them ... idk just a thought 🤯
@@tgalx I very much doubt it. I think you are giving him credit for being much better read than he actually is.
@@ericaabawe8038 Why are you assuming so much about him. I studied English Literature in Uni and did a whole semster on Shakespeare (just like him) and I have read almost all plays (probably finish all of them this year) and i could name about 93% of them.. It’s not impossible
@@Sara-kq8qb My assumptions about him not being well read are based on evidence. He hasn't heard of James Kelman, he hasn't heard of Anita Brookner - these are hardly obscure writers.
You naming all Shakespeare’s plays was wildly impressive!!!!!
i don't know what part of my brain that came from honestly
Even more so in order. I’ve done these type before and knew it didn’t have to be in order.
I know right!!!
Can’t believe Merchant of Venice was the last one he got! It was the first one I ever studied, and I’ve always loved it because I got to play Portia
@@jack_in_the_books I’m confused at how you remembered how they were all spelled 😂
I don’t think Homer and Beyoncé have ever been named in the same sentence before lmao
This is so wholesome because he is not vain or cockey he genuinely impressed with his results :)
He comes across as a really cool dude and like someone who would make a genuinely good friend lmao
YOU JUST CASUALLY NAMED ALMOST ALL THE SHAKSPERE’S WORKS IN ORDER
"Hopefully you can see whats on my screen right now?" Literally all of my uni lecturers this year lmao hahahha
Aha that’s what I was thinking😂
It’s even more fun when you have to walk your ancient professor through how to work with all these programs..
It’s kinda annoying but I also feel so bad for all of them, they just got thrown into the deep end.. Honestly schools should give their teachers like an I.T.101 instead of just expecting them to figure everything out themselves at their age..
seeing you write all of shakespeare's plays in order from memory was somehow weirdly kind of a turnon??
Wow this has a lot of likes
I completely agree! I came into the comments to see if anyone else said it 😂
@@gangplaysminecraft9039 i'm glad i'm not the only one who thought that but it fucking was
@@gangplaysminecraft9039 right ??? I just realized hahahah wasn't expecting this
Sapiosexual they say it's called. Nice
You naming all Shakespeare’s plays has got to be one of the sexiest things I have ever witnessed!
that is a very... unique choice of adjective
@@rapizer3427 ikr 🤣
I agree Ioana.
Wtf ur weird
Low key I agree
No one:
Jack: tHeYrE hAviNg a GigGle
cracked me up xD
i’m so here for this corner of the internet
he named 11 plays in order in 1 minute and proceeded to say “oh this is hard”... I-
Me having no clue about english literature and only ever read 3 Shakespeare plays
Jack: we can compete, except you will win
Me: yeah... Not sure about that mate
The way you did them in order, not realising you didn't have to, was a little stessful - not going to lie 🤣😭
i just realized that taylor swift used these references:
"it was the best of times, worst of crimes" in getaway car
"all's well that ends well to end up with you" in lover
and my head exploded
Yesssss hi fellow swiftieeee. I was looking for the same comment!!!
And "right down the rabbit hole" :)
Never forget Romeo and juliet
“tell me what are my Wordsworth” -the lakes
yessssss
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. Sounds like a taylor swift song
She used that reference in the song getaway car one rep, it was the best of times the worst of Crimes. I stroke a match and blew your mind
i started singing it 😭
Lol I was about to comment this
I thought of panic at the disco
No. Taylor Swift sounds like The quote. Probably influenced her and she loves the quote
If I named all of Shakespeare’s plays in order I would literally be obsessed with myself,,,, like my hubris would know no bounds
*THIS CANNEL FEELS LIKE A SECRET CIRCLE*
I was feeling so much anxiety thinking that you weren't going to finish that first one in time..
omg same
rightt i kept thinking answer now, explain later
“I’ve been here since day one”
Specifically since 49 minutes
I was SO impressed with the Shakespeare one!! And the fact that you managed to do most of them in order as well ... wtf. Genius shit. Worth the £27k
literally yelling at the screen "A TALE OF TWO CITIES" XD
Only jack edwards can make Shakespeare interesting
‘chatty, fun, stupid, candid videos’, didn’t you already make those jack? so excited about this! congrats

