They are doing a great job! so glad i found them :)
With so many cool new bands pulling influence from the 70s era Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple, it's really awesome to see a band pulling influence from 70s era Black Sabbath.
Discovered this band on Metal Hammer' s "Sons of Sabbath" CD! I could almost swear that some of their songs are lost Sabbath demos from 1974! I LOVE 'em!
Singer sounds like Scott "Wino" Weinrich & looks like Ozzy Osbourne, yet the band, as a hole, sounds awesome enough for us to not matter who they sound like or who they look like.

A friend of mine slammed you, saying you where too much like Black Sabbath and blah blah blah....but I say BULLSHIT. Obviously there is the Sabbath flavor there....but EVERYONE since Sabbath is just re-doing something Sabbath has already done...so it does not matter. What DOES matter is that you guys rock. I love Sabbath covers, yet not everyone can pull it off(need we mention Ugly Kid Joe), but to no one's surprise Orchid rips the shit out of a bad ass obscure Sabbath jam. Makes me believe good metal is still out there. I love how this sounds like a dirt you can't wash off!
The lead singer is obviously and so blatantly inspired by ozzy osbourne. From the way he headbangs, the way he dresses, the way he parts his hair, to the voice itself.
Alt+Doom no man I never said that however I would rather have him come up with at least a couple signature gestures that would make him unique. There's a difference between being inspired and straight up copying, which is what I think he is doing.
I love this band bought the album from amazon uk....one thought though is that these guys will create even more epic albums in the future (think down). Branching into other elements of the 70's (can you hear a House of the Holy Zep thing I can) keep at it lads in the name of Iommi,Ozzy,Geezer and Ward--- Sabbath be praised. \m/
