    First!!!!
    Clean the PCV it may help with the idle, and make sure the hoses are on there tight. Its know to give our cars idle issues.

    You should buy the Evo 10 AEM air intake with a closed off box so no hot air will go in

    You should also check your fuel pressure, sometime to much can cause crappy idle also.

    Clean the whole throttle body. Had the same issue on my Evo 8. It would stall if the headlights were on or if the AC was on. This was due to a dirty Idle control valve. Cleaned it, no issues since.

    basically u didn't waiting long enough after cleaning the throttle body, u gotta wait at least 30min to 1hr to completly dry up inside, i've done the same thing got impatient and started my car witout letting dry, but ya that was ur issue all the junk made hard to open the throttle

    Don’t use any cleaner on the MAF sensor. The Mitsubishi sensors are super touchy and you will fry it. Btw the Evo X has that super common issue when the fans kick in and shoot air directly to the maf. It can’t pick up all the extra unmetered air and causes a idle “hunt” issue.

      Would this issue also cause the Idle to lope and sound as if the car was a cammed v8? Mine does the same damn thing only after its been running for a while.

      Yes stock cams, I have full boltons and a stock location GTX3576R. The Injector size is 1700 CC also so I just assumed the ECU was freaking out in closed loop STFT.

      Ri Scholt I’d if your on pump gas but 1700cc on pump can be hard to dial in a smooth idle. it could be a possible miss in a table during tuning. I had an idle table that my previous tuner accidentally missed which caused it to have a very big cam lope to it. Then again I was on Gsc s2’s. But regardless it’s commonly know for evo X to have that issue when the fans kick on in the car when you stop. 🤷‍♂️

    Heatsoak bro. You really need a better heat shield. At a stand still , especially when the radiator fan kicks on, there little to no air flow and your air temps are probably @ 160 n its leaning out and stalling.

    Don't spray throttle body cleaner directly into the throttle body. Spray it on the rag first, then wipe down the surface. Directly spraying it in the throttle body can cause it to delay starting like it did due to fluid buildup in the intake.

    Yoo Devin I had the same problem on my tsx, i have about the same size turbo as u 6466 but its 97 degrees or hotter everyday in the valley from noon-10ish and my car had no power & very noticeable turbo lag bc it was just inhaling super hot air. Especially when the fans turn on like u said (after about 5mins of driving lol) I was just told to open the car up to let heat escape more efficiently

    I had the same problem on my evo 8 after installing a fp turbo, ended up being the idle air control sensor going bad, replaced it and the car runs like new again.. you can always clean yours first and see if that helps.. everytime you clean the throttle body you have to let it(dry) set for a while , specially on evos..

    Had the same problem with idle and going rich. Change almost everything but problem was still there. Tuner then tuned me on speed density, idle sort of stabled a little bit. But still getting check engine/rich.. sooo fraustrating!

    Dude loving your videos. But your throttle body spray what caused the hard start. It happen to me already. But it will not happen in a hurry. Anyways,loving your videos.

    When the EVO X dies you must look at the Fu**ing Crank Angle Sensor... the kick in the balls is No Check Engine Light will not come on.... I had my EVO in the dealership and they could not figure it out. My EVO X started to die at stop lights and then it would die while driving and after letting the car cool down it would start up again. CRANK ANGLE SENSOR!!!!

      Don’t get frustrated my EVO X has my wallet by the balls... 565 whp and 460 tq ... fun come at a price.

    Mine has been doing the same thing at idle, but I'm getting a code for the O2 sensor so I'll be replacing that and see what happens

    Made it to the end, and when u first fired up the Evo after removing then plugging your MAF sensor back in it started EXTREMELY ROUGH😱🤔. Why was that man?

    Hey Devin recently built my engine for my evo x, Wesson piston, h beam rods and bigger turbo mine dies after a couple minutes taking off or coming to a stop or at idle runs rough. Stock tune injector and fuel pump I’m trying to break the engine before tune and swap fuel pump and injectors. Threw a p0017 p0011 currently no codes. Any suggestions? Thought about doing what you mentioned in this video

      What type clamps you using and are the pipes bead rolled? Shouldn’t really have any problems at 26psi with proper kit

      @@jmizzonini it was my ets coupler. When i took it off, I noticed it was very soft for some odd reason. Replaced that also a better quality t bolt clamp and now it's good :)

    What would be ur advice for evo running rich , i checked for leaks and theres none , cleaned MAF still will have high idle randomly and run pig rich

      EvO_X_ 11C Damn, at least you fixed it. My Evo isn’t idling correctly. Kinda sounds like she wants to turn off a little. And the rpms sometimes jump from 500-1k rpms. I might replace the spark plugs, clean throttle body, clean mad, and maybe relocate the intake. She’s pretty much stock except for a few bolts on, test pipe and cat back exhaust. So I’m kinda confused

      @@sage_brains7133 yeah man definitely sounds like it could be that i allways start with the most simple stuff first. Do you have a cover over your intake? Because when the fans kick on it can cause sputtering idle. Also u can try cleaning your MAF with MAF cleaner. Change plugs like u said, check your vacuum lines, injectors. I had to run through all that shit on my car till i found it to be an injectors. Is it random on your car? Or is it a constant problem?

      EvO_X_ 11C Yeah it has a cover, but doesn’t cover it very good. Only covers the front of it. And yeah I’m gonna clean the MAF sensor (accidentally put mad). Nah she doesn’t idle correctly pretty much all the time ;/