@@jenicenewberry6789 omg i've been waiting for someone to recognise the lyrics!!!!
TOOK AND WRONG TURN AND WE FELL DOWN A RABBIT HOLE
As someone who loves your personality, and just you as a person, I wholeheartedly welcome this. Thank you, Jack.
“I feel like a gamer”
petition for Jack to start a stardew valley series on this channel
Jack x Elliott is canon now
Never thought I‘d be screaming “it’s merchant of venice!” at my screen but here we are...
me watching you name shakespeare plays i didn't know existed even though i too have a literature degree: 👁👄👁
Yelling "a tale of two cities" at the screen was an adventure 😂 Thank goodness you worked it out 😂
The "subscribe to be able to say you were here from day one" really got me
Jeez, you naming all Shakespeare’s plays in chronological order was hella impressive.. I’m not even sure I could do that with marvel cinematic universe...
Jack saying ''that's aaaabsolutely fine'' is me everyday in real life lol
I love that I'm in Biology major, I should write my thesis about molecular biological analysis of viruses in a completely different language bc I'm Hungarian and I live there yet I binge-watch your videos about English literature. Procrastination at its finest
I'm so in for more of Jack in the internet.
'A long term investment into being good at pub quizzes.' I'm in stitches 😂😂
i never clicked faster
i know same !
hello first comment nice to meet you
@@Sohamsta testament to how nocturnal i am. i mean it came out around 4 am my time. HAHAHAH
@@Sohamsta and hello. nice to meet you too
@@ThatStickFromShadesmar oh wow your speed of arrival from instagram is gr8 😃
“Look at Homer out here like Beyoncé- now’s not the time.”
Love how he did the Shakespeare plays chronologically, found out he didn't have to, and then was able to do the next four in order anyway!
Was shouting at the screen for outlander and Lotr questions but hey I couldn’t name all of Shakespeare’s plays 😅
okay this channel is the best thing about 2021 so far! sooo excited for all the content Jack ☺️
The channel i didn't know i needed until now. I'm so excited!
This was actually way more entertaining than I expected and I would love to see another video like this.
I am obsessed with your videos... WHY DO YOU HAVE TO EXPLAIN THINGS SO WELL!?
Loved this Jack!! Chatty and fun, really cheered me up in these not so fun times😅❤️
Jack: lists all the plays written by Shakespear except for one
Me, who had to memorize the entire "A pound of flesh" monologue for my English class in HS:
* screams at the screen * YOU HAVEN'T WRITTEN MERCHANT OF VENICE YET! THAT HAS TO BE MERCHANT OF VENICE
love the chilled vibes of the channel already, jack just seems so much happier aha

Just found your channel from a youtube recommendation and this is wildly entertaining!
I had an exceptional literature teacher in high school and loved reading so it was fun watching this video also.. Great refresher and love your channels! I just found them
I love this, as a lit student this seems like a good view of what the future holds
This is content I didn’t know I needed - love it! 🤩✨🙏
Its the way that i love these kinds of videos, such a niche but its soo cool to see someone be knowlegable about things
I can’t believe you named all the Shakespeare plays! I literally handed in my Shakespeare coursework last week and I only got 31/38! 😅Also, this is probably a stupid question but what order were you naming them in- like the order in the first folio? Because it wasn’t date order and I was so confused 😆 loving this new channel already btw!
This video was so entertaining. Can’t wait for more content here ✨
"look at homer there like beyonce" 😂😂😂
absl loved this jack!! the Shakespeare quiz was great x
these are exactly the vibes i needed going into second term of uni:)
the second channel has just MADE MY DAY. jack you're an absolute saviour.
Looking forward to all things random!! Love the channel idea, can't wait for the puns😂
I love your content! Just a new subscriber of your main channel, and I'm here again to subscribe. I love literature and I'm happy to see a channel like yours!

This is the library corner I never knew I needed, but I’m totally living for it.😉👍👍
I AM EXTREMELY EXCITED FOR THIS CHANNEL
Totally here for this content.
Also dunno if taking a level lit with art, math and physics is a good idea, but you have somehow convinced me
Not me shouting Merchant of Venice at my screen. Kudos for knowing much of those plays in order.
11:05 i ADORE measure for measure and it's so nice to hear other folks like it too!
I already love this channel
I cannot wait for what this channel is going to bring Jack!!!! I would love an unpopular book opinion video! Love ya Jedward :)
Bruhhh I’m shook someone knew all of Shakespeare’s work
Oh man, you just took me back like six years. My friends and I were obsessed with Sporcle quizzes in high school
I was yelling "A Tale of two Cities" through my computer screen. Never even read it, but I thought that was common knowledge.
This is my comfort vid. Thank you :)
i have never subscribed faster to a channel ! i love this so much... ahhhhhhhh
Im so excited for this second channel!!!!
This is the quality content I need 😂 also me screaming ITS TALE OF THE TWO CITIES at the screen 😂😂
WE NEEDED THIS THANK YOU
Ayyy my day has been made!! This is so excitinggg
I am so incredibly stunned that you were able to name all of the Shakespeare plays in date order, and in like 4 minutes. Wtf Jack 😂 a well earned literature degree that's for sure and I think I just fell in love.
Jack's content has been the best thing about 2020-21, fite me
I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS
